Let me get this straight:
>This guy gets hired to make a horrendous game be less shit
>He makes ONE critically acclaimed expansion
>The rest are mediocre at best
>His friend gets cancer
>His game goes viral one summer because of twitch streamers and the HORRIBLE state of WoW
>Makes the most money in the company's history
>People immediately quit the game because of how shit it is
>Gets to DIRECT a Main Title game
>It's just as mediocre as the rest of the shit he's made
>People still defend him to this day
I don't get it. This man shouldn't have a job. Why am I the only one who sees this?
it's over
Because you're a fricking schizo
I'm cooking and you know it!
>I don't get it. This man shouldn't have a job. Why am I the only one who sees this?
because far worse people in the industry are devs, directors, presidents and even CEOs
you can't really blame him when the west set the bar undeground
Sounds about right. You do realize his company is run by people who are still all in on crypto right?
Has it paid off for them?
What do you think anon?
Whos more moronic SE or sega?
Probably SE. Tough one though.
They're both moronic but I haven't heard of Sega going full in on techbro scams like SE has.
"SUPER GAME" is a guaranteed failure but SEGA are still staking the fate of their company on it
I think Square Enix is one bad year away from selling their asses to Microsoft or maybe even Sony.
Lets not forget he is also a board member at SE.
Every excuse he gives on the low quality of FFXIV is a lie, he has a direct path to make sure the mmo gets a better budget.
I hate this westaboo, risk-averse jap freak but he's the only decent PR guy slopenix still have.
>>The rest are mediocre at best
or so you say, Forspoken shill
>Why am I the only one who sees this?
you're not?
at least he didn't make FFXV or Forspoken
>Gets to DIRECT a Main Title game
He didn't direct FFXVI, he was a producer.
Why do so many of you morons refuse to do five seconds of research? You guys get so much basic shit wrong it's insane.
Well I'm glad he wasn't director but in all honesty he should nowhere near the Final Fantasy IP at all.
if that were the case SE would've gone bankrupt years ago
I think you're being a little dramatic. Yoshi P got lucky. He's not talented.
has AI taught you anything? talent doesn't matter
how mad would you be when we learn he's involved in XVII?
I won't be mad, I'll just skip the product because I know if he's involved the result is going to be trash.
>I'll just skip the product
wish more people would skip also the shitposting
cause I know you won't
you'll be mad and continue to seethe here about it
No. I'll just skip it and wait for a good Final Fantasy game. I've been waiting since X. I'm a patient guy, I guess.
The quest design was just as bad as 14, maybe worse. That was by far its biggest issue. If they cut out the filler and just made it a fast paced 10-20 hr action game i might have actually finished the thing
his role honestly doesn't matter
his interviews were why i had zero interest in the game
>SO
> LET
>ME
> GET
>THIS
> STRAIGHT
Honestly the only thing that looked even remotely good about the game were spell effects. Its tragic how few games there are where it's about you being a fricking mage and throwing spells instead of having magic be a shallow combat option.
>>Gets to DIRECT a Main Title game
He was producer, director was the Last Remnant guy.
I mean instead of hoping in another miracle like xiv they should probably stop making dogshit games like avengers and forspoken or just release a bunch of AA games one after another with zero marketing
XVI was disappointing but square is also fricking moronic
>I don't get it. This man shouldn't have a job.
There are far worse at Square that should've lost their jobs.
Bad game or not, he's apparently only one with management capabilities that can maintain a deadline and not go over budget and over time.
That's a big deal with companies if you don't care about art.
Barry been looping alot lately with his recycled trash threads
