1440p is at least better than 1080p, because if a game struggles you can just set render resolution to 720p and use interger scaling to have a sharp image. Much better than the Rog Ally which pretty much recommends running everything at 720p and up-scaling to 1080p with fsr2.

You're wrong in this case, because 720p would be the render resolution, not the screen resolution. The pixel density is good, and using interger scaling would quadruple the pixels, but you wouldn't get the screen door effect because they're so small and close together on a screen that size. There's no denying native 1440p is better, but 720p is fine if you prefer jaggies over the soft look and artifacts from up-scaling with FSR. If FSR3 is really as good as it's being hyped, then every UMPC is gonna get a hefty boost in performance and clarity, and the Legion Go might actually play games at 1440p with reasonable framerates.

Yes, and? The pixel density of the Steam Deck's 7" screen is literally double that of a 27 inch 1440p monitor (216 vs 108) and an 8.8 inch screen would be like 170ppi, which is ~1.6x more dense than a 27" 1440p monitor.

I hope so. They actually added a trackpad, which is a huge step forward. The trackpads are extremely important to making PC games viable on this kind of portable platform.
Those are laptop trackpads. Meaning they're shit. The SD trackpads are great because they have this haptic feedback to them.
