Till the next Zelda DLC? Yeah I know

It's arguably worse than a DLC because it took 6 years to make.
What a complete waste of time.

Grow the frick up. Hating Zelda or pretending doesn't make you cool online. I didn't come into Ganker for this bullshit.

Dead Rising 3 had a weapon fusion mechanic that you could craft on the spot and not just that, you could also fuse two vehicles together also on the spot and it really changed the car. Totk stole from nuts and bolts and dead rising

Yeah TOTK is a shitty sequel. so tedious.

another good example of a sequel that didn't need to get made and barely adds anything

Nah. The story's dogshit but it's hardly a DLC.

I just booted up a file on BotW and I swear to God Magnesis is way faster than Ultra Hand. Is this in my head? It feels like I'm whipping around when moving magnetized objects in a way that Ultra Hand just does not allow. All of the content in ToTK is more substantial but the actual process of playing it feels way worse. Fuse in particular drags the entire game down. Absolutely horrible idea to appease idiots who wanted to engage in combat more and hated weapon durability without even really fixing that problem for them.

I don't know about Magnesis but you're not wrong about Fusion, it adds an extra layer of tedium to the combat. And they barely touched the core combat (mostly the same enemies, same weapon movesets, same mechanics) so Fusion only has so much novelty.

Yeah, I never thought anything of the "I HAVE NOT INCENTIVE TO ATTACK ENEMY BASES" criticism for BotW. Enemy bases were like Korok seeds. You need to have them everywhere so players can restock weapons and have resources to sell no matter where they are in the game, and they don't need to make detours. I have absolutely no interest in needing to fight enemies to make my weapons usable. Why can I not fuse from the menu? Why do I need to fuse each individual arrow?

          Anonymous

having to fuse arrows individually was the dumbest fricking idea, at least they gave bows real attack power so they can be useful even if you don't frick with fusing arrows.
also imagine paying to play this game in 480 20fps when you can emulate it at 1440p 60fps on a mid-level rig for free. why the frick would anyone buy a fisher price tablet?

It's more like 3 different dlc combined together.

$20 depths dollars and dlc armour
    $20 craft and sky
$30 4 new dungeons and sage ability

    Here is your $70 dollars.

If this was DLC they wouldn't have removed the old dungeons.

Imagine if fromsoftware just released the same map, same enemies, same weapons and called it a new Elden Ring. Thats what Nintendo did. Not even dlc its botw 2023.

This would be like if eldin ring used the same map, changed the classes a bit, added a few more weapons and skills, added a few more enemies, new dungeons locations but added a mechanic where you can combine monsters as a summon then sold it for $70

      Sounds shit right?

I loved it and am still having fun, but it does feel very upsetting how similar it is to BotW, its just glorified DLC
Ocarina of Time to Majoras Mask was a proper same engine sequel and that was done within a year

I'm hoping the third game which will focus on the triforce will be something to actually look forward to

nah the triforce been forced into too many stories that is annoying, can we have a zelda that doesn't force Ganondorf or Zelda into the story? we had plenty of games without them

You don't do sidequests for any other reasons besides Kurok seeds...that's probably fun for the first 10, besides the next 200.

It is a kids game though.

But the same map. I'm happy just seeing what's over a hill, but in this case I already know what's on the side. I need more to enjoy the exploration, which is meant to be the main draw.

I beat this game like legit months ago and you're still talking about it. In that time, I've beaten:
    System shock remake
    Alien dark descent
    Vividlope
    Fight knight

And most recently installed returnable. Notice the major theme in the games I've beaten? They're all brand new, much newer than your smelly old game. Shut the frick up. That's all there is to it. Shut the frick up and go talk about newer games, that people who actually play games on this board want to talk about, not this bullshit finger waving where you pretend to like videogames but actually just shitpost all day for clout and likitocin. Like godanm, shutup.

2023 games I enjoyed more than TotK
    - Forspoken
    - Hogwarts Legacy
    - GoWR (this is from 2022 but I played it this year)
    - FFXVI

-Underground was cool conceptually in terms of lighting things up but there's nothing down there
-sky has a few things but they're basically a couple islands copy+pasted unless you count the paths to the "dungeons"
-Dungeons are still not up to snuff. Bit better this time with theming but overall they're just not enough.

People who didn't understand why BOTW was popular obviously won't understand why TOTK is popular

It's more of a big expansion. I'd say it was worth something like 45$.
I loved it but botw was far better when it came out than totk today. It just doesn't add much besides more content and story.
