What’s the best way to learn about the lore of this series? Is it explained in LoL, the card game, or somewhere else? I want to learn everything before the MMORPG comes out in a few years.

Also how much different is Wild Rift compared to the PC version of the game? I understand that the matches are quicker, but the concept is the same, correct? How inferior is it to the PC chad version?
It's a completely different game. Basically the PC version but super dumbed down for phones. It's actually superior visually because they're using a new engine, but gameplay wise it's super bad.
the story of league is retarded because nothing ever happens. everyone gets a small backstory and then thats it. done.
there is no reason why they are all fighting on the rift, there is no canon victor on the rift. the actual game never happens. just read every champion's 3 paragraphs and that is all the lore.
here is your very short explanation: demacia and noxus are two kingdoms usually fighting eachother. piltover and zaun are two cities usually fighting eachother but its a rich vs poor kinda thing, and its the arcane show.
ionia is "asia" and they fought noxus that one time. bilgewater is pirateland basically. yordles are small furballs that have a magic portal to their town, bandlecity, only they can open it but they also show up in everyone elses kingdoms.
vastaya are the anthro furry race, mostly from ionia? freljord is the north pole and they dont interact much with anyone but themselves. shurima is "egypt" and the kingdom got destroyed many years ago.
reading league's lore is a a pain because it's it takes a while to realize what got retconned and what hasn't
Why not take in the lore when they present it to you in the game instead? It might not even be a game worth playing, why waste a bunch of time getting into shitty lore for a game you'll never play?
Watch Arcane, it's on Netflix
I'm about halfway through it, when does the titular league come into play?
Titular league? What? Do you think that just because something is named after something else, it should also be themed after it? Did you expect Counter Strike to have you counter strikes or what?
but you recieve or execute a counter strike after halftime?
dont use logic with passcucks, anon. they already have a badge for their stupid.
Guess I could have chosen a better example.
Payday! You don't even have a salary for a "payday" to exist.
Like I said, it has nothing to do with leagues. Stop expecting a game's name to be meaningful.
No, I mean how come the league hasn't been so much as mentioned as of yet?
It's obvious at the point i'm at that this story is set far before the league appears in it's current state, given several champion backstories are involved here. But does it just does not exist yet in the story? I specifically remember the league being used as a way to solve political disputes.
>T. Only watching the show because my league-playing brothers were also watching it.
it doesnt exist anymore, they decided it was retarded. no more. written out. gone.
the actual game hasnt been canon to the larger story in a years
Old lore, they decided it was stupid (It was) and retconned it out of existence
Now the actual matches aren't canon
dumb Ganker pass poster
Nice captcha, slave.
"Few"
If you think modern wow is shit, just wait until the LoL MMO comes out.
They completely removed character lore at like season 3
There’s some Swedish guy on YouTube who has pretty good lore dump videos if you can push through his heavy accent.
Here he is. Not sure if his accent is Swedish but it is heavy. Very much a LoL lore nerd.

Is LoL pozzed to hell with woke shit? I watched the Arcane show with my fiancé and it didn’t seem as bad as I thought it would, but it’s relatively old compared to how fucked everything now is.
>is this buzzword goyslopped up with skibbidi in ohio rizz gyat 3000?
you have brainrot
watch arcane
watch necrit loredump bideos
thats about it, the lore is in yet another upheaval state ATM because they decided to make arcane fully canon to the lore so a lot of stuff is going to be in the process of being overwritten (like always)
and like the other guy said, theres a lot of pastiches and themepark WoW-like stuff so its not that complicated and there's something cool for everyone visually
>they decided to make arcane fully canon to the lore
Pretty obvious they want to market their MMO to as many non gamers as possible which is good because people who have been playing them for years are in stockholm syndrome with whatever they grew up with.
For me its Noxus
My general
>What’s the best way to learn about the lore of this series?
Don't bother, no one cares for it anymore.
>Retcons out the ass
>Millenial writing similar to Borderlands now
>Every single character is LGBT
Riot deleted the lore, that was just a few passages on each champion and reolaced it with shit.
Don't bother. After the Ruined King event, it's pretty obvious that Riot doesn't care about writing a consistent story. They'll even do some stupid shit like writing Akali into Arcane just to sell a new skin.
