After a successfull polination it turns into a Skeed berry that can be used exactly like a dong, it even shoots a mixture of seeds and spores when its fully ripe for "'harvesting'"
In the main aspects, it's a horrible game that was only saved by the details being implemented in a fantastic way, such as following pokemon, ride pokemon and overworld shinies.
Every mainline pokemon game is "good", but not all of them are great.
If they didn't reduce the focus on trainer battles for xp, kept wild battles and just made the catching minigame activate only when you wanted to start throwing pokeballs, then it would be the best Pokemon game of the last three generations.
It's such a fricking good reimagining of gen 1 in so many ways but the GO influence just kneecaps it.
It looks great and i would love another Pokemon game on the same engine (without the Go catching mechanics obviously) but it has nothing else going for it. Worst remake they ever made, even worst than BD/SP, i couldn't beat it because i was bored everytime i tried to play it, the atmosphere is garbage because of these soulless "remixed" tracks, no reason to play it over FR/LG or the originals.
I don't get why people want traditional wild battles. They suck ass. They're a gigantic waste of time. This game was extremely streamlined and was pleasant to play, which is a way higher standard than most new Pokemon games. It was good. If you care about the difficulty in Pokemon games that unironically means you're bad at the games for thinking there's any realistic difference
This shit isn't EO or SMT where the wild battles can kill you / drain your resources. The wild battles serve no purpose other than as a vehicle to catch Pokemon.
At its core, this series is about creating a cohesive team to battle with. When you're battling a singular Pokemon, your team isn't utilized in any meaningful way. This was a major reason why Arceus was ass. If you can name literally a single reason spamming run or going through the tedious work of weakening a Pokemon adds anything to the experience, I'll be impressed.

I still haven't beaten it either. I just dropped it as it offers nothing new, further casualization, the godawful catching mechanics, etc
