if there were ever any good games I’d agree but alas let it die
>Le japan is horror
Yeano. Sorry but every time i see a hortor game based in japan i chuckle because it cannot be taken srsly
Cryptid survival horror game in a small town, final section you get obducted onto an alien mothership.
this is a horny game isn't it
nah, it's like Silent Hill set in a suburb at night and you play as a little girl
that's exactly what the other anon said but you used a lot more words
You think you're funny but you're not
You think you're a woman but you're not
This is the only thing you could come up with after almost 3 minutes? lmao
Also homosexual obsessed with trannies
Not that guy, I just think you're a gigantic homosexual
Fricking kekked and btfo, eat shit trannies.
Your jimmies sound rustled
>set in a suburb at night
How is that fricking scary at all? Literally every suburb has people walking their dogs at midnight because it's a suburb and there's inherently nothing to fear as there is no crime.
We need more ideas threads for horror games. They are the most piss easy type of slop that can help you set your foot on gamedev.
>WALKING
looks cool. Game name? If it's called Walk I will immediately ignore it because that's a bad name
VR is still niche, but I think it has the best potential for horror since horror relies on immersion and atmosphere. Even simple concepts that are kind of lame in horror now can be terrifying in VR.
video not related?
>Walk
Is this a Kojima game?
Stop bringing up your fetish in every thread.
Then tell the axe wound to stop taking his troon anger out on regular posters who are trying to discuss horror games
Chilla Arts already saved the horror genre
Meh, their games are hit and miss. Some are really awesome, and some are just dumb. I respect their output though, they seem to have a new game like every few months. I also like that Parasocial kind of tied a bunch of them together. They haven't saved the genre but they have made it better.
Wait for Bendy: The Cage to come out, its looking to be pretty sweet
>walk
>but in le dark
This game is actually really cool because it has a short segment in it with a Second Person POV which is almost never seen in games. It only takes like 30 minutes to beat and has a neat atmosphere, but it's mostly just a hide/seek simulator. I give it some respect for having that concept in it though. If nothing else you could probably find a short let's play somewhere.

I like the setting but it seems way too slow. And when you see the monster thing up close it just looks moronic.
>it's literally called "Walk"
Did you see the combat trailer for SH2R? It doesn't need saving.
>Walk
>Horror
Yup, American hours.
This thread sums up the difficulty and problems with Horror media nowadays, people are just so numbed down by everiday stuff you see on the internet that any attempt to make something scary ends up in.
>Looks unoriginal
>jumpscares eeew
>le japanese can't into horror anymore (apparently)
>lol le funny faces
>in my times i used to shit myself out of pure horror by a funny looking clown and a evil toy, no anabelle doesn't count
Horror media needs a rest, everything is so stale and any attempt at something new gets mocked right away or get called a copy of X thing that did it first.
Your post was already addressed. It's all good, it'll all work out.
I think you just have to admit that you're not going to scare everyone and do what you think is best.
The real issue is the suspension of belief and respect. You get people making fun of ghosts, vampires and serial killers because zoomies don't give those stories the chance to be respected. Then you have people being genuinely scared of stupid shit like haunted video games and backrooms because they give those subjects a chance despite being lame most of the time.
What you're really saying is that modern audiences are scared of different things than boomers which makes perfect sense
Like the xenomorph is so sexy that I forget I'm supposed to be scared but don't you dare throw me innawoods at 3am I'll shit myself the first sound I hear
That's just projection. People like you never give the genre a chance in the first place, never even attempting to immerse yourself. Then you go online to cry about how the world is ending.
It's hard for horror genre to thrive nowadays with how everything gets fully analyzed by the internet in mere minutes after something new comes out. P.T attempted to mantain its mystery but people already found out about it being Silent Hills within hours of the demo coming out.
That should not really have a meaningful effect on the player's immersion or enjoyment though. At best it's a flaw on the consumer's end, which is not something you can fix. It's just not made for those types of people to enjoy, so addressing that is a waste of time.
there's nothing scary about japanese suburbs.
Bendy and Poppy Playtime are scary and well made horror games. Bendy is a lot like Bioshock and Poppy is a puzzle game.
so japnese horror is cute little girl ghost and american horror is homie with a knife what's european horror like?
Gay guro rape more or less
Let’s do this.
>no you have to be "productive" and make manager mr. shekelstein 99% of his income instead!
homosexual, homosexual, Black person and a homosexual
>Sheklestein takes 60% of your profit
>Government takes another 20%
>wage inflation takes another 15%
>Why don't people want to work?
Y’all said make the game scary, i guess it worked based off your reaction.
Stop trying to recreate silent hill 2 and instead recreate classic RE.
Just put straight white men in your game. The horror.
I havent played a horror game in ages. Give me some with camera like this
@667215887
>scary
Zoomer pls go, no need to see cliched shit in these threads like irrational fears of the interviewing and hiring process or onboarding but evil
Give up. Analog horror has already done irreversible damage to the genre for the remainder of this century. Your game will simply not succeed if it isn't a AAAA RE gunslop clone or a low effort pixel vhs tailored for short-term streamer clips
It already was saved
You will see multiple games that will copy this formula and you will see trailers this year
I still have no idea what this game is all about. I’ve seen screenshots and it looks atrocious
Extraction Shooter but without the shooting
That's because it's forcedscary: the game.
You literally can not take this game seriously as horror with how much meme shit is in it
Bring back jumpscares. They were the heart and soul of horror games.
I'm making a horror game
> Let's save the horror genre
How can you save something that is undead?
>Made by the toree/super kiwi dev
What the frick
I like the art direction but I find the hide and seek horror style gameplay boring, it would be better if it was like onimusha
whats wrong with you?
i start to feel like im annoying when i repost a post or thread more than 5 times
