Lies always get you better rewards, make more sense in the story and are required for the true ending. I told the truth on stuff I thought was important, but the npcs just brushed off that info. The game was designed with lying always being optimal.
>MC doesn't even resemble a puppet at any point despite making becoming human a thing in the game >Still have the audacity to reference his nose getting longer
Honestly this is fricking weak shit. I get that no one wanted to play as a dude with a long nose or but they could've at least conveyed the inhumanity a little better
They're not as bad as the DS2 DLC gankfight that people bring up, but they are a far cry from the finely tuned Bloodborne 3v1 with the ringwraith homies.
You realize they're not making totally-not-porn in place of porn, right?
Also prostitution is way more rampant there as a result. Granted, prostitution has no social stigma in east asia compared to the west because eastern religions never saw a problem with fricking prostitutes, but at the same time the amount that happens there would make your head spin. It's part of the reason everyone cheats there, you can get sex whenever you want and it's dirt-cheap, it's impossible to be a virgin there.
Lore questions
Why did G start the Puppet Frenzy? How did that help him?
Was Romeo a human G turned into a puppet? If so why?
How did Carlos die?
Did Carlos and Sophia know each other?
Who was the Legendary Stalker?
Why was Sophia important for Simon's plan?
Who was Camille? One note says she was the first puppet to awaken, another hints she was G's wife.
Why does P give Sophia's puppet body bigger boobs?
>Why did G start the Puppet Frenzy? How did that help him?
He needed to release mass amounts of Ergo into the atmosphere to ultimately be absorbed by P's heart, giving it the power needed to recreate his dead son. He worked with Simon in order to consolidate it all in one place at the end, then betrayed him by using his attack dog (you).
>Was Romeo a human G turned into a puppet? If so why?
Romeo (also known as Lampwick, or Candlewick in the original story) was his buddy. Still not entirely clear on when he was turned into a puppet though.
>How did Carlos die?
Tried to become a stalker but got in over his head and got himself killed.
>Did Carlos and Sophia know each other?
I don't think so.
>Who was the Legendary Stalker? Lady Antonia
>Why was Sophia important for Simon's plan?
Ultimately he was simply infatuated with her, and he also wanted her time powers (which she instead used to help revive you again and again until you could win).
>Who was Camille? One note says she was the first puppet to awaken, another hints she was G's wife.
She was G's wife and C's mother.
>Why does P give Sophia's puppet body bigger boobs?
Simon's just a freak like that, he probably had the body made because he always intended to transfer her into it at some point.
And after replaying a lot I think that the Red Fox and her brother were on G payroll from the start, they are always there to help Carlos in someway and in the end they don't even want to fight, at the end they probably ended rich as frick after getting money from Manus, G and Venigni.
How does the Arm of God fit into this? If I remember right, the notes kinda said that some kind of "god" or being from beyond the stars landed on earth and got torn to pieces. The arm still remains and is (?) the arm on Manus when it tries to "phone home".
That's still one of the bigger mysteries, the "metal comet", "one-winged angel", and "ripped-art god" all seem to be related in some way (either the same thing, or maybe the angel/god came to Earth in a "metal comet" [space ship?]). I hope the DLC gives some more answers about it.
Wait... With the ending twist, maybe the space ship is just some other fairytale? I don't remember any old fairytale about space monsters, maybe someone else does
The Willy Wonka aka Charlie and the Chocolate Factory books actually had aliens and they go into space after riding the flying elevator.
Honestly I think that could be a decent choice after Wizard of Oz.
Is there any other hint Antonia is the legendary stalker other than the hat? My impression was that Carlo died not that long ago, so Antonia couldn't be that young.

I doubt that, it does seem like they're just mercs for hire. Cat got blind is what made things complicated for them, and why they started going after the gold coin fruit. But only P has access to them, not Simon or Geppeto.
>>Who was Camille? One note says she was the first puppet to awaken, another hints she was G's wife. >She was G's wife and C's mother.
So that either means that:
1. A maid puppet just so happened to be named Camille and looked similar to her.
2. Geppeto made a maid puppet who looked similar to his deceased wife, possibly his first attempt to revive someone with puppetry.
3. Geppeto married and impregnated a maid puppet.
I'm not sure if it's hard confirmed, but given he's essentially the father of puppetry and is the only one that would conceivably have access to her corpse, it doesn't feel like that much of a stretch to assume.

The hat is the biggest clue, but I think Carlos died quite awhile ago. Geppetto and Antonia seem similar in age, she just feels older because the Petrification disease has sapped her vitality and mobility. There's also the fact that Geppetto has clearly been orchestrating his plan for quite some time, which seems like it would have been difficult to accomplish in the span of only a few years.
It's all just conjecture really, while the main plot is pretty clearly told there is a lot of blind spots for interpreting past events.

The part I find weird is that she was just being some random maid puppet when she woke up. Would he give up his handmade wife puppet to be someone else's maid?

The devs said they had to cut some lore stuff for "pacing issues" but will likely feature in the DLC.
I honestly just expect Sophia to be the legendary stalker, mostly cause that's what happened to Lady Maria and the Doll.

Saintess of Mercy Statue Gallery Key Description says Camille was a genius Engineer that made the respec statue as part of the Alchemist.
Then there is the collectible "It was God's miracle that Camille was made into a maid puppet,
Despite being in the early phase when the design was rudimentary, Camille caught and saved a baby who fell from a crib.
Such function was nowhere to be found in the design. Her appearance and identity in living years were similar, so it was probably easier for her to manifest an ego.
After hurriedly collecting Camille to launch an investigation, the order found out that she understands language and got a message.
"Send. Me. Back. To. My. Child."
By interrogating and taking Camille apart, the order had opened the door to a new possibility."
Lastly, the statue in front of the opera house in pic relat
P is alive. You return to the hotel after the ending to find everyone talking about everything being over and a letter from Sofia thanking you as well as a note from the alchemist guy
I don't know why people are upset about the nerfs, this should only bother you if you haven't beaten that boss yet. But if you have beaten them, why be mad, now you can lord it over newbies forever that you beat the REAL gigchad-mode fight and they didn't, and nothing they do can ever change that.
>now you can lord it over newbies forever that you beat the REAL gigchad-mode fight and they didn't
i'm not on the spectrum, so i don't give a shit what version you beat.
if you don't beat it permadeath lvl 1 no upgrades etc, you aren't even allowed to brag anyways.
I feel nothing, who makes a game and if it's a ripoff or not is of no consequence to me as long as the product ends up being good. Which it is, LoP is an excellent game.
if they can add secrets to the world, invasions and maybe messages (yes they are fun), more interesting side quests and cool spells in their next game, they will most likely land a huge hit
>finished before patch >Play time at 50 hours from banging my head into bosses over and over >Used summons >Abused Aegis parry bug on Fatassia phase 2
I didn't really beat the game tbqh
qrd on ng+? your typical affair with ng+ in fromshit? just wondering whether i should start it without stocking up on upgrade materials and whatever pretty keen on starting ng+ but i dont have many weapons upgraded
I actually love the length of the final chapter. It feels like a final chapter should, a massive uphill battle against all odds that tests everything you've learned throughout the game. Nothing is held back, enemy variety is high, everything is a threat, and you feel like you've won a major victory when all is said and done.
Just beat NG+. I struggled more with Manus and Nameless Puppet this time around. Nothing too bad, still liked both fights. I still think I never learned the timing for the last boss's arms-crossed sword-stance fury attack into a charge. I just got hit every single time in both playthrough.
The same guy is found before the Black Rabbits, in that area with the two shitflingers on the roofs. I died to that guy so many times for some reason. I just cant read his attack and get hit by the fury-attack every time.
Naw, just finished my NG+ as well and didn't see the patch. Doesn't even matter to me the slightest, I kinda wanted to see the lower equip burden from talismans so I could try different shit.
Also, where the frick were the Lada +1 liner? I couldn't find it in the shop, did I just miss the Venigni box that unlocks them?
I just followed this guide for all collectable
https://www.powerpyx.com/lies-of-p-wiki-strategy-guide/
I believe all the liners were sold at the hotel by upgrading the puppets inventory.
I don't think any could be missed
Yeah, I got the normal Lada Liners, but didn't get the +1. I was not sure if they were just not in the shop in NG+ or if I just missed the item. If you got them in your ng+, then I just missed it
It is kind of a dumb ass mistake to make. But I feel like they got a random gaijin who told them "sure I can speak english" to translate half of the game. Feels like there was 0 effort put into making sure that things actually sound good or have functional names
>spend like 30 minutes trying to break Laxative's weapon, surely it'll make phase 2 easier >lolno it just instantly causes transition to phase 2
If you don't get any benefit from it then why the frick make it so hard to do?
It unironically takes near a 100 parries to break her weapon and I have literally every parry improvement upgrade, it is infinitely easier, faster and safer to just beat her normally.
Honestly I'm burned out from watching casual streamers struggle for actual multiple streams on early game bosses, while ignoring advice from chat to just spam throwables.
This. I replayed ER recently and completely wiped the floor with Radahn, and all I could think the whole time was >I don't remember it being this easy...
Everything else aside, Simon Manus form 2 was hilariously hard to actually stagger before this patch. In both NG and NG+ I got exactly one stagger out of him the whole fight.
He took me probably 40 tries on NG+. Phase 1 was fine, but damn I hated his combos in phase 2.
So many times he'd summon his three lightning bolts and do a massive lunge, just to bait me into rolling into a bolt and getting zapped before his follow up slash. He also had the worst timing with his shockwave blast and always seemed to know when to use it when I'd not have control of my character.
I could very rarely get a stagger on him because he loved to spam projectiles, even up close and I was always playing defensively.
I don't know why people have difficulty with these 4. >Summon a specter >Immediately focus on the brother with the pole and defeat him quickly >Then take out the other younger brother >Make sure specter is healed and do as much damage to the sister before the elder brother spawns. >finish off sister if you havent already and then let specter gain the attention of the elder bro >Spam projectiles and win instantly.
I'm not disagreeing, but the specter makes an already easy fight even easier. People that struggle on these enemies are gatekeeping themselves by not utilizing the tools the game offers them
is it me or is sister the fastest of the bunch? she was hell to deal with with big bro around
I'm not sure when big bro spawns exactly, is it when only one is left or when the last one hits a certain hp threshold?
the smartest thing would probably be to whittle down all 3 to 1 hp left before killing 2, then quickly dealing with the third so it's a fair 1v1 with big bro
Yes she's the fastest, that should be obvious since she's the "speedy dex type". He spawns once there's one left. You rush down one of them so it's 2v1 then focus on the remaining two evenly. You want to finish off the last two at about the same time so it's 1v1 against big bro.
Ghetto spear is way better. Has the same base crit rate. Its twice as fast, has a crit boost AND atk boost fable you can use at once. Has insane DPS. And all attacks are pokes and not shitty slash attacks like the tridents r1. Its also lighter
>yesterday >seething hard at king of puppets >today hear a nerf patch is out >tfw its not on xbox yet >say whatever ill try to kill this homosexual anyway >... >just killed him >no specter >pre patch >3 FLASKS LEFT
Ok so now what's the prize for this endeavor? Am i allowed to join your secret autism club?
I hope Lord of the Fallen is as good as Lies of P but I highly doubt it. This is like Miyazakis A Team decided to make a new Souls game under his nose. What a fricking gem.
I like the style of Lords of the Fallen, but the footage I've seen doesn't leave me feeling hopeful. It's very 'slidey' and I don't think they learned enough lessons from looking at the original game's failures (I know it's different devs, but the first one was a gold standard for how NOT to make a Soulslike).
Why does the dopamine rush from beating a tedious game compel you gays say moronic stuff like this? Get a hold of yourself >Linear level design >Linear world design >Linear gear progression >Every boss is a samey duel between you and some idiot that holds his arm above his head for 10 seconds then accelerates to light speed >True turn-based combat because the player has no poise while bosses do >Limited build variety >forces you into a specific play-style by cranking enemy tracking, sporadically disabling backstab opportunities (if not outright turning backstabs off), and nullifying dodge/block against red attacks >Enemy placement and tactics are static throughout the entire game
This game would be a more disappointing sequel to DaS1 than DaS2 was if it were a souls game. This souls-slop was made by Z-Team
Gonna let you in a secret, people feel really good about themselves in a game where you can avoid damage by tapping block at the right time. I have no idea why but people act moronic over this and then consider it the best game ever
most of these would apply to DS3 which was made by muh a team, it doesn't have blatantly awful areas like izalith, the awful recycling of ER, etc.
level design is actually pretty good as it just rips off from level design principles all over the place, all they really need to do for a sequel is to open up the world design
it's very polished and full of small details and variety, whereas LOTF combat looks janky but might have decent exploration with its dual world gimmick
We may not respect DS3 around here but take a seat pgay. >Linear level design
Undead Settlement, Cathedral of the Deep, Farron Keep, Catacombs of Carthus, Smouldering Lake, Irithyll, and Profaned Capital all have option portions. As opposed to the dead end + random consumable that Lies of P will offer you for straying off the beaten path. >Linear world design
High Wall branches off into Undead Settlement, Lothric Castle, and Consumed Kings Garden. Road of Sacrifices branches into Cathedral of the Depp and Farron Keep. Catacombs of Carthus into Smouldering Lake and Irithyll, etc. >Linear Gear progression
Not an issue due to the sequence breaking potential and larger levels. >Bosses
Has plenty of unusual bosses like Greatwood, Crystal Sages, Deacons, Wolnir, Wyvern, Halflight, and 1st phase Nameless. >Build variety
Has three entire schools of magic, more stats, allows for usage of a wide variety of off hand tools, has a variety of ranged weapons. >forces you into a specific play-style
You can reliably strafe, block, parry, dodge, and take the initiative throughout most of the game. >enemy placement and tactics
Irithyll Dungeon - Lies of P-esque ambushes
Road of Sacrifices - passive enemies that have to be awoken first
Irithyll - Roaming Knights on long walk cycles
Just starting out, got to big fricking cop puppet. Don't want to summon because I want to try to do all the bosses on my own. How should I be building my character? And how do I learn to parry better, I keep over relying on dodges.
>How should I be building my character? And how do I learn to parry better, I keep over relying on dodges.
You can practice on the dummy at the hotel but tbh it took until a certain clown miniboss for me to nut up and get a blockin'
I got the king ergo, wtf do i pick? The cool dex weapon or the amulet that increases arm grades? I feel like theres plenty of weapons to pick from but that amulet is incredibly valuable
> decided to kill three betraying npcs > met two > already feels bad not sparing them
at least P already established himself as the villain by killing white lady and donkey
Betrayed the hotel residents and led the alchemists, black rabbit brotherhood, fox mask and cat mask to attack the hotel.
He was also a fake. The real Alidoro caught him illegally selling relics, confronted him and the fake killed the real one (who was Eugenie's brother btw) and took over his identity. The one we meet in the game is a piece of shit murderer
>Gotta play the game twice to fully unlock everything
Kek, not if you use a cheat engine for infinite quartz and other shit I don't have the patience to run the entire game just so I can get enough quartz to max out the p-organ system.
I thought the twice thing was just because of boss amulets and the various endings?
Since it's a Pinocchio game, does it have the whale?
Yes but it's blink and you'll miss it tier. It's the sub you take to the island at the end of the game
Sometimes you just get "in the zone". One person's easy boss is another person's filter. I had a lot of trouble with King of Puppets, but I effortlessly dunked on Manus at the end of the game.
No, they 'nerfed' (just gave it a bit less health) the part where he's a giant king puppet and not the second phase at all. The only boss they actually hit beyond just softening them up a bit was the final one and they just made him hit a bit less hard.
The people screaming the game is dead now are moronic
The boss nerfs aren't so bad, but the nerfs to the enemies in the Abbey are pretty significant, it really gutted the challenge of that final dungeon IMO.
>but the nerfs to the enemies in the Abbey are pretty significant
Fricking good. It's a slog. The enemies aren't hard, just tanky as frick >it really gutted the challenge of that final dungeon IMO.
You can literally just run past everything. I did it several times when I got fed up

To each their own. I enjoyed it being grueling to get to the top.
>Fallen Archbishop Andreus
Understandable >King of Puppets
Already has low health, they should have not nerf it. >Simon Manus
Dunno never been there yet
Alright, so you meant King Puppet and not Romeo afterall.
Got confused, since both phases arguably got 2 phases aswell.
Anyway, thought Ive read somewhere that they nerfed the 2nd phases. Wouldve rather appriciated that since the 1st phases are mostly pushovers, but ah well, guess its atleast a bit less tedious to do the 1st phase like 10 times just for the 2nd.
>The people screaming the game is dead now are moronic
100%
Its probably just cope in the literal sense by people who need this for their ego
These are the boss changes (no hard percentages yet)
Boss Monster Balance Changes
- Decreased the HP of 'Fallen Archbishop Andreus'
- Decreased the HP of 'King of Puppets' in the first phase
- Decreased the HP of 'Simon Manus, Arm of God'
- Decreased the damage of 'Simon Manus, Awakened God'
- Increased the chance to break the stance of 'Simon Manus, Awakened God'"
Use fire if possible, bait his charges and go in for some back attacks. It can be better to get a running start before dodging. Or just try and get his attack patterns down and block/deflect.

Thanks. I figured out another way to kill him though. When he pulls his shield out run out the door you came from, then he’ll put shield down and turn his back. You can then run and get 5 or so strikes in before he pull his shield out again.
This game got me to read Pluto. Never seen it recommended anywhere and I consider myself weeby. Shit like this and monster just don't vibe wit zoomers I guess
How exactlt would a randomizer work with a linear game like this? Bosses gatekeep all new areas so I don't see a way to do so unless chapter bosses are removed and all areas are open from the start
I swear to god the last 5 chapters were such a fricking slog its insane
Why would they pivot from a kino setting such as a steampunk city overrun by puppets into generic blue sludge tentacle monsters, and then make you run through 4 of the most boring possible settings you could ever think of for an action game
chef handle plus electric disc plus wire arm lvl4
the game is finally fun again.
shame slow handles are so ridiculously underpowered there's no reason any sane people will play with them.
get staggered by everything plus half dps due to being slow as shit.
>King of Puppets >Romero
Thank God, Gamepass patch takes a lot of time, I'm able to beat him before the nerf lmao. >Simon Manus
But i dont have the time to play this fricking game, is their a way to stop the updates on gamepass?
Put the circular electric saw blade on the pistol drill handle. It basically makes a pseudo whirligig saw for any BB fans here. Yeah it gets a penalty because it's not thrusting but I don't care, it's still neat.
I love this game so much brehs..
P is such a cutie I'm glad there's no moronic character creation that always looks garbage so you wear a helmet. I just defeated the big ass brother family from the brotherhood, shit is kino
honestly, it wont. itll try to do so many things, but fail miserably in all the important stuff. these devs are the rejects and leftovers of the devs who were responsible for the dumpster fire sniper ghost warrior 3
If they had faith in their game they should put a demo up. Demos really help for lesser known devs that need to prove themselves. The demo for this game is exactly what sold me on it and made me get it at launch.
Should've been there day one.
That's just life, you know? People are born differently. Don't take it personally, just blame your circumstances like all of the other slow-walking beta males.
You need to stagger him 2-3 times to beat him.
Easy mode: Use Aegis, hold left trigger, press left bumper constantly
Normal mode: Use grindstone for perfect parry windows and block a bunch to build up his stagger
thanks got him. didn't really need to cheat or anything. just took a bit of actually hittin the right frickin leg i died when he fell down the second time to critical attack from his body
>Literally who the frick wants to play a wizard of oz themed sequel?
I do, can't fricking wait. I'm kinda concerned about your taste if that DOESN'T sound appealing to you
Not going to lie I beat the game before the patch and I was seething through the while game. Every enemy is a health sponge even though Im using a big ass weapon. The bosses are the epitome of artificial difficulty, most of the bosses are badly designed on top of that. Weight was terrible, since I played strength I was always near a heavy load so had to limit my equips. Most of the bosses 2nd phases had bullshit attacks that felt atrocious to deal with, if you died you had to play through the first phase over again. The decay debuff did too much compared to the other debuffs. I thought the parry was fine but the roll was utter shit due to half of the mechanics being locked behind the skill tree. Since they patched the game I might reinstall and get the other ending
>Die a few times against scrapped watchman >Decide to check that specter stuff >Specter could probably easily solo the boss
What the frick. I expected a decoy that dies before I reach the second phase, not some fricking win button. Did they at least suck later in the game or do they stay win buttons? Not that I plan to ever touch them again as it seems like they skip the only reason to play the game, but beating Lies of P is hardly an achievement when you have a win button right next to the boss door. Pretty lame.
I was thinking the same. Its early in the game and the kill was 100% undeserved. It literally felt like cheating, I absolutely didnt expect them to be so fricking strong.
You’ll take your words back on the next boss. Sometimes the spectre gets stomped and throws your game off because you’re not use to timing your dodges for a boss who’s move aren’t always directed at you.
You can earn 40k back in like 5 minutes by going to the arcade near the merchant and killing the big guys there over and over. Using quartz to improve ergo, and wearing the ergo amulet I was getting 4k per kill.
Phase 2 is bullshit. But you, the player, are a moron if you don't adapt to the bullshit. Phase 1 is a cakewalk you can basically clear without taking damage or maybe 1-2 pulse cells at most. Phase 2 after tennis give up playing parry focused and just block. Just face tank her spaz combos, poke, and heal. She has very little health and you will easily win the war of attrition.
You can cheese him. When he pulls out his shield, run out of the door. He’ll put it down and turn around, then you can run up behind him and get a couple hits in. Repeat this 5-10 times and he’s dead.
I ended up spamming items to clutch it. Fire didn't activate sadly
>standing in front of the shield >"WAHHH WHY WON'T MY ATTACKS HURT HIM WAHHHH"
You can cheese him. When he pulls out his shield, run out of the door. He’ll put it down and turn around, then you can run up behind him and get a couple hits in. Repeat this 5-10 times and he’s dead.
Don't feel bad, this guy filtered me as well, took me like 12 tries or some shit to finally beat him. It's unironically a really weird fight, not even a boss, it's like a mini boss that the game just randomly throws at you and it's harder than most of the enemies in that area.
>it's like a mini boss that the game just randomly throws at you and it's harder than most of the enemies in that area
don't worry anon, they nerfed all minibosses with the recent patch, now they have half the hp and get staggered MUCH more easily
i just beat this black cat Black person to death felt kinda anti climactic but it is what it is. homie wanted another golden fruitcup like cmon bro you fricked me all game
He made videos on other Souls-likes before, but it's been a while since the last one, which was Code Vein.
But I think he's too busy making ER and AC videos to bother.
There's no need, this game actually conveys its story well instead of throwing a bunch of cryptic nonsense at the player and hoping they fill in the blanks with their own headcanon.
I used to hate it, but towards the end I didn't mind it anymore. After you beat phase 1 a few times it starts becoming such a breeze you don't really even register it as a part of the fight anymore.
Blocking with a heavy blade is way more effective than the numbers imply, especially with P-Organ upgrades. It's not uncommon for you to recover all the healable health from a whole attack string in 1~2 swings.
He doesn't have much attacks, so you should be able to learn it after a few attempts.
Other than that, make sure your weapon is upgraded and put points into attack stats.

I cheesed it with items, felt a little dirty but proud of myself for beating it in 2 attempts only. So I ended the video only to realize there was a phase 2, I got rekt
You have a good understanding of the first phase, you'll beat the second in no time. I saw you were greedy when you missed the first stagger, happens to the best of us. As for the second phase make sure to get behind the boss because that will make his moveset similar to the first phase with only slight variations.
>As for the second phase make sure to get behind the boss because that will make his moveset similar to the first phase with only slight variations.
I should have read that earlier kek
Why the frick is the big important and ancestral headquarters of the Alchemists filled with slum-like wooden constructions? I'm baffled there wasn't a high-tech lab or something similar anywhere in the Abbey.
Abandoned apartment, cross the sign, stay left and ignore the shortcut, left across a rock bridge, right then a left into an alley area. Hes up the stairs
>Be a weeb >Get GLORIOUS NIPPON STEEL towards the end of the game >Most DEX weapons are trash >Rapier is unironically the best DEX weapon next to katana
I literally only used primarily the Rapier for the majority of the game until I got the katana. The sad part is that your damage severely falls off later on with the Rapier. I had it at +6 with A rank scaling, and it did hardly nothing. STR weapons hit hard but I don't like the slow swing speed, plus I suck ass at perfect parrying.
Funny enough if you get the Wrench to like +6 with A rank scaling it does like 400 damage or some shit. I really don't know what the top weapons in the game are in terms of damage, I'm sure the boss weapons are the best if you scale them up to S rank and max them out.
Isn't that a STR weapon? It scales more with motivity than technique. I never really used the weapon assemble because I thought it was moronic and made the weapons look goofy.
She wasn't too bad as a strchad. If she opened with the lunge attack it gave me a free charged R2 on her back which breaks her shield (not entirely sure what this does think it just gives a small window for damage). Also buffing with fire on her first phase is best because she jumps around so much in phase 2 and you can shred phase 1 much faster.
You must have missed a shortcut, pretty sure there is a gate you open that connects the checkpoint literally right near the boss entrance to the bishop fight.
Is this actually a good game or will it be lost in the sea of "just another forgettable souls clone" a few years from now?
From what little I've seen it seems like a direct clone rather than just inspired. But with more of an emphasis on shitty jump scares and less emphasis on roll spams instead encouraging perfect blocks.
None of the bosses I've seen looked super engaging or fun so far either and I don't want to spoil too much.
nah its good
code vein, surge1&2, lords of the fallen, steel rising, to some extent darksiders 3, mortal shell, woohoolooo are all bootleg but this feels legit to play.
nioh i dont count since it feels more of its own thing
I haven't tried most of them and don't have all of them at least I don't think I do but most of them scale more with STR than DEX, you gotta I think 1-2 that are balanced between STR and DEX though.
The katana to me personally feels the best, but I'm doing a DEX build, didn't care for STR weapons. I think the HOLY ARK SWORD or whatever is pretty good. Sadly the only thing DEX players get is some homosexual umbrella dagger that does shit damage.
I ran a dexgay build and used elemental daggers my entire first playthrough, but fell in love with the katana in NG+. Once you get the R2 parry timings down everything flows so smoothly, and the 1 fable bar dodge has saved me from so many situations, and thanks to the patch you now get hyper armor on the entire movement
I'm not doing a STR build with a heavy weapon and I don't like the game's parry system. I don't know how many times you have to parry to break his weapon, figured it's easier with a heavy STR weapon. Try fighting him with a DEX build and then come back to me.
here's a thought moron-kun, you have two weapon slots. Put a heavy weapon in a slot, use that to break his weapon, then switch to your dexgay weapon. Or if you're a capacitylet, just hardswap through the menu
As a DEX user I saw no reason to invest in capacity, so as you guessed it, I didn't DUO WELD weapons because it was unnecessary added weight, also I only used the Rapier mostly, didn't really need a second weapon. I'm not hardswapping through the menu because that sounds absolutely tedious and moronic. Since I invested nothing into capacity, I couldn't really have a lot of heavy stuff equipped anyway.
Thank god you can respec later on, though it's way way later in the game, almost towards the end.
the game has been out for over a week dipshit, don't go into a thread like this and not expect spoilers to be flying around
>Been out for a week
I have a day job and I take my time playing games like this, we didn't all just rush through it and beat it in 10 hours.
There are perks that buffs weapons damage by 50% when at max durability and another that repairs inactive weapons. You can use this to setup pocket nukes
Okay can someone help me? I am really struggling with the Black Rabbits, but I don't want to resort to cheese. I'm able to sit down and learn bosses and eventually overcome but I really struggle with gank fights.
black rabbit 1 or 2?
I'm assuming 1, there are a few strats you can use.
>break the eldest rabbit's weapon early in the fight before the smol one joins, makes the fight much easier >abuse backstabs and throwables to get rid of the other rabbits when they come in. Spearbro is the easiest to backstab, the other two are easy to hit with throwables >use the fire grinder to deal with the big boy, and/or any acid canisters or legion arm if you have it to help with the destruction damage of his weapon >when the other rabbits are on the field helping, big bro just rp walks slowly towards you or screams to telegraph the running slash. Should be easy to separate the two and isolate the weaker add
Breaking the eldest buster sword is the key to winning the fight, it drops his damage and range dramatically.
The siblings are all shitters and barely do any damage, you can easily lure them away from the eldest since they tend to chase you while the eldest will usually just menacingly walk towards you and only rush you after an audible cue.
Assuming you mean the first one (not really a spoiler it's obvious after the first fight), remember that the older brother won't really attack you once the ganking starts, he hangs back and runs in every so often for a very easy to dodge attack, so it's more of an endurance fight against the 3 siblings than a gank fight. Also, acid is best against them.
If it’s the first fight just focus on perfect blocking Eldest’s attacks until you break his sword. He does WAY less damage. And you can mitigate dealing with the others by taking them out as they join the fight. One will jump in at a certain health threshold on Eldest. You can avoid the final guy with the sword and grapple arm because he’s the last to join and the fight ends immediately when you beat Eldest. I think people only find this fight hard because they wail on Eldest Brother so hard early on and then end up getting jumped by everyone when it’s easy to control the flow of the fight by being patient
>the easy mode meme is real
It’s elden ring all over again
Please stop fricking crying over how difficult souls game are
I’m tired of the genre being neutered so the diaper legions can play the game too
>the more human P is the less his idle animations has him twitching like a robot.
It's these little details in video games that I miss so much. You can really tell someone had a vision when making this game. Truly a soulful game.
>Gotta play the game twice to fully unlock everything
Kek, not if you use a cheat engine for infinite quartz and other shit I don't have the patience to run the entire game just so I can get enough quartz to max out the p-organ system.
Don't feel bad, I feel like he's the first real filter boss in the game. I struggled with him for a bit before finally killing him. If you use the Specter that can help a lot, but if you're not using him then it'll take longer to kill him.
Nah nameless puppet is absolute dog shit. Whoever made that boss should unironically quit designing games and go bankrupt. If the game wasn't focused on L1 timing and delayed attacks out the ass it'd be fine. But it's totally counter intuitive. They added a sekiro boss but without the ease of sekiro blocking. Gay asiatic boss muddying a perfectly good game. It's a good thing all the endings are shit so it wasn't worth killing him.
Nameless Puppet isn't that bad, the long sword attacks are easy to parry since they have obvious wind ups, dual sword attacks are a bit hard to parry consistently, but you can just block them and attack him once he's done his combo to regain your health, spear attack is kind of bullshit though, since the stab into laser shot was very hard for me to dodge because I couldn't get the timing right.
anyone got a list of where to use all your emotes? shit like rememberance seems like its used for something, and the ded alchemist mummy in the abbey seems like something to use whatever on
Wtf is the point of the cube? It does barely any healing and takes for ever to activate. Also wtf is the point of the grinder buffs? They last for 2 seconds it’s not worth the effort. This game keeps introducing pointless mechanics.
cube is mostly buffs for >summons or the lame healing as a last resort
grinder buffs duration can be extended in the upgrade tree, they're actually super useful
Grinder buffs adds a nice bit of damage if you match the enemy's weakness. It's also very important against a late game boss that wears heavy armor which halves your physical damage.
yeah Im not feeling the stagger "buff" at all. but at least the one boss that journalists complained about has less HP now so you're less prepared for the future hp sponges
It's weird how there seems to be a MacGuffin switcheroo throughout the game that the player is unaware of. From what I get: >Paracelsus brought the God Arm to the Alchemists. >Cecile stole the arm for the bishop. >Geppeto somehow got it from the bishop. >Manus stole it back from Geppeto thanks to P.
Like, I don't see how this changes anything. They could just say "Manus had it" and nothing would change
I don't know how you can reach that point and actually think it's framing putting her out of his misery as a bad thing lmao. Sometimes I wonder about people who can't grasp anything but black and white.
I bet the ending where Geppetto mocks you for still being a stupid puppet even at the end was a dig against those people.
Eh, I'm still confused about a lot of stuff and I beat the game. The devs flat-out admitted they cut some story stuff due to pacing.
>The devs flat-out admitted they cut some story stuff due to pacing.
Interesting. I assume it's probably stuff with Romeo since that a lot of that is kind of wonky and confusing. Like why was Romeo revived by Geppetto? I get the robots were attacking humans infected with the disease in an effort to stop them from reviving / becoming monsters but like why did they attack P?
The OST is not really memorable. Only Fuoco, Black Rabbit Brotherhood and King of Puppet themes stand out.
That broken french song too, I guess.
If there's an area the game should've deviated from the souls games it's the music and they missed an opportunity to do so. Game still has soul but you I would have loved the soundtrack to be closer in feel to the songs you could listen to with the gramophone.
took me a bit but for some reason big bro felt easier to deal with.
i was using the pipe wrench head and handle so i dunno kinda forced to perfect guard a lot of it
Nah, the siblings mostly attack one at a time with the sibling with the buffed weapon leading the attack so it's not as messy as it looks. The eldest also only comes out when there's only 1 sibling left, so if you distribute the damage you can kill off the 3rd shortly after the 2nd leaving only the eldest to solo you. If by that point you still have trouble with 1v1 fights, Laxasia going to be a much bigger problem.
Also, the siblings are easily staggered, I could do it every hit with a city longspear charge attack with a tyrant dagger head.
You can still get hit by glowing red attacks. I never took that upgraded but I assume maybe you get a bit of a defense buffer before and after the actual I-frames of the dodge. There’s a lot more useful upgrades though unless you’re really hard focusing on buffing dodge any way possible
>fighting Fallen Archbishop Andreus >after maybe 10 tries he’s almost dead >out of heals and on my last leg >oh! I’ve got the cube! I can use that to heal >first time ever using it because I only have the one stone >didn’t realize it takes 10 fricking seconds or something activate >Andreus whomps my ass while I’m standing there like a dipshit holding my hovering cube
Beat him on the next try at least
>Playing game with my baton handle wrench head combo because i like big damage and its fast enough >Also the fable arts combo is hysterical, reminds me of doing charged r2s with the stake driver in Bloodborne, my favorite thing >Switch off during the black rabbit brotherhood fight because i literally couldnt hit him at times due to how dogshit the range on this combo is >try out bonesaw handle and booster glaive blade for some range an ok fable art and another generic strength weapon with range and sweeps because i was kind of missing that >fight puppet king for 2 hours >go to bed >wake up >hmm i kind of miss using the baton and wrench lemme try it again >great damage, speed, and stagger, feel much better >get to second phase >stagger him while he's electrocuted for more damage >my time has come >pop the handle buff and then hit him with a fully charged patient smash >instant kill on my second attempt today
I didn't beat the game(tm), but boy if it isn't fricking hilarious.
Elden Ring ruined soulslikes. >completely unintuitive enemy movesets that you have to trial and error your way through instead of reacting naturally like you should be able to >zero wind up combos that microstagger you on every hit so if the first one lands you eat the whole combo >basically no windows to attack, heavy weapon users can get one swing in one every 20 seconds maybe >bosses becoming nimble as frick and evading everything you do as soon as it is time to stagger them
Frick green Black person. Punch whoever designed it.
>every little single thing microstaggers you so you can't dodge the next thing >what should be an opening for a heavy attack to stun is just a fakeout that damages you severely
>one the coolest looking fights from what I could see
have not played the game but I just advice you to maybe git gud
>So many little things the devs did.
Yeah I'm thinking soul.
What's even the point of this reference when they made Pinocchio look like a gay
they were cute
"Barren Swamp" doesn't sound like the place you'd go to pick up a dress.
>if you go into town
It says 'go out of town'.
Huh yeah
pretty dumb then
Who wanted the dress?
Laxative is one of the better fights in the game, maybe the best.
I cringe everytime I have to read LIE OR DIE or Now Lying.
About to play this game tonight, should I be lying or...
Which gets better ending?
Lies always get you better rewards, make more sense in the story and are required for the true ending. I told the truth on stuff I thought was important, but the npcs just brushed off that info. The game was designed with lying always being optimal.
>MC doesn't even resemble a puppet at any point despite making becoming human a thing in the game
>Still have the audacity to reference his nose getting longer
Honestly this is fricking weak shit. I get that no one wanted to play as a dude with a long nose or but they could've at least conveyed the inhumanity a little better
They did
The sound you make when moving changes as you become human
>low humanity - spring sounds
>high humanity - no springs, panting and grunting
The point is that he could easily be mistaken for a human even as a "puppet". Who care about some minor sound quirks
>abused the aegis bug on phase 2
> finished ng before the patch
>still beat the game
I can acknowledge that the rabbits fights are well designed but gank fights just drive me crazy
They're not as bad as the DS2 DLC gankfight that people bring up, but they are a far cry from the finely tuned Bloodborne 3v1 with the ringwraith homies.
I beat the game
whoa whos the booba?
Sophia
>DD/MM/YY
WTF? I'm from EU, my store is set to Germany because my godforsaken Balkan country is not available, but I have MM/DD/YY
5 chievos left to 1000G
Must be a French thing
Your locale/language is probably set to English (US) somewhere in your language settings, try setting it to English (World) or English (UK)
we beat the game
phew, i beat the game just in time
can you at least post her without the armor
>her
god those breasts are hangin in for dear life
>her breasts are actually massive
>barely held by the tiddy wrap
I approve this character design
It's a consequence of a country where porn is illegal, everything goes full gigacoomer mode to compensate
censorship.. is le good?
More like censorship doesn't really work, if people have to use workarounds to be horny then goddamnit they'll do it.
just need to get her model ripped somehow so we can all coom
Unironically based, porn is poison to the mind and people are too stupid to realize it or restrain themselves.

Why did G start the Puppet Frenzy? How did that help him?

How did Carlos die?
Did Carlos and Sophia know each other?
Who was the Legendary Stalker?
Why was Sophia important for Simon's plan?
Who was Camille? One note says she was the first puppet to awaken, another hints she was G's wife.
Why does P give Sophia's puppet body bigger boobs?
>Why did G start the Puppet Frenzy? How did that help him?
He wants world domination, anon.
Romeo is Carlo's childhood friend.
I thought lots of people dying meant lots of ergo which he needed to revive Carlo.
Simon's just a freak like that, he probably had the body made because he always intended to transfer her into it at some point.
>lady antonia
holy shit
To be fair, Sophia wears clothes that don't make it clear how big her breasts actually are
And after replaying a lot I think that the Red Fox and her brother were on G payroll from the start, they are always there to help Carlos in someway and in the end they don't even want to fight, at the end they probably ended rich as frick after getting money from Manus, G and Venigni.
They seemed like the types to not ask too many questions if it meant getting paid.
killed them for their drip anyways
How does the Arm of God fit into this? If I remember right, the notes kinda said that some kind of "god" or being from beyond the stars landed on earth and got torn to pieces. The arm still remains and is (?) the arm on Manus when it tries to "phone home".
That's still one of the bigger mysteries, the "metal comet", "one-winged angel", and "ripped-art god" all seem to be related in some way (either the same thing, or maybe the angel/god came to Earth in a "metal comet" [space ship?]). I hope the DLC gives some more answers about it.
Well the one winged angel is Sephiroth, everyone knows that.
It's 2, he created a doll using her Ergo.
I suspected that, but is that confirmed anywhere?
>I'm not sure if it's hard confirmed, but given he's essentially the father of puppetry and is the only one that would conceivably have access to her corpse, it doesn't feel like that much of a stretch to assume.
>Camille
>wife
In the good ending, where you bring Sofia back to life, does P die or does he just pass out?
Because the epilogue hints that he's still alive
Maybe you should spoiler shit for those of us who haven't finished the game yet, homosexual. I'm literally on the second to last chapter.
the game has been out for over a week dipshit, don't go into a thread like this and not expect spoilers to be flying around
He's still alive it seems, since you just get back to the game and can read her post-revival letter in Geppeto's office.
P is alive. You return to the hotel after the ending to find everyone talking about everything being over and a letter from Sofia thanking you as well as a note from the alchemist guy
P just wanted to roleplay the goddess respec statue with his waifu, anon
>lore questions
are you homies serious?
Do I need to upgrade a hammer/blunt for door guardian or slash is enough? I'm guessing it's a stagger gimmick
It's a stagger gimmick fight. Hit the leg until he falls down, hit head, repeat. I think 2 times is enough on NG
She's one of the most fair fights in the game. You can literally Ganon her to death.
I don't know why people are upset about the nerfs, this should only bother you if you haven't beaten that boss yet. But if you have beaten them, why be mad, now you can lord it over newbies forever that you beat the REAL gigchad-mode fight and they didn't, and nothing they do can ever change that.
Game discussion is poisoned now.
>now you can lord it over newbies forever that you beat the REAL gigchad-mode fight and they didn't
i'm not on the spectrum, so i don't give a shit what version you beat.
if you don't beat it permadeath lvl 1 no upgrades etc, you aren't even allowed to brag anyways.
>But if you have beaten them, why be mad
It's kind of lame that I can't refight them on the same difficulty I originally beat them at without jumping through hoops to do so.
>Korean ripoff is better than the original
how does this make you feel?
I feel nothing, who makes a game and if it's a ripoff or not is of no consequence to me as long as the product ends up being good. Which it is, LoP is an excellent game.
good. bloodborne is still great but i feel like lies of p blows it out of the water
It's good but no, it's not better than BB. Still really solid for coming out of a pretty much unknown dev (or at least unknown to me).
if they can add secrets to the world, invasions and maybe messages (yes they are fun), more interesting side quests and cool spells in their next game, they will most likely land a huge hit
no idea if its better
i dont own a playstation so its the closest to BB i'll ever get
just buy a PS5 and a copy of bb+DeS:R, simple as
cheap enough
>just buy a ps5
But I'm not gay
i'll just wait till ps4 gets emulated instead
the joke is that bb:remake steam edition will be released just before a functioning ps4 emulation is out...

feels oh so good, shitters could never understand
qrd on ng+? your typical affair with ng+ in fromshit? just wondering whether i should start it without stocking up on upgrade materials and whatever pretty keen on starting ng+ but i dont have many weapons upgraded
Nah they give you new P-Organ ranks to invest, and start handing out levels like candy. I ended NG at like lvl 90, ended NG+ at 211
I have not beat it yet and I don't want it to end BUT I have disabled the update so I will earn my victory
is the 5th trinity door on the isle or did I miss it before? Just heard Romeo's message
Yes, the last part is in the isle. The last chapter is surprisingly long.
Also, pic related was still extremely kino.
Same, I was stuck on Simon for days. Finally decided to give Aegis a try and it was a joke. Game remains unpatched as well, but not like I give a shit
alright guys stop frickin around and post the b***h
>that cudgel arm monster in the swamp below the arcade
Frick this thing.
The same guy is found before the Black Rabbits, in that area with the two shitflingers on the roofs. I died to that guy so many times for some reason. I just cant read his attack and get hit by the fury-attack every time.
Lies of P is amazing
Why are americans always such pussies
Living easy lives in luxury and lack of external threats creates weak people I guess
>go to bed after getting past the King of Puppets

I hope Lords of the Fallen is just pure shit so I don't need to feel FOMO if I don't get it immediately and they nerf it.
>get a new armored core game
>it has the sekiro posture bar
>get a new bloodborne game
>it has the sekiro posture AND parry
Is the patch even out for Xbox? I finished NG+ today, but my current version still says 1.1.2.0
If you got them in your ng+, then I just missed it
When you reset your stats, do they revert to your starting class or all 1s?
Starting class. Which kinda sucks. But its not the end of the world. I had completely forgotten that the starting weapon is kinda your starting class
Can i change the starting class in NG+?
No. But you get so fricking many stats that it doesnt matter
>- Fixed a typo of Carlo Collodi in the End Credits. (We sincerely apologize to Mr. Collodi and that was not a lie!)
This bothered me quite a lot tbh
It is kind of a dumb ass mistake to make. But I feel like they got a random gaijin who told them "sure I can speak english" to translate half of the game. Feels like there was 0 effort put into making sure that things actually sound good or have functional names
What, you dont think Darkmoon Moonstone of Moon Covenant of Darkmoon is good translation?
?? Thats not real, right?
it’s not
Artificial difficulty unlike that other difficultly human beings didn't put in. Tard term.
>Patch notes don't mention the aegis glitch
So that was intended?
Koreans can't read english bug reports so they don't get it
>spend like 30 minutes trying to break Laxative's weapon, surely it'll make phase 2 easier
>lolno it just instantly causes transition to phase 2
If you don't get any benefit from it then why the frick make it so hard to do?
Its to frick you over. Same thing with her phase2 stagger. If you don't know, you'll get rekt when it happens. It was funny the first time
I actually really liked that. It made phase 1 easier
It unironically takes near a 100 parries to break her weapon and I have literally every parry improvement upgrade, it is infinitely easier, faster and safer to just beat her normally.
But I enjoy parrying her. It's the fight that reminded me most of Sekiro which I liked
>parrying the lightning bolts for the first time
>balance patch
>game got piss easy so even the autists here can 'beat' it now
none of the bosses were too hard. Patch turned gold into a turd
Honestly I'm burned out from watching casual streamers struggle for actual multiple streams on early game bosses, while ignoring advice from chat to just spam throwables.
You don't even played the patch to know if its actually easy, it's the Radahm all over again.
This. I replayed ER recently and completely wiped the floor with Radahn, and all I could think the whole time was
>I don't remember it being this easy...
Or maybe you're just more experienced now?
Yeah, the issue is his stagger bar keeps refilled thanks to him playing keepaway so much
yeah same, simons attacks are stupidly easy to parry/dodge in both forms anyway so it seemed fair that he barely staggered
>nerfed archbishop
>is actually the moment the game becomes kino
the absolute state kek
did I beat him?
His healthbar depleted so yes.
Does he count as human or carcass in that fight?
I don't know why people have difficulty with these 4.
>Summon a specter
>Immediately focus on the brother with the pole and defeat him quickly
>Then take out the other younger brother
>Make sure specter is healed and do as much damage to the sister before the elder brother spawns.
>finish off sister if you havent already and then let specter gain the attention of the elder bro
>Spam projectiles and win instantly.
>I don't know why people think this fight is difficult
>*summons specter*
This is literally the easiest fight in the game, why would anyone need a specter?
I'm not disagreeing, but the specter makes an already easy fight even easier. People that struggle on these enemies are gatekeeping themselves by not utilizing the tools the game offers them
Wait you can heal the summon?
Yupp thats the point of the cubes. They buff the summon, but all are useless besides healing and defense buffs.
is it me or is sister the fastest of the bunch? she was hell to deal with with big bro around
?si=2uMt90urVQ-AEmJn&t=2454
Worse than DSP, imagine. Anon you are a fricking failure
summon is gay but that's the first version of the fight, which is easier since you can start by breaking his blade and the arena gives you more space
>fatty burnell is using the most op weapon in the game
pottery
trident is more op than holy crutch of ark?
Ghetto spear is way better. Has the same base crit rate. Its twice as fast, has a crit boost AND atk boost fable you can use at once. Has insane DPS. And all attacks are pokes and not shitty slash attacks like the tridents r1. Its also lighter
a specter
I feel like I got really lucky or something because Manus is the only boss I first-tried.
> killed the second jester first try
> got comboed to death by the larger puppet right after that
That grabbing bastard is actually harder
>one of the best fights is somehow the worst one
This thread smells like severe autism.
Those big ugly b***hes in the red skirt in the opera house are frustrating
I was very skeptical of this game but the positive reception interests me. Is this worth buying now, or should I wait for a sale / rent on gamepass?
worth buying if you like the genre, it's fun. On top of good levels and decent combat it has actual story, which is nice for a soulslike
gp
but they have plans for dlcs and perhaps online eventually
yeah they said they want to add online in the sequel
Yup, fantastic game and if the recent nerfs are significant they actually fixed some of my problems with the game significantly.
I've joined the long hair club
But is your heart pounding yet, anon?
Is it just me or does big weapons like the wrench suck?
the blade is fine
Bonesaw + booster handle
you tell me
You seem very over leveled. Why is your stamina bar so fricking huge.
>10 flasks
Is this NG+?
yeah it's NG+, with increased health pools for bosses. You can do the exact same thing on NG. I'll start a new save and show you brb
I know you can I beat him easily after a few tries. I was just wondering if it's NG+ which makes sense now.
Based exploding pickaxe handle enjoyer. I used that for bonesaw then swapped to live puppet axe for the rest of the game.
>yesterday
>seething hard at king of puppets
>today hear a nerf patch is out
>tfw its not on xbox yet
>say whatever ill try to kill this homosexual anyway
>...
>just killed him
>no specter
>pre patch
>3 FLASKS LEFT
Ok so now what's the prize for this endeavor? Am i allowed to join your secret autism club?
You will be greeted on a red carpet at the house of Venigni
I beat the game and I don't care
Only if you shit on el director for ruining the bossfight
Amateurs
Is this game actually hard like Nioh 2 or is it nu-hard like Elden Ring.
I pray for the day a soulslike will implement a "Boss mode"
Get a hold of yourself
>Linear level design
>Linear world design
>Linear gear progression
>Every boss is a samey duel between you and some idiot that holds his arm above his head for 10 seconds then accelerates to light speed
>True turn-based combat because the player has no poise while bosses do
>Limited build variety
>forces you into a specific play-style by cranking enemy tracking, sporadically disabling backstab opportunities (if not outright turning backstabs off), and nullifying dodge/block against red attacks
>Enemy placement and tactics are static throughout the entire game
This game would be a more disappointing sequel to DaS1 than DaS2 was if it were a souls game. This souls-slop was made by Z-Team
Gonna let you in a secret, people feel really good about themselves in a game where you can avoid damage by tapping block at the right time. I have no idea why but people act moronic over this and then consider it the best game ever
You sound like a shitter
>He... Le dislike game!? SHITTER!
>moron speak
Shitter.
most of these would apply to DS3 which was made by muh a team, it doesn't have blatantly awful areas like izalith, the awful recycling of ER, etc.
level design is actually pretty good as it just rips off from level design principles all over the place, all they really need to do for a sequel is to open up the world design
it's very polished and full of small details and variety, whereas LOTF combat looks janky but might have decent exploration with its dual world gimmick
>This game would be a more disappointing sequel to DaS1 than DaS2 was if it were a souls game.
DaS2 was better than DaS1, DaS3 and Elden Ring though.
Being a better game doesn't make it a good sequel.
You can practice on the dummy at the hotel but tbh it took until a certain clown miniboss for me to nut up and get a blockin'
>dude lets put a bunch of ranged enemies near the mad clown
>also...fire!!! xd
what the frick were they thinking
where is the frickin cat? im at hotel 2.0 so i dont know if he fricked off or i have to see him first before the hotel or what
check boxes/bags upstairs, or just reload
I got the king ergo, wtf do i pick? The cool dex weapon or the amulet that increases arm grades? I feel like theres plenty of weapons to pick from but that amulet is incredibly valuable
Ok i checked the weapon in a video and its cool as frick, now i really dont know what to pick
The Scythe is incredibly fun to use, if you're already a Technique build it's worth taking.
> decided to kill three betraying npcs
> met two
> already feels bad not sparing them
at least P already established himself as the villain by killing white lady and donkey
I felt bad for killing black cat and red fox but frick 'Alidoro'. Also the patch should have added his mask as a wearable.
What exactly did Alidoro do again? I didn't really pay attention to the sidequests. He killed his brother I remember, but that was before you met him
Betrayed the hotel residents and led the alchemists, black rabbit brotherhood, fox mask and cat mask to attack the hotel.
He was also a fake. The real Alidoro caught him illegally selling relics, confronted him and the fake killed the real one (who was Eugenie's brother btw) and took over his identity. The one we meet in the game is a piece of shit murderer
I thought the twice thing was just because of boss amulets and the various endings?
Yes but it's blink and you'll miss it tier. It's the sub you take to the island at the end of the game
Huh. They really nerfed stuff didn't they? Just got Romeo to like 10% on the first try
They only nerfed Romeo's first phase health.
Well shit. This fight was way easier than black rabbit or archbishop. For me at least.
Sometimes you just get "in the zone". One person's easy boss is another person's filter. I had a lot of trouble with King of Puppets, but I effortlessly dunked on Manus at the end of the game.
Wat ?
So of the 2 phase boss, they nerfed the 2nd phase' 1st phase ?
No, they 'nerfed' (just gave it a bit less health) the part where he's a giant king puppet and not the second phase at all. The only boss they actually hit beyond just softening them up a bit was the final one and they just made him hit a bit less hard.
The people screaming the game is dead now are moronic
The boss nerfs aren't so bad, but the nerfs to the enemies in the Abbey are pretty significant, it really gutted the challenge of that final dungeon IMO.
>but the nerfs to the enemies in the Abbey are pretty significant
Fricking good. It's a slog. The enemies aren't hard, just tanky as frick
>it really gutted the challenge of that final dungeon IMO.
You can literally just run past everything. I did it several times when I got fed up
To each their own. I enjoyed it being grueling to get to the top.
I do feel a lot of enemies were too tanky, especially big minibosses.
I was fine with the non-respawnable mini-bosses being tanky. It was the tier between them and the normal enemies that were too tanky
Those big b***hes who cause shock in the opera house definitely got nerfed. I patched up while doing it and it was much easier handling them
The lightning cane guys were honestly a bit too tanky. I don't think slightly reducing their health is the end of the world.
>Fallen Archbishop Andreus
Understandable
>King of Puppets
How the frick do I kill that stupid fat zombie frick isn’t the Cathedral? Why the frick does he rotate his charge when I dodge? It’s such bullshit.
Parry the attacks and run away from red
Climb the ladder and throw shit at him
I already beat him. See two posts up.
You didn’t beat him, you cheesed him
I did what was necessary
Which Legion Arms are anons using? I just used the Falcon one the whole game, so I could have a ranged attack.
Puppet String, the link attack from Lv3 does good damage and stagger, plus being able to pull trash mobs towards you can help avoid ganks
flamberge
what is the most common damage type from enemies?
I felt like bosses usually used slam types though I switched to slash for nameless
This game got me to read Pluto. Never seen it recommended anywhere and I consider myself weeby. Shit like this and monster just don't vibe wit zoomers I guess
I'm too old for video games now. I'm stuck with Scrapped Watchman, always getting to phase 2 and then getting my ass beat.
He’s easy. You just have to be patient with the lighting. It won’t strike you right away. The only annoying move he has is his stupid cannon ball.
milky milky warm and tasty
This is nice and all but I hope we get a randomizer.
How exactlt would a randomizer work with a linear game like this? Bosses gatekeep all new areas so I don't see a way to do so unless chapter bosses are removed and all areas are open from the start
where the nude mod for p?!
Why would you want breasts on P?
I swear to god the last 5 chapters were such a fricking slog its insane
Why would they pivot from a kino setting such as a steampunk city overrun by puppets into generic blue sludge tentacle monsters, and then make you run through 4 of the most boring possible settings you could ever think of for an action game
I’m on chapter 4 and yeah the soul’s not there. These zombie dudes are lame.
chef handle plus electric disc plus wire arm lvl4
the game is finally fun again.
shame slow handles are so ridiculously underpowered there's no reason any sane people will play with them.
get staggered by everything plus half dps due to being slow as shit.
filtered
child
Slow handles should increase poise as a hidden stat
Reminder that only this version matters, if you played on anything above - you played on journalist mode
>King of Puppets
>Romero
Thank God, Gamepass patch takes a lot of time, I'm able to beat him before the nerf lmao.
>Simon Manus
But i dont have the time to play this fricking game, is their a way to stop the updates on gamepass?
Magnus is extremely easy anyways
oh okay, i don't have to worry about that one then.
if i attack the dog do i still get to buy boss weapons later?
Yes from Hugo.
Put the circular electric saw blade on the pistol drill handle. It basically makes a pseudo whirligig saw for any BB fans here. Yeah it gets a penalty because it's not thrusting but I don't care, it's still neat.
why are the ergo drops in ng+ so huge? a random mob who dropped 99 in ng now drops 500 in ng+
Because the damage numbers and health values of enemies get similarly big.
it is? thats quite the jump if so, whats ng++ like? 99 in ng, ng+ 500, ng++ 1000?
I love this game so much brehs..
P is such a cutie I'm glad there's no moronic character creation that always looks garbage so you wear a helmet. I just defeated the big ass brother family from the brotherhood, shit is kino
Will Lords of the Fallen be just a good as this?
nah
honestly, it wont. itll try to do so many things, but fail miserably in all the important stuff. these devs are the rejects and leftovers of the devs who were responsible for the dumpster fire sniper ghost warrior 3
If they had faith in their game they should put a demo up. Demos really help for lesser known devs that need to prove themselves. The demo for this game is exactly what sold me on it and made me get it at launch.
Kino
If you beat the bosses with nerfs then you didn’t beat the game. Simple as that.
The nerfs were forced on me
I don’t care, learn to time travel and go back THEN when you’re done. Beat the bosses and the game properly.
Should've been there day one.
That's just life, you know? People are born differently. Don't take it personally, just blame your circumstances like all of the other slow-walking beta males.
alright give me a hint on door guardian. i have to use acid huh?
You just attack his left leg until he staggers. You'll do very little damage otherwise.
Don’t give him hints moron or he can never officially proclaim to have beaten the game
im using a wrench so yeah i can say i beat the game using this slow ass shit
You need to stagger him 2-3 times to beat him.
Easy mode: Use Aegis, hold left trigger, press left bumper constantly
Normal mode: Use grindstone for perfect parry windows and block a bunch to build up his stagger
thanks got him. didn't really need to cheat or anything. just took a bit of actually hittin the right frickin leg
i died when he fell down the second time to critical attack from his body
if you didnt play through the game with a movement sensing buttplug up your ass, you didnt beat the game.
I beat the game. Did you, Ganker?
>rise of p
>Bad ending
You die.
>Puppet ending
You live but you'll be just another puppet
>Rise of P
You live and get a blue fairy waifu to boot
In other words, you're a virgin
I'd have a rise of P too once a naked blue fairy held me in between her breasts.
5 days before you did 🙂
boobas
Holy shit chapter 11 is pure kino, love it. Actually From tier.
Literally who the frick wants to play a wizard of oz themed sequel? Why can’t they do Peter Pan or some shit. Wizard of Oz is beyond gay.
Uh me. Look at how cute P is, now picture Dorothy. Also Emerald City stage will be kino as frick
>Literally who the frick wants to play a wizard of oz themed sequel?
I do, can't fricking wait. I'm kinda concerned about your taste if that DOESN'T sound appealing to you
I'd rather play that than Lies of P if I'm being honest.
>Comfy pee threads now ruined because of insecure souls tards screeching about HOW YOU DIDNT BEAT THE GAME
Fun while it lasted I guess.
>Die a few times against scrapped watchman
>Decide to check that specter stuff
>Specter could probably easily solo the boss
What the frick. I expected a decoy that dies before I reach the second phase, not some fricking win button. Did they at least suck later in the game or do they stay win buttons? Not that I plan to ever touch them again as it seems like they skip the only reason to play the game, but beating Lies of P is hardly an achievement when you have a win button right next to the boss door. Pretty lame.
>Used a specter
Delete your save file and begin over
I was thinking the same. Its early in the game and the kill was 100% undeserved. It literally felt like cheating, I absolutely didnt expect them to be so fricking strong.
Na keep going.
You’ll take your words back on the next boss. Sometimes the spectre gets stomped and throws your game off because you’re not use to timing your dodges for a boss who’s move aren’t always directed at you.
But that said, I’d recommend not using them because it’s still cheating
I tried the specte, it is dumb and has no capability soloing.
are you playin the updated patched version? they are nice for a distraction but phase 2 they are not around much
I just lost 40k souls in the dumbest way possible, I want to kys myself kek
You can earn 40k back in like 5 minutes by going to the arcade near the merchant and killing the big guys there over and over. Using quartz to improve ergo, and wearing the ergo amulet I was getting 4k per kill.
They should have called it Pies of Lee.
I used the Scythe
Did i beat the game?
Yes, puppet ripper was one of my favorites. It's good but it's not OP or anything if that's what you're worried about.
wtf is this bullshit
use fire if you can
I ended up spamming items to clutch it. Fire didn't activate sadly
>patched game
you didn't beat it
>standing in front of the shield
>"WAHHH WHY WON'T MY ATTACKS HURT HIM WAHHHH"
How long is the game? Compared to say Dark Souls 3
Depends how good you are. I’m 16 hours in and at level 4 or 11 I think there is
Around 30 hours.
It took me around 30 hours to explore everything.
is this game inspired by gnosticism? sophia and monad in the first few seconds.
gnosticism, alchemy, freemasonry but also asimov and robocop
i just beat this black cat Black person to death felt kinda anti climactic but it is what it is. homie wanted another golden fruitcup like cmon bro you fricked me all game
after being big baby b***h blunt smasher i kinda miss the swishy blades
>want to lie because it’s in character
>it makes me skip fights
Frick me, I wish I could reload checkpoints
which fight?
the bulldog stalker you can come back down and fight it
You DID beat it 3 times before the nerfs right?
That is bullshit. I don’t think you can even sprint last all the levels in 4 hours.
That's four DAYS anon
Oh, whoops
no ive been doing other shit (playing my multimirror ts deadeye on poe)
When will Vaati post his lore video?
Never, if its not fromsoft he aint gonna make a vid about it, his tongues too deep up miyazakis bumhole to taste anything else
it's not like this game has anything of value in terms of lore, who cares
He made videos on other Souls-likes before, but it's been a while since the last one, which was Code Vein.
But I think he's too busy making ER and AC videos to bother.
There's no need, this game actually conveys its story well instead of throwing a bunch of cryptic nonsense at the player and hoping they fill in the blanks with their own headcanon.
Eh, I'm still confused about a lot of stuff and I beat the game. The devs flat-out admitted they cut some story stuff due to pacing.
>another 2 "phase" boss
guess i'll be here for a while. i love only getting like 20 seconds to learn an entirely new moveset
It's not uncommon for you to recover all the healable health from a whole attack string in 1~2 swings.
i killed the lil black cat dude. how much farther till the boss?
its annoying fighting the goo people, their parry timings are fricked up
Black Cat is about halfway. The Abbey is the biggest level in the game
god damn aight thanks.
this is nothing like previously seen
You can't parry. Learn it, simple as.
Also, my weapon is upgraded +3. Is this enough?
You have a good understanding of the first phase, you'll beat the second in no time. I saw you were greedy when you missed the first stagger, happens to the best of us. As for the second phase make sure to get behind the boss because that will make his moveset similar to the first phase with only slight variations.
+3 should definitely suffice
>As for the second phase make sure to get behind the boss because that will make his moveset similar to the first phase with only slight variations.
I should have read that earlier kek
Yep. Attacingk him from the front is too unpredictable. Make sure to watch that laser 😉
>playing video games
What is it about Lies of P that draws the best out of Ganker
>stamina bar longer than health
what the frick are you doing?
It's baffling how often they this game puts shit items in hard-to-reach places.
heres a cluster grenade for your troubles 🙂
Why the frick is the big important and ancestral headquarters of the Alchemists filled with slum-like wooden constructions? I'm baffled there wasn't a high-tech lab or something similar anywhere in the Abbey.
Where's the merchant who wants the frozen sword
Found it but now he's telling me to piss off
Need to equip it
Abandoned apartment, cross the sign, stay left and ignore the shortcut, left across a rock bridge, right then a left into an alley area. Hes up the stairs
I cant even get one stray r1 in on laxasia phase 2 even with parries. i dont get it at all.
>Be a weeb
>Get GLORIOUS NIPPON STEEL towards the end of the game
>Most DEX weapons are trash
>Rapier is unironically the best DEX weapon next to katana
I literally only used primarily the Rapier for the majority of the game until I got the katana. The sad part is that your damage severely falls off later on with the Rapier. I had it at +6 with A rank scaling, and it did hardly nothing. STR weapons hit hard but I don't like the slow swing speed, plus I suck ass at perfect parrying.
Funny enough if you get the Wrench to like +6 with A rank scaling it does like 400 damage or some shit. I really don't know what the top weapons in the game are in terms of damage, I'm sure the boss weapons are the best if you scale them up to S rank and max them out.
police baton is nice
Isn't that a STR weapon? It scales more with motivity than technique. I never really used the weapon assemble because I thought it was moronic and made the weapons look goofy.
oh you want a dex weapon
well baton is the fastest scaling str weapon outside boss shit
She wasn't too bad as a strchad. If she opened with the lunge attack it gave me a free charged R2 on her back which breaks her shield (not entirely sure what this does think it just gives a small window for damage). Also buffing with fire on her first phase is best because she jumps around so much in phase 2 and you can shred phase 1 much faster.
Whenhow do you conclude the alidoro eugenie plotline if you don't attack him?
Yo, wtf. Why is the checkpoint to the acrhbisop so far away?
You must have missed a shortcut, pretty sure there is a gate you open that connects the checkpoint literally right near the boss entrance to the bishop fight.
Is this actually a good game or will it be lost in the sea of "just another forgettable souls clone" a few years from now?
From what little I've seen it seems like a direct clone rather than just inspired. But with more of an emphasis on shitty jump scares and less emphasis on roll spams instead encouraging perfect blocks.
None of the bosses I've seen looked super engaging or fun so far either and I don't want to spoil too much.
nah it is good. I've had my finger on the pulse of souls clones, this one is a legit banger
nah its good
code vein, surge1&2, lords of the fallen, steel rising, to some extent darksiders 3, mortal shell, woohoolooo are all bootleg but this feels legit to play.
nioh i dont count since it feels more of its own thing
by far the best souls-like, actually stands head and shoulders over the other garbage
it's unironically the best non-Fromsoft soulslike game imo. I don't count the Nioh games as soulslikes btw, those are their own thing
What's the best boss weapon in your opinion and why
>Boss literally wields a fricking Buster Sword
>Can move at lightning speed
>Perform a heavy multi-hit combo in quick succession
>Auto-tracking
Unironically a garbage ass fight.
just break his weapon moron, makes the fight piss easy
>Just break the weapon bro
>Been out for a week
I have a day job and I take my time playing games like this, we didn't all just rush through it and beat it in 10 hours.
There are perks that buffs weapons damage by 50% when at max durability and another that repairs inactive weapons. You can use this to setup pocket nukes
Break his sword and he becomes a joke.
Sweet. Thanks
I'll throw it on the list and snag it whenever its on discount since I'm a poorshitter
First tried laxative first phase then got insta rekt kek
I have no idea what is going on in her second phase and barely touched her even with 9 estus
Parrying her lightning bolts sends it back to her and she keeps rushing you down so just be patient and look for openings.
Laxative is like the only hard boss now post-patch.
First phase is easy
Got halfway through second phase now, starting to get it but I have to stop for today ahhh
Okay can someone help me? I am really struggling with the Black Rabbits, but I don't want to resort to cheese. I'm able to sit down and learn bosses and eventually overcome but I really struggle with gank fights.
Learn how to parry the big guy while he's still alone, you'll break his weapon and make him useless
Then backstab the little ones
black rabbit 1 or 2?
I'm assuming 1, there are a few strats you can use.
>break the eldest rabbit's weapon early in the fight before the smol one joins, makes the fight much easier
>abuse backstabs and throwables to get rid of the other rabbits when they come in. Spearbro is the easiest to backstab, the other two are easy to hit with throwables
>use the fire grinder to deal with the big boy, and/or any acid canisters or legion arm if you have it to help with the destruction damage of his weapon
>when the other rabbits are on the field helping, big bro just rp walks slowly towards you or screams to telegraph the running slash.
In chapter 5? Or the rematch?
If it’s the first fight just focus on perfect blocking Eldest’s attacks until you break his sword. He does WAY less damage. And you can mitigate dealing with the others by taking them out as they join the fight. One will jump in at a certain health threshold on Eldest. You can avoid the final guy with the sword and grapple arm because he’s the last to join and the fight ends immediately when you beat Eldest. I think people only find this fight hard because they wail on Eldest Brother so hard early on and then end up getting jumped by everyone when it’s easy to control the flow of the fight by being patient
nice glasses gay
how do you get them?
>break laxasia's sword in phase 1
>instantly takes you to phase 2
>mfw it actually worked
definitely not worth the hassle, but it's a nice touch
>First souls game
Beat Simon in 3 goes
Beat swampy boy in 10 trys pre patch
>didn't specify Simon was pre-patch
You didn't beat Simon.
I actually meant romeo. Xbox won't get the patch for a week
what weapon level are folks at when they reach king of puppets? i think i've been hoarding too much, mine is only +5.
How far am I? I just started the Lorenzini Arcade.
half way
About 70% of the way. Last few chapters are long.
50ish percent of the way through
Romeo's the halfway point.
I was up whole night, but I did it. I got 1000/1000 G before the big nerf patch.
Kind of impressive you platinumed the game so quickly given all the things you have to do to platinum it.
I mean when you're unemployed, I guess it's easy, right?
Akshually I do work, but from 14h (or 2PM, if you prefer that).
I didn't work on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday tho.
>the easy mode meme is real
It’s elden ring all over again
Please stop fricking crying over how difficult souls game are
I’m tired of the genre being neutered so the diaper legions can play the game too
babies will never stop crying
the issue is devs capitulating to babies over and over
God damn that’s also true
For frick sake this industry gets worse and worse by the day
If only soul-devs were competent and could implement a difficulty mode, like everyone else in the industry.
Or, maybe, you could recognize a game is too difficult for you and move the frick on instead of deciding to die on the hill you weren’t invited to
What are some good handles for str blades?
cant even get a tap in with my saber. what an
annoying unfun boss
frick those stupid fricking game
>DRM
no thanks
>the more human P is the less his idle animations has him twitching like a robot.
Since it's a Pinocchio game, does it have the whale?
Tips for Fuoco?
Stand behind the pillars when he pisses out his fire attack. Dodge the missle attack and parry his melee attacks. He's a test.
Reduce his HP to zero.
Don't feel bad, I feel like he's the first real filter boss in the game. I struggled with him for a bit before finally killing him. If you use the Specter that can help a lot, but if you're not using him then it'll take longer to kill him.
Dodge or parry, he has high damage specifically to frick with blocks.
How do you bait out the easy laxasia attacks?
First or second phase? First phase is relatively easy. Second phase you should parry every lightning bolt, that should get you pretty far.
How do you bait out the lightning attacks though? Those are free, the rest of the boss sucks
yo is that john bloodborne?
Nah nameless puppet is absolute dog shit. Whoever made that boss should unironically quit designing games and go bankrupt. If the game wasn't focused on L1 timing and delayed attacks out the ass it'd be fine. But it's totally counter intuitive. They added a sekiro boss but without the ease of sekiro blocking. Gay asiatic boss muddying a perfectly good game. It's a good thing all the endings are shit so it wasn't worth killing him.
I barely parried nameless and I beat it in just a few tries. I dunno how some people found it harder than Simon pre-nerf.
Nameless Puppet isn't that bad, the long sword attacks are easy to parry since they have obvious wind ups, dual sword attacks are a bit hard to parry consistently, but you can just block them and attack him once he's done his combo to regain your health, spear attack is kind of bullshit though, since the stab into laser shot was very hard for me to dodge because I couldn't get the timing right.
anyone got a list of where to use all your emotes? shit like rememberance seems like its used for something, and the ded alchemist mummy in the abbey seems like something to use whatever on
pvp
Wtf is the point of the cube? It does barely any healing and takes for ever to activate. Also wtf is the point of the grinder buffs? They last for 2 seconds it’s not worth the effort. This game keeps introducing pointless mechanics.
cube is mostly buffs for >summons or the lame healing as a last resort
grinder buffs duration can be extended in the upgrade tree, they're actually super useful
Cube is shit, but grinder buffs are extremely strong if you use a bosses weakness, you can improve their uptime with quartz too
Grinder buffs adds a nice bit of damage if you match the enemy's weakness. It's also very important against a late game boss that wears heavy armor which halves your physical damage.
still amazed with the amount of souls gimmicks they just straight up copy paste
yeah Im not feeling the stagger "buff" at all. but at least the one boss that journalists complained about has less HP now so you're less prepared for the future hp sponges
So basically Paracelcus brought the arm of god to Krat for shits and giggles?
It's weird how there seems to be a MacGuffin switcheroo throughout the game that the player is unaware of. From what I get:
>Paracelsus brought the God Arm to the Alchemists.
>Cecile stole the arm for the bishop.
>Geppeto somehow got it from the bishop.
>Manus stole it back from Geppeto thanks to P.
Like, I don't see how this changes anything. They could just say "Manus had it" and nothing would change
is there a resource for all +1 and +2 amulets yet?
the armor ones are always right in their usual spots, but the amulets seem random
whats the point of giving you the +1 of gear in early game of ng+ when your late game gear from ng is still way better than the +1 shit?
i guess if you want lower weight
>level 4
>urionically lost $7k worth of ergo just from falling off of the level
laxative the craplete took me 2 fricking hours. Im guessing it only gets worse from here
Next boss was nerfed and the boss after that (assuming you're going to be a real boy) was intense but a lot more fair than either IMO
Nah the worst is over lad, manus is easy and nameless is fairly easy too but I did abuse aegis on him
She's probably the most bullshit unfair boss in the game, the remaining are nowhere near as bad.
I tanked Nameless on NG++ with Aegis.
Tanked. Not cheating with that glitch.
i cant even figure out the glitch. maybe im not tapping fast enough
why didn't you just do this?
You are annoying. Stop posting his vids.
suck my ass homosexual
Only if you are Thai ladyboy.
If not, have sex with an elephant.
ok, i guess i have to kill sophia. is this the bad ending?
She dies no matter what. But you get to kill her gently, or she dies alone in agony.
The game is very railroaded, your choices don't matter
I don't know how you can reach that point and actually think it's framing putting her out of his misery as a bad thing lmao. Sometimes I wonder about people who can't grasp anything but black and white.
I bet the ending where Geppetto mocks you for still being a stupid puppet even at the end was a dig against those people.
>The devs flat-out admitted they cut some story stuff due to pacing.
Interesting. I assume it's probably stuff with Romeo since that a lot of that is kind of wonky and confusing. Like why was Romeo revived by Geppetto? I get the robots were attacking humans infected with the disease in an effort to stop them from reviving / becoming monsters but like why did they attack P?
bros... finding belle's lover, glad i didn't kill him immediatwly lmao
Am I beating the game if I use boss amulets?
>all the way in ng++ and the game STILL showing me new shit
cool
you will not beat the game
thats like, unlockin cheat codes after beating a game.
nothing looks good with the long hair, wtf were they thinking?
The OST is not really memorable. Only Fuoco, Black Rabbit Brotherhood and King of Puppet themes stand out.
That broken french song too, I guess.
If there's an area the game should've deviated from the souls games it's the music and they missed an opportunity to do so. Game still has soul but you I would have loved the soundtrack to be closer in feel to the songs you could listen to with the gramophone.
Bro Souls games have some of the most unmemorable music in gaming outside a few tracks
>f there's an area the game should've deviated from the souls games
forgot archbishop phase 2
Black rabbit rematch is way harder than the first idk wtf you Black folk were smoking
took me a bit but for some reason big bro felt easier to deal with.
i was using the pipe wrench head and handle so i dunno kinda forced to perfect guard a lot of it
also to add, the guard fable on the pipe handle is frickin goated
Nah, the siblings mostly attack one at a time with the sibling with the buffed weapon leading the attack so it's not as messy as it looks. The eldest also only comes out when there's only 1 sibling left, so if you distribute the damage you can kill off the 3rd shortly after the 2nd leaving only the eldest to solo you. If by that point you still have trouble with 1v1 fights, Laxasia going to be a much bigger problem.
Also, the siblings are easily staggered, I could do it every hit with a city longspear charge attack with a tyrant dagger head.
suddenly something to do at isa bell street?
im so lost
go to the small bridge next the area where you fight the first mad clown puppet
>Unlock upgrades
>when you pick upgrades you also pick some other bonus
>"Lower Damage while Dodging"
I thought you didn't take damage while dodging?
it means if you get hit because you failed the dodge timing
How long before/after is this?
I don't know the specifics but I assume the entire dodge animation
You can still get hit by glowing red attacks. I never took that upgraded but I assume maybe you get a bit of a defense buffer before and after the actual I-frames of the dodge. There’s a lot more useful upgrades though unless you’re really hard focusing on buffing dodge any way possible
THIS IS BULLSHIT FRICK THE ARCHBISHOP
and just like that btfo that Black person
who's laughing now
who's your god
die die die die die die die die die
good shit my man
jesus fricking christ does this fricking fat clown piece of shit ever stop attacking
Whats your most embarrassing moment Ganker?
>Died 20 times to future puppet
>Kiled black rabbit boss with 0 deaths and KOP in 10.
>fighting Fallen Archbishop Andreus
>after maybe 10 tries he’s almost dead
>out of heals and on my last leg
>oh! I’ve got the cube! I can use that to heal
>first time ever using it because I only have the one stone
>didn’t realize it takes 10 fricking seconds or something activate
>Andreus whomps my ass while I’m standing there like a dipshit holding my hovering cube
Beat him on the next try at least
lmao same thing happened to me with my first cube use.
Frick that cube
I want outfits of the Black Rabbit Brotherhood, I wanna dress like the Eldest or the Battle Maniac.
any sales figures for this shit? wanna know if we'll get dlc
the last area is so bad. just elite mob spam. everywhere. pleaes just spam me with bosses and let it be over. frick
It felt exhausting but I think that was the point. They nailed that feeling of "man I wish I could find the next stargazer and quick"
>green Black person
Another fakeout boss. If the game isn't gonna play honest, neither will i. Specter it is.
>Playing game with my baton handle wrench head combo because i like big damage and its fast enough
>Also the fable arts combo is hysterical, reminds me of doing charged r2s with the stake driver in Bloodborne, my favorite thing
>Switch off during the black rabbit brotherhood fight because i literally couldnt hit him at times due to how dogshit the range on this combo is
>try out bonesaw handle and booster glaive blade for some range an ok fable art and another generic strength weapon with range and sweeps because i was kind of missing that
>fight puppet king for 2 hours
>go to bed
>wake up
>hmm i kind of miss using the baton and wrench lemme try it again
>great damage, speed, and stagger, feel much better
>get to second phase
>stagger him while he's electrocuted for more damage
>my time has come
>pop the handle buff and then hit him with a fully charged patient smash
>instant kill on my second attempt today
I didn't beat the game(tm), but boy if it isn't fricking hilarious.
good ol batonwrench
is the green stargazer for DLC?
what could the green bird be representing?
If it's not saved for the sequel: Emerald City.
Elden Ring ruined soulslikes.
>completely unintuitive enemy movesets that you have to trial and error your way through instead of reacting naturally like you should be able to
>zero wind up combos that microstagger you on every hit so if the first one lands you eat the whole combo
>basically no windows to attack, heavy weapon users can get one swing in one every 20 seconds maybe
>bosses becoming nimble as frick and evading everything you do as soon as it is time to stagger them
Frick green Black person. Punch whoever designed it.
>every little single thing microstaggers you so you can't dodge the next thing
>what should be an opening for a heavy attack to stun is just a fakeout that damages you severely
Katana seems extremely busted in the new patch, not only does it parry but staggering enemies with it seems easy.
