There’s a free thing called R6 Black Ops 2.0, some modders got together and packaged the originals together with direct connect multiplayer support, among other things.

Someone posted this up a couple weeks ago (maybe you), but I can only get it to run in super slow motion on my i5. I think I need a patch to get it to run properly just haven’t looked into it further. Pretty awesome tho!
If you have windows7, open the game folder, open the win7fix subfolder and copy the file from it into the main folder.

This sounds fun, is the multiplayer more laid back than the single player campaign? or even more planning-oriented?
In the PvP modes you just hop right into the map and coordinate with team mates on the fly
As for the Co-op, if you play the story mode missions, you might want to. But every single map in the game has a generic “kill all terrorists” or “rescue hostages” among other mission types, where the enemy and hostage placement is randomized, but you can still plan if you want.

Strange, because I'm running 10 and it worked immediately. Past releases however did not. So it's definitely something more specific to your machine and not the OS particularly.
If it works on Win7, it also works on Win10.

Don't know if i'm up for MP straight away, but thanks for sharing this. I've been meaning to try Rainbow Six for a while, and this looks like a perfect jumping in point.
Any beginner tips (will read the manual first, but beyond that?)
