Yi Sang's character is also based on the person himself, which is a lot of information to ingest across a lot of sources just to pick up on the more obvious references. And then there's extended research to understand Gubo and Rim, which actually few people would have done prior.

People that don't skip thread luxes every day for efficiency are actually insane, especially when they end up having to do additional thread luxes without the daily bonuses for the extra thread they would have gotten from skipping, causing them to be less efficient than just skipping every day. 3 skips daily is 36 daily thread which is more than enough to keep up to date with uptying

It's both, and bait. Sadly, the only type of feedback that gains any traction on this godforsaken hell-hole anymore is contrarianism and bait.
Been a part of PM threads since 2020 or so, even managed to catch up with Ruina EA. My reason for changing my mind about Ruina is the director being unable to contain the sprawl of the setting, autistically overexplaining every single little detail of every district while telling a never-ending story in a gacha format with no end in sight. LobCorp works as a fully self-contained story, while Ruina blueballs you at the ending. It leads you down the rest of the franchise, which for now is just a shitty gacha, as the director is seemingly unable to control its direction and growth. I might change my tune once LC2/ARPG is released, but for now I think not going past LC is the best option.
LoR itself is a downgrade both in terms of its story and gameplay (unless you're into deckbuilders, which your average anon isn't). LC is a 9+/10 game that leaves you satisfied, LoR is like 6/10 at best that leads you down the gacha path as its ending feels woefully incomplete.
The best option right now is to play LC, skip everything else, and come back to the series once some other actually good games are released.
I am fully serious, I'm afraid. For better or for worse.

Since LC's lore wasn't explained in depth, the setting felt mysterious and whimsical, esoteric. LoR's extreme and in depth world building removed that feeling.
It's not a bad thing at all but if you preferred the previous story telling, well, it's gone.
The way I see it, as long as we get a closer or more of a look at the universe things are going to have to be expanded upon eventually.
That's the point of mysteries isn't it, and I would prefer all of the random one off mentions of shit from LC actually come back and mean something rather than never being expanded upon.

There's nothing about the world outside, and you don't need to know anything about the world outside; you're the guy running a Korean SCP facility and that's all you need to know. Ahab was really good at making Starbuck and Heathcliff max out sanity. If we do get an Ahab ID, I imagine that will be part of her kit. Furthermore, full Pequod team seems to feed Ismael's Blind Obsession quite well, which (as long as Ahab is FAST) means full team dmg+ and Pierce power up which will help them win clashes, the Poise count feeds into the Pequod's skills quite well. Now because they'd all be Pequod faction, Little Brother Meursault would ensure that one of them is always healing a good amount of sanity each turn. Pirate Gregor would also be a good choice for this team comp since he benefits from the poise and bleed that the team shits out, then you just need a decent gloom generator.

Queequeeg Heathcliff being a tank I somehow didn't think about but it makes sense. He seems like he's going to be more of an offensive tank like Zwei Gregor, but hopefully he'll be able to generate enough Defense Level Up to stay sufficiently healthy since that's his only way of mitigating damage outside of winning clashes directly and he can't heal like Kong Lu.
His two envy skills making 3/6ths his kit envy will already give him an automatic place on every envy team, not to mention being all pierce means he works with Hexnail, the sole envy resonance stratgey EGO we have.
I can actually see him beating out rabbit for a spot on envy teams, buts thats eventually not right now.
Hoping Ahabish if we do get her is also an envygay so heath can make better use of her passive.
Envy teams are already pretty good, Queeheath will probably make them worth considering. Only real issue is how much other broken shit you're missing (R Heath, W Don, W Ryo)
Envy teams can still use W Ryo, but you're right, they need a really good debuffer like how metaslop has 4 fragile from quick suppression, and some form of burst damage.
I'd also like to see a 000 buffer like Middle Meur, a source of gloom for chains of others, fluid sack, and some bleed EGO since envy seems to be leading into bleed.
Actually looking at the sin lineup, gloom is the only resource the envy team is missing that they'd need to fuel Blind Obessesion, so something like a charge poise ryoshu and ish to make use of those egos aren't off the table.
Just for spitballing, a ego suit for hex nail that inflicts curse and defense power down would be cool.

If the captain Ahab ID is going to happen that might be this one. A lot of IDs this season is pretty flexible in terms composition. Excluding the Middle. But this one makes sense.

It costs 6 envy, so at most you're bringing it out turn 2 if your entire team can resonate on turn 1, not impossible when counting envy defensive skills, but you'd prefer to be attacking due to defensive skills not being strong enough.
Not to mention hexnail only applies 1 envy fragility alongside it's 3 pierce fragility, which is nowhere near competing with rabbit.
Not to mention it needs heads it, a 75% chance when at 45 sanity, to land curse and nails, which it only inflicts 3 of each.
So you'll be wanting to overclock hexnail, costing even more envy which the team can't afford to waste.
Actually saying it out loud they need somebody who was envy specific resource amp on their kit to make good use of hexnail.
Not to mention the other envy egos which don't debuff well and are just charge or bind based damage sticks.
You don't need to be hexnailing as quickly as possible, or every turn. I used it extensively for both RR1 and 2 and it's just the huge setup move you use when you reach the "kill it NOW" turn. Admittedly I do agree that the full envy sink is a negative aspect, but you're likely going to be drowning on it on a Queeheath team anyways.
Also, if Queeheath S3 is the nuke skill in the team, Awakening Hexnail is still 4 fragile, plus it stacks with Gaze.
You don't need to do it as fast as possible, but queeg heath needs to be able to compete with rabbit, at the very least on a full envy team.
And while hexnail + Gaze is good, N faust wants to be on a lust resonance team, although she can be used on an envy.
But I see what your saying, I think the biggest thing the team will need is good defensive skills in order to proc envy a-resonance easier.
Defensive skills are an inherit minus in the current system so they kind of need above curve effects anyways.

Lobotomy and Ruina are mostly self contained to their own facilities in the world, while Limbus explores the whole thing and references both, but Limbus can be played right away if you want, specially to be caught up and not miss events and shit, then play the other 2 on the side. All you will really miss is some basedjak pointing moments.

Anyway, you start with Lobotomy Corp, job to day 24, keep trying, burn out, and give up and watch the story cutscenes. Then you play ruina, beat it cause turn based combat is way easier to manage then 1 hour days, then read Distortion Detective, Wonderlab, and Leviathen. Then you play Limbus Company, drop it when you realize it's a gacha, pick it up when you learn that there's literally no reason to roll in the sense that you can just grind literally every single character in the game at a fairly reasonable pace, then drop it again when you realize you don't want to grind for characters. Then you follow the story through youtube cutscenes and these threads, do your required reading, and wait for Lobotomy 2: Straight outta the City.

The biggest issue I see with Pequod is getting enough bleed count without it all going away on clashes. Heath needs high potency to get high count but bleed is easy to empty out just via endless clashing.
You can go from 0 to 99 bleed on 1 turn with the new ids
You still got R Meursault and KK Ryoshu for bleed count at least. With all the new bleed count and potency sources we're getting, you might actually be able to get TT Hong u4 bonuses to proc
