It's the way that red V thing swoops into the arms and follows the arms down instead of stopping at the shoulderpad, plus the gloves have red padding on top of them for the top of the joints instead of the entire fingers being red, and the shoes have a bunch of red to them that didn't exist originally.

Because Peter himself made and wore his iconic design for quite a while before he made the Advanced Suit, and Miles is simply following the tradition of starting with a more comic accurate design that becomes something else over time. At least that’s what I think they’re going for.

The white part, along with the red and blue parts of the suit, serve a purpose that I think is pretty cool. The red part of the suit is made out of a reinforced and thicker material, providing Spider-Man some armor and protection, while the blue part adds flexibility. The white bits, which are positioned on his gauntlets, feet, and chest, are carbon fiber, and designed to absorb as much impact as possible, thus offering the most protection. The big white spider is also supposed to be reminiscent of the Symbiote suit and the Superior suit.

Miles’ T.R.A.C.K. Suit also follows a very similar convention according to the concept art. I think it might’ve been the main suit at one point, but they decided to go with the more comic accurate suit instead.
I wish they made the Bodega suit the official outfit minus the backpack because it works so perfectly for who Miles is as a person and as a visually appealing outfit.

What? How? Otto's work was finished at the end and Peter knew how it functioned to the point that he was offering ways to improve it. The issue was that Otto himself didn't want to take time to figure out how to get the chip working without side effects which Peter was advocating for because he had the breakout, Norman stuff, and doing that would mean he'd be "Stuck in this useless body".
There's no reason why Peter wouldn't continue trying to improve it in his off time for his Spider-Man tech. The man had project files from back when he was in high school on his flash drive in the first game, he hoards any and all concepts he can.

Well, it shorts out if any sort of electricity touches it, can only be used for small objects like swords, guns, punchy gloves, or shoes, the swords themselves have to get really thin to extend at all, and as far as we can tell they don't do anything close to what Otto's arms could do.
Keep in mind that Otto could control four arms all at the same time as the rest of his body, the arms were immune to electricity since in his fight he touches it regularly, can lift stuff many times his own weight, can extend a significant distance while still having massive dexterity, and more. You can argue it could maybe worse as a prosthetic but we don't even know if the stuff could maintain a shape like a human hand and function like one since we only ever see gloves on fists, not full on arms.
