Not exactly new. Of all recent From games, Sekiro's discussions pre-release here was pretty muted. There's some shitposts here and there on how it's a casualized ninja Souls with only one weapon, no invasion, resurrection and all that but shit died down real quick and overall things were quiet until launch.

To put things into perspective:
1. It solved 3D aiming on controllers better than modern console/multiplat slop while not even having functioning thumbsticks.
2. It had amazing Garage first try while Mechwarrior was still 3 years away from having somewhat decent Mechlab.
Agree, there are a lot of subhumans with opinions that cant back any of their trash up. I replay AC1 a lot to this day, and it solved a lot of industry issues on its first try.
AC1 is very technically impressive. As soon as you learn the controls the amount of control you have is really immense. It's so good they didn't bother to even change it until Nexus where they finally put in analogue sticks. That 3-dimensional action is really hard to find a comparison to.
Armored Core was always a pretty niche mecha game series. It really only appeals if you're a mecha nerd. It's not really something meant to get mainstream popularity like this. The only reason it is now is due to From's reputation. I imagine this game will probably sell incredibly well for an AC title, and break the series sales record and then lead to some sequels being greenlit that will sell less and less because mecha isn't viable in the mainstream.
Then it will fade back into obscurity and From will again transition to making souls games or something popular until people get tired of that and then we'll see another revival of AC.
This cycle will continue until the end of the company.
Between BG3 and Starfield, AC6 is dead as frick.

The new gameplay actually made me realize it was even worse than I thought. Just an uninspired mix of gen 4+5 streamlined into a generic action game, no real fresh ideas, with anything cool they could get away with not re-implementing omitted.
Also I don't know what the frick they were thinking giving each weapon a separate fire button, that shit's going to be barely playable without lock-on.
The only thing to do is wait for it to come out now. I'm very hyped but I honestly don't think there is much to talk about rn until I get my hands on it

MT´s are the mass fabricated trash enemies you fight. There are some "elite" military MT´s who can frick you up when in groups and there are some giant MT´s.
AC enemies will be used for your typical mecha duels. The series really respects the powerlevel of the AC, if you have to fight 2 AC´s at the same time shit is getting extremely serious.
I dont know if there are NEXT´s in AC6. NEXT are just gen 2 AC´s. They called the pilot Raven and that is usually used for gen 1 AC pilots. But who knows AC6 is its own universe. And NEXT is basically the AC4 GOTTAGOFAST stuff.
Factions will not be countries but corporations and you will be a mercenary (Raven) and you can do missions for whoever you want. Im very sure about this because its a stable of the series.
