it's certainly up there. anything involving shiny hunting and a gamecube is like pulling teeth, having a new set drilled in, and then pulling them + the screws out again

Yeah? With two Gen 4 games, you can shiny hunt it. As mentioned, it IS the worst, as you've to constantly reset games, trade it over and hatch the egg, re-trading it to a fresh file if it's not shiny. /shw/ a few christmases back had a dude GET his shiny Manaphy from doing just that.

If RNG is cheating then every pokemon is cheated, soft resets are RNG manipulation just a very slow one, but you are changing seeds with every SR until a desirable PID shows up.
