There aren't that many. You very unlikely to encounter any bugs. I only encountered one bug where I couldn't finish a quest, but that was several patches ago

Not very buggy to be honest, I'm occasionally getting some bugs with the spoken dialogue getting cut off mid sentence and they'll skip to the next line of dialogue, haven't seen any other bugs in a while. It's pretty fun and worth trying.
multiplayer has fricked dialogue options sometimes. probably other stuff. singleplayer seems to be fine but I never encountered many issues besides graphics.
I did one recently I had one driver crash to desktop. But my GPU has also less VRAM than recommended. No quest bugged. Some general jank with the camera, or enemy turn taking inexplicably long, animation skipping. Nothing major.
After 5 playthroughs over 275 hours, I only ran into one gamebreaking bug where a quest couldn't resolve because the guy refused to move to his next location. It wasn't a main quest so it didn't soft lock me or anything, but it was annoying. I've also fallen through an elevator more than once, but that hasn't happened in a while.
Usually related to movement or if you do something really creative.
I'm 49 hours in my main bugs have been characters moving to wrong place sometimes when shit is crowded sometimes I break quests with a spell called crown of madness which makes an npc attack others using it on the female druid leader causes all of them to mass suicide except her and 4 other NPCs.

If you're gonna do the hard honor mode fricking do not put everyone on a platform at once/send everyone in at once unless it's a boss fight this game has many cheap encounters if you don't know they're coming and platforms you can fall through you should play it on normal or tactician before jumping into the hardest difficulty.
Also frick poison magic and true strike do not take them if you want to be magic user I learned my lesson with ray of sickness thankfully it is easy to respect just talk to the skeleton who you'll eventually get in your camp. Many enemies aren't effected by poison and you get tons of poison to cover your weapons in for the ones that are. Oh also when you level up look out for the little button to multiclass the game makes in kind of obscured and it took me a bit to realize where it was that or you don't get the ability to for a few levels idk someone else will know more

Oh I forgot to mention cause I am on PC for this game but the console version has a save bug that can delete your save so if your a console only baby use the fricking cloud save feature this game takes alot of your time if you're not rushing it (you can speed run it in 20 min) but an average actually engaging with the game playthrough is 100 hours

I don't think it is shit in itself. There are plenty of great encounters. The problem I had that the game seemed to be building to a climax. Then it's time to downshift for a long time.
The army has attacked the south gates in Rivington with a small party. The army thing doesn't unfold like they make you expect expect, but why would Gortash want to sack the city he wants to rule. I guess for Orin that still fits.

I wouldn't call it ugly. Characters especially look better than anything Starfield has to offer. It certainly demands a bit too much from your setup when looking at the visual fidelity.
Look at the stats. This is obviously a +1 weapon since it has +6 to hit while the scimitar has +5. You can see the hit chance and damage spread below the weapons. >+6 to hit and 5~8 damage >+5 to hit and 4~9 damage
The dagget has a better chance to hit and higher mininal damage so the damage output is more consistant.

It's alright, it does tend to have the problem where being evil is like REALLY fricking evil and so it's annoying to play a bad character (especially with how judgemental your butthole party is), but it's more fun than not.
I REALLY fricking hated the Temple of Shar so I kind of like Act 3 more than I should because frick the Temple of Shar so goddamn much.
I beat it this last weekend and man, Act 3 as a whole just brought the game down hard, there were a few good quests here and there but overall the game stumbled pretty hard at the finish line, buggy as hell too, I had multiple times where thrown shit would just disappear from existence entirely

Larian is definitely AAA, and BG3 is definitely AAA budget. It punched so far above its weight because Larian is a competent studio that has been building itself the past 10 years for this kind of game. Also, most importantly; no shareholders.
Remember that Larian's biggest game before this was DIVOS2 with something like 7 million lifetime sales, who knows how many were on sale, and released a definitive edition for it for free (like with DOS). The divide between a studio with a SOUL and one without it couldn't be in more stark contrast when you compare BG3 to a gigantic studio like Bethesda, that moved more than 100 million copies across many games, owned by giant Zenimax/Microsoft, shitting out the abomination that was Turdfield. Larian has a history of embarrassing studios with bigger budgets in the past as well, as they did with DOS1 and 2 vs. Owlcat and Obsidian.

If there's one major complaint I have about the game, it's that the tadpoles really mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. Going full schizo-maxed and ingesting all of them just makes you stronger and the only reason not to do it is for RP reasons. All NPCs treat you the exact same, all your companions will treat you the same after one line about "Whoa, can't believe you did that" and it has no standing on your endgame choices.
I have tons of major complaints but that is one of the more insulting ones. The struggle of keeping one's humanity-- nevermind, I won't even bother, this game is just flaming fricking garbage.
I don't use them out of principle because I hate the character of the Emperor. An absolute c**t that you cant get away from till the last section of the game.

Im doing an evil durge run with full shar shart and i still have yet to run into any of this. I specifically romanced her to see how much weird shit i could get her to tell me about or do and its literally just vanilla shadowheart but with a "god i hope lady shar lets me keep you as a side b***h" line
Most people end up picking the same one or two faces per race because there's not many to choose from. This is made worse by the fact they felt the need to have minority representation, so the game looks like it has more face options than it really does. There's also a lot of stuff you'd think you'd be able to customize but can't, like Tiefling tails. Technically, the canon Tiefling tail isn't even in the game. Neither are a lot of Dragonborn frills and horns. I don't know if Larian knows this, but Dragonborn subraces are not just color, you can tell a red dragon from a blue dragon even if you're colorblind because their heads look different. I wish they didn't half-ass this aspect of the game, but I guess they figured most people aren't familiar with this stuff and wouldn't notice. If so, that's pretty sad.
There's a lot of player options not in the game and not all of them are understandable. I understand why mounts, swimming and certain kinds of divination spells aren't in the game, but why wouldn't they add a spell like Giant Insect? Is it too difficult to model a giant insect? Or how about Bigby's Hand? That's a famous spell and it's basically just a giant Mage Hand. I'm genuinely confused about this. I'm also disappointed that only imps and quasits made it in for Warlock familiars. They kept sprites and pseudodragons out. This saddens me because I was excited to see how they balanced the four together and was actually hopeful they'd add even more, like maybe gazers and crawling claws, but no, they went with the easiest route they thought they could get away with.
It also disappoints me there's only three subclasses for most classes, because it means you can't have a full party of one class where everyone's a different subclass unless you go Paladin, Cleric or Wizard. This is a pretty common meme dream, something like all Warlocks or all Monks or so on. Just 9 more subclasses and we could've had it, but I guess that was too much to ask for.

There aren't that many. You very unlikely to encounter any bugs. I only encountered one bug where I couldn't finish a quest, but that was several patches ago

I'm doing a new run right now, there's still some light bugs here and there, I still haven't made it to act 3 (the buggiest), but nothing too offensive. I played at launch and enjoyed the game alot even at its buggiest state. The worst bug I saw in act 3 broke a questline, it's almost definitely fixed now.

Not very buggy to be honest, I'm occasionally getting some bugs with the spoken dialogue getting cut off mid sentence and they'll skip to the next line of dialogue, haven't seen any other bugs in a while. It's pretty fun and worth trying.
multiplayer has fricked dialogue options sometimes. probably other stuff. singleplayer seems to be fine but I never encountered many issues besides graphics.
I did one recently I had one driver crash to desktop. But my GPU has also less VRAM than recommended. No quest bugged. Some general jank with the camera, or enemy turn taking inexplicably long, animation skipping. Nothing major.

After 5 playthroughs over 275 hours, I only ran into one gamebreaking bug where a quest couldn't resolve because the guy refused to move to his next location. It wasn't a main quest so it didn't soft lock me or anything, but it was annoying. I've also fallen through an elevator more than once, but that hasn't happened in a while.
i had a bug with orin's fight and i couldnt rescue the hostage, i had to redo the fight but no other issues other than that

I'm 49 hours in my main bugs have been characters moving to wrong place sometimes when shit is crowded sometimes I break quests with a spell called crown of madness which makes an npc attack others using it on the female druid leader causes all of them to mass suicide except her and 4 other NPCs.
You can get free stuff from every vendor by using a container or clicking on everything and dragging in the PC version
If you're gonna do the hard honor mode fricking do not put everyone on a platform at once/send everyone in at once unless it's a boss fight this game has many cheap encounters if you don't know they're coming and platforms you can fall through you should play it on normal or tactician before jumping into the hardest difficulty.
Also frick poison magic and true strike do not take them if you want to be magic user I learned my lesson with ray of sickness thankfully it is easy to respect just talk to the skeleton who you'll eventually get in your camp. Many enemies aren't effected by poison and you get tons of poison to cover your weapons in for the ones that are. Oh also when you level up look out for the little button to multiclass the game makes in kind of obscured and it took me a bit to realize where it was that or you don't get the ability to for a few levels idk someone else will know more
Oh I forgot to mention cause I am on PC for this game but the console version has a save bug that can delete your save so if your a console only baby use the fricking cloud save feature this game takes alot of your time if you're not rushing it (you can speed run it in 20 min) but an average actually engaging with the game playthrough is 100 hours

I think that's the dagger that does an extra 1d6 if it does damage to a full health target.
Look at the stats. This is obviously a +1 weapon since it has +6 to hit while the scimitar has +5. You can see the hit chance and damage spread below the weapons.

The dagget has a better chance to hit and higher mininal damage so the damage output is more consistant.

I beat it this last weekend and man, Act 3 as a whole just brought the game down hard, there were a few good quests here and there but overall the game stumbled pretty hard at the finish line, buggy as hell too, I had multiple times where thrown shit would just disappear from existence entirely
Yeah, act 3 is just wrapping up side quests and then finally initiating the final battle. the bad guys just wait in their dungeon the whole time.

Larian is definitely AAA, and BG3 is definitely AAA budget. It punched so far above its weight because Larian is a competent studio that has been building itself the past 10 years for this kind of game. Also, most importantly; no shareholders.
Remember that Larian's biggest game before this was DIVOS2 with something like 7 million lifetime sales, who knows how many were on sale, and released a definitive edition for it for free (like with DOS). The divide between a studio with a SOUL and one without it couldn't be in more stark contrast when you compare BG3 to a gigantic studio like Bethesda, that moved more than 100 million copies across many games, owned by giant Zenimax/Microsoft, shitting out the abomination that was Turdfield. Larian has a history of embarrassing studios with bigger budgets in the past as well, as they did with DOS1 and 2 vs. Owlcat and Obsidian.

There are alot of broken strategies that can be really overpowered and fast.
If you include blowing up at the end of Act 2 you might be able to do it in eight hours.
Most people finish it in north of 70 hours if they play casually

If there's one major complaint I have about the game, it's that the tadpoles really mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. Going full schizo-maxed and ingesting all of them just makes you stronger and the only reason not to do it is for RP reasons. All NPCs treat you the exact same, all your companions will treat you the same after one line about "Whoa, can't believe you did that" and it has no standing on your endgame choices.
I have tons of major complaints but that is one of the more insulting ones. The struggle of keeping one's humanity-- nevermind, I won't even bother, this game is just flaming fricking garbage.

Most people end up picking the same one or two faces per race because there's not many to choose from. This is made worse by the fact they felt the need to have minority representation, so the game looks like it has more face options than it really does. There's also a lot of stuff you'd think you'd be able to customize but can't, like Tiefling tails. Technically, the canon Tiefling tail isn't even in the game. Neither are a lot of Dragonborn frills and horns. I don't know if Larian knows this, but Dragonborn subraces are not just color, you can tell a red dragon from a blue dragon even if you're colorblind because their heads look different. I wish they didn't half-ass this aspect of the game, but I guess they figured most people aren't familiar with this stuff and wouldn't notice. If so, that's pretty sad.
There's a lot of player options not in the game and not all of them are understandable. I understand why mounts, swimming and certain kinds of divination spells aren't in the game, but why wouldn't they add a spell like Giant Insect? Is it too difficult to model a giant insect? Or how about Bigby's Hand? That's a famous spell and it's basically just a giant Mage Hand. I'm genuinely confused about this. I'm also disappointed that only imps and quasits made it in for Warlock familiars. They kept sprites and pseudodragons out. This saddens me because I was excited to see how they balanced the four together and was actually hopeful they'd add even more, like maybe gazers and crawling claws, but no, they went with the easiest route they thought they could get away with.
It also disappoints me there's only three subclasses for most classes, because it means you can't have a full party of one class where everyone's a different subclass unless you go Paladin, Cleric or Wizard. This is a pretty common meme dream, something like all Warlocks or all Monks or so on. Just 9 more subclasses and we could've had it, but I guess that was too much to ask for.
