pretty much every game with automatic matchmaking uses forced 50. its proven to increase sales. i wont even play games with automatic matchmaking anymore, which sucks because i'm very anti social.
i believe its actually because losing streaks make people quit in frustration. i've seen evidence that it also does give people 1 sided matches to give them "epic stories to tell their friends", but its not totally reliable evidence.
It's about as reliable as the "forced 50" myth you people seem to spread

no forced 50 is well documented, i've tested it. for example, i once was hardstuck in silver in HOTS. i created a new account, and went 56-1. they were flagging certain accounts for forced 50. i'm a very skilled gamer, so you can understand why i just dont even play anymore. i have stories like this from all the popular multiplayer games. there is also a plethora of evidence gathered by the communities online, its tough to hide this stuff when everything is recorded.

I've mostly played Smite/Paladins and HiRez even admitted in the forums they used forced 50 because of the low playerbase.
