When the story and gameplay hit just right and makes me think and feel "wow. Humanity has existed and gotten to the point where this game was made and I'm right here to experience it, and the universe and my existence went through so many steps that led to this moment."
It hits harder when it's a game also played by friends and it's like of all the people I could've met, it was these guys and we're here partaking in this experience.
Most of the time it's single-player games and we play within close spans of time. We've never even met in person.

I like edgy castlevania like characters. There was a "cool shit" thread a few days ago that basically had what I like about Vidya.
Hard-hitting, slow-firing guns like bolt/lever actions, shotguns and revolvers. Machine guns are only fun if they're LMGs. Submachine guns and semi auto pistols are so fricking boring I'd rather just point them at myself.

kf2's is good but something about it just doesn't click as much; might be the faster pace of kf2 compared to kf1's slow and methodical waves broken only by someone raging a scrake or getting snuck up on by a stalker
