No thanks, homosexualron.
Sure. Just FFXIV nowadays since its chill to grab the lads and farm something. There's nothing really to look foward to in the horizon since everything is either pozzed garbage, pozzed koreanMMO garbage via amazon, or garbage from people who are still chasing the classic WOW high.
God I miss PSO2 and sega being good
i was thinking about this earlier, pso2 i still came back to every now and then for some fun gameplay, but NGS truly killed it
grinding out pso2 ngs, miss original pso2 but that shit was killed before it even got off the ground in the west, they should have slowed the content feed a bit and made NGS over like 3-4 years to be just PSO3.
Gonna give up on it after the premium expires then play Bullet Girls Phantasia, same shit really.
>I miss PSO2 and sega being good
They stopped being good during the Dreamcast era though and PS4 was their last masterpiece PS game.
I played city of heroes until the community became too much for me and I was having to resist daily urges to tell someone to shove themselves into a wood chipper feet first about three months ago.
No other MMO because the genre is largely dead. Your choices are like SWTOR, WOW, and FF. If you don't like those then frick off.
>SWTOR
there's no way anyone still plays that shit, even GW2 gets mentioned more often
Bout 7k online with the steam version. Twice GW2's current numbers.
Doesn't GW2 have its standalone launcher?
GW2 has its own separate launcher, Steam numbers aren't a reliable indicator just like with FFXIV where the vast majority of players are not playing on Steam
You can't link GW2 with Steam, so anyone playing on Steam is literally just the F2P newbies.
Anyone that played it before whenever it launched on Steam can't really play on Steam because they'd have to start over.
My wife logs on to this game every couple of months and plays for about a week or 2. Recently they released new content and her and some friends played it for about a month or 2.
it's the closest we got to KOTOR 3, honestly isn't as bad as people make it out to be if played as a singleplayer game
God when will these dorks stop doing the "i'm le smart wearing a poorly fitted suit" gimmick
Gaben lookin good
guy in the pic is actually a german youtuber who reviews expensive alcohol and cigars while also being a philosophical genius discussing books.
pretty comfy
channel name: Daniel Beuthner
I'm playing 14 but I just downloaded Lotro since I wanted to give it a try for a while now.
I'm playing HorizonXI right now in between FFXIV patches
the whole situation with horizonXI has soured me on private servers so much that I went to retail XI. It's surprisingly still decent even if a little lonely
quick rundown?
Basically the classic tale of people in staff being egotistical bastards that caused fallout on another FFXI server (eden) and ran away with some code to open horizons. Now eden went full open source so everyone can benefit but since horizon added a bunch of shit for convenience and ""rebalanced"" the game eden is pretty dead. So if you ever want a server that's era accurate your options are kind of gone, not that eden was super accurate either since they had ilvl synch enabled. That and since horizon is full of drama bad actors they're naturally pozzed to shit
I played a bit of WoW classic era with my friend and it made me remember just how much I hate this fricking game.
I'm looking forward to Archage 2 because the gameplay looks leagues beyond any MMO I've ever seen, it might be Korean p2w bullshit but it should at least provide me with a month of entertainment.
Opinions on Pax Dei or whatever the Riot MMO is or is it too soon?
Isn't there 0 news about that except that it's a riot MMO? I have 0 hopes for it
I want to say pax dei seems cool but they've shown basically nothing of substance so
Anyone looking forward to blue protocol?
I would but
>amazon games
>already censored to a moronic degree (skirts are too sexual)
the handholding thing was really cute though. I like it when games let PCs interact more
BP looks cool but I'm upset by the fact that it doesn't have any sort of PvP, seems like a wasted opportunity.
MMO pvp is hot garbage so no big deal there
Usually yes but it's different for action-MMOs,
PSO2s pvp was absolutely not different
>Pso2
>tera
>neverwinter
>gw2
Yeah I'm gonna stick to "MMO pvp is hot garbage"
Newer action MMOs are a bit different in that they function more like regular action games and thus the PvP has the potential to be great. It's all about how the devs handle the gameplay itself, I suspect you people don't give a shit about pvp in general though.
I just want a game with Tera's combat system again, published by people who actually play the game.
>Amazon
>censorship
>tiny maps
>garbage player limits
It could have been so good.
The tiny amount of footage shown of the combat for Pax Dei looked like shit.
The Riot MMO is bleeding staff for some reason, might be a bad sign. Ghostcrawler left and I suspect it's because the game is turning into a carbon copy of WoW and he wants no part in it.
The only good thing that might come from it is more Yordle porn, and that's about it.
A lot of the lead devs quit, so I unno.
All MMO players: A reminder.
Rope now and save the world some grief.
what's your beef with MMOs?
not him but WoW ruined MMOs and made them into pussy boring story heavy shit, any post WoW MMO is just as bad or worse than WoW. FFXIV was decent for a bit but they shit the bed with that hard, doesn't help the community is absolute cancer
> WoW ruined MMOs and made them into pussy boring story heavy shit
wow is anything but story heavy. probably like 90% of the people playing it have absolutely no fricking idea what's even happening in the current expansion (the content they are literally doing every day of every week for hours)
They are inherently shit. The players are failed normies who are too insecure to admit they just want a chat room. They squat on IP's and waste dev time that could have gone towards significant works.
The players being insecure makes it so that they must vaunt their slop as if it is sacred. Lies become delusions. The delusional always seek to spread their delusions, especially via the internet (risk-free.) So on it goes. Anywhere you talk about games, some moronic MMO-homosexual will show up with no ability to judge whatsoever. They are completely senseless. Artless. Worthless.
It is the equivalent of hip hop in regards to music.
The only (potential) value is if one day, someone acquires the list of all MMO players and...
But there are many lists like this. MMO players are simply one of the worst.
>MMO players could be here
Take your meds
You are an MMO player. Rope. You know as well as I do how worthless you are.
i harass a married woman on an mmo its quite fun
>doesn't get pulled into non-sensical drama
>just has fun working on personal projects
Noooo how does he do it bros its not fair!
He attacks games and not people. Actually a decent guy off-camera.
>manchild toys
>cringe cup
>weird gay vest
>gamer chair
>e-personality
you're literally on the manchild toys forum anon
yeah but at least my room isn't full of literal toys
Ragnarok Origin on my phone
Wow servers
Epoch server, and Dofus unity in 2030
After playing space station 13 every other multiplayer "RPG" became dogshit in my eyes. Sometimes I play Gmod DarkRP for the novelty of roleplaying in voice chat.
The learning curve is hard to get into for ss13. That's the point obviously, to have a filter for morons like me. But god damn do I still have fun being a useless canon fodder moron.
I only played antagonist once and the only thing I could think of was to order a shotgun and some grenades and go postal school shooter on sec. Didn't get very far and didn't even kill anyone before they knocked me out and took me to the brig and tortured me while we spouted BANE memes.
really need more games styled after UO that function more like general fantasy life simulations rather than slaughter fests from level 1 to max where you then proceed to kill the exact same enemies ad nauseam for a chance at an item that lets you kill the same things faster. in UO it is perfectly viable to make 100% pacifist characters that still provide necessary goods and services to other characters
You can thank WoW for the fact that we will never get this.
I haven't played an mmo in so long.
The last one I've had genuine fun with was Dungeons and Dragons Online.
Also, love Josh's content.
DDO fricks.
Most gays get one-shot by bosses, DDO chads get one-shot by entry-level traps.
Just the fact that the game has actual traps and dungeons.
Frick, I'm pretty sure Gary Gigax himself narrated a couple of quests even.
I really like it.
>>what are you currently playing?
Nothing
>>what do you usually play?
Nothing
>>are you looking forward to any new games?
Nothing
>all these progressive reddit cucks that like josh in this thread
MMO really is the genre for the moronic.
Playing WOTLK classic for the first time with a friend who's played WOW for a long time. Just questing and hitting dungeons every few days. Pretty chill.
I have never and will never take anyone's opinion seriously if they own even a single Funko pop, let alone several as a background for videos
I really really need a new MMO. After
>wow
>eve
>gw1/2
>XIV
I really don't know where to go. It's been worse and worse every time, with EVE probably being the best experience out of the lot.
I especially hate the current mmo trend of instanced content with a solo story mode like gw2 and xiv, those games don't even feel like mmos.
show me ONE time where he isn't dressed like hes going to a wedding
>show me ONE time where he isn't dressed like hes going to a wedding
I vaguely remember him putting on cosplay in a video.
World of warcraft, normally I wouldn't but my health has dramatically declined so much that I need to have something mindless and time consuming to help me cope with what I perceive to be my ever approaching death. Doctors can't find anything but I digress. What a terrible expansion, every almost couple is "in your face" gay, the writing is so pussified now that they even turned nesingwary into a hippie. All the characters sound and act the same, all the strong characters or leaders are overwhelmingly women and all the bad guys or people with flaws are masculine men. It's like only one person has been writing all video games for the past 10 or so years and I'm starting to burn out considerably. Thought about checking lotro out but apparently they've succumbed to esg funding schemes and now have bearded black dwarven women now or something. Wish I could stand ffxiv but I couldn't make it beyond the mid point of the first expansion before burning out on endless cut scenes where your character constantly nods at everyone. I miss dark age of camelot or more specifically when these games didn't attempt to tell a linear story outside of some text here or there.
i just started swtor and being sith is very fun for me. usually my autism prevents me from not doing the goody good route, and aside from that i enjoy the story so far. i'm planning to do warrior, inquisitor, agent, bounty hunter stories.
destiny 2 has also been fun but i've hit a bit of a wall there for progress until i buy an expansion. crazy how there is an mmo with just fun gameplay, i don't really play them as mmo's though, destiny is basically halo for me, and swtor is an rpg. same was true with ffxiv. though i was closest to actually making friends in that and chatting with people just because of how fc's work.
Pragmatic, mostly Light side Sith Warrior run is so almost-good that it spoils every other class unfortunately. First act of Agent comes close to striking the same balance but goes in a frustrating direction after that.
I went back to BDO for a bit, played season with one of the new classes.
Every time I play it again I realize just how fricking moronic korean developers are. I don't understand how you can have a game where combat is really fun and everyone universally praises it, and then instead of leaning on that like a normal person you try your hardest to interfere and make everything around combat incredibly tedious so people pay you a few dozen shekels every time they make a new character. It's just so fricking stupid and self-defeating, no wonder the game is dead.
Monetization in MMOs is inevitable at this point and that's fine I guess, but you can't have it DIRECTLY interfere with your main gameplay loop like this. Every time I look at my weight limit or one of my weapons breaks I just lose all desire to continue playing the game (or spending money on it).
Embers Adrift. It is slow and low pop, but I like having to party to accomplish things
I was thinking I should try getting back into BDO or Mortal Online 2.
You guys know any better choices for actual non-themepark, "hardcore"/not for pussy crybabies-type games?
classic wow I guess
I'll probably sub to wow when they implement hardcore in vanilla servers
Remember: Rope is free. You might even spawn into an MMO purgatory.
I've been playing Albion Online for like four years now. The game is doing better than ever. One of the few MMOs that are improving with the years instead of going downhill.
I also play Foxhole. It's a similar experience but without the MMORPG systems and character progression.
Looking forward to the Riot MMO if that still exists and Corepunk.
