Can't speak for Maria since I've never played Bloodborne but Malenia was fricking terrible.
That being said, Laxane is fun, if only she didn't become fricking Sonic the Hedgehog during Phase 2.
I feel like these games are evolving in the worng way to be honest.
Can you not watch a game and get the feel for it listening to the sound design and watching gameplay. Why the frick would you ask someone for Ganker their opinion?
Live Puppet Axe blade + Pickaxe handle is so good and hits way harder than the Bonesaw + Pickable handle but holy shit it blocks the screen way too much against small enemies.
Games like this are created by souls fanboys rather than people who truly grasp the intricacies of game design that made dark souls good.
So it only makes sense that the only people that could enjoy this garbage are soulsgays who themselves don't understand what made souls good. >fight hard >me try over and over >me finally win >*dopamine release* >"uhhhhhh is this the best game ever???"
>who themselves don't understand what made souls good
Beating hard challenges is one of the most important things. Souls formula doesnt work if there isnt a really tough motherfricker to beat at the end of the level. Lore, exploration etc. is nice, but at the end of the day its the fluff, and the boss fight is the meat of the dish.
Seems like u dont understand why people like those games, anon. Its ok, theres a lot of self proclaimed game design experts these days
>Souls formula doesnt work if there isnt a really tough motherfricker to beat at the end of the level.
This formula was literally pioneered by a game where most of the bosses were glorified set pieces, and then continued in Dark Souls where, again, most of the bosses are complete pushovers. It's only in recent years that Fromsoft started focusing on bosses to the detriment of level design, but the "formula" had become popular long before that point.
>Souls formula doesnt work if there isnt a really tough motherfricker to beat at the end of the level.
Hey secondary, believe it or not but Dark Souls 3 isn't "the souls formula", there are actually three other souls games that have a larger focus on dungeon crawling and exploration.
Yeah, and Demons Souls is widely considered to be the worst game in the series whos main achievement was being a prototype leading to Dark Souls - where they dropped the experimental stuff that didnt work out, like annoying runups to the bosses, puzzle bosses etc., and focused on proper boss fights like O&S, Artorias, Manus and so on
Idk where this idea is coming from that Souls is about "dungeon crawling", but its simply not true - levels are setups for the boss fights.
hes making fun of you because you said that DeS dropped boss runs and then immediately positively noted O and S, Artorias, and Manus, all of whom have frick huge boss runs.
>his formula was literally pioneered by a game where most of the bosses were glorified set pieces
The thing about Demon's Souls is that the levels were long with no bonfire checkpoints at all, so you had to complete the entire level to get back to the boss if you died. There were only few shortcuts, if any at all, for each level.
DeS bosses were pretty different and varied too instead of just all being le ebin rival dodge roll flip knight fight

Bloodborne perfected the Souls formula while Sekiro deviated way too much from it to the point it is barely a soulsborne.
Bloodborne still has dungeon crawling in the form of the chalice dungeons and some small exploration without being too obnoxious about it, but the game shines because of map design, enemy design, side quests and boss design.
It also adds parrying which is way more fun than shields.
Better than Malenia.
Better than Maria.
Can't speak for Maria cause I'm a PC only, but she's definitely more fun than Malenia.
maria is a shit fight thats just like the stalker fights in this game
Maria is a great fight if you're bad at parrying and a fun fight if you're good at parrying.
Can't speak for Maria since I've never played Bloodborne but Malenia was fricking terrible.

>if only she didn't become fricking Sonic the Hedgehog during Phase 2
yeah, I'm having a hard time finding windows to get some damage in
Maria is extremely overrated to be honest, she's way too easy to bully to death with parries. Both Laxasia and Nameless Puppet are better fights.
Beat Malenia third try with Rivers of Blood.
Beat Maria first try because she was piss easy.
I haven't got by Circus mane yet, his second phase gets me all the time.
Which one
If Simon would have we wouldn't be in this problem
Too bad Simon only wanted butterfly pussy.
nice ass tho
Is this game fun?
Yes
If you like Bloodborne and Sekiro it's just more of those kind of fused together.
yes.
Yes
Can you not watch a game and get the feel for it listening to the sound design and watching gameplay. Why the frick would you ask someone for Ganker their opinion?
It's okay.
Don't mind if I do
didnt beat the game
Why is it so good? Even in the demo people were calling it the best weapon.
High str scaling for an early weapon and makes any weapon low commitment and good at stagger
Honestly I did not mess with weapon assembly much after the early game, I pretty much used the fully assembled Booster Glaive or the Katana.
>Katana
You didn't beat it
>thinks the katana is OP
You didn't even play the game.
it's literally the best weapon in the game
not that guy but the parry window is frickhuge and fricks up attacks really hard
Too short range and stopping halfway through a swing looks silly on bladed weapons. For me, it's the axe handle.
Live Puppet Axe blade + Pickaxe handle is so good and hits way harder than the Bonesaw + Pickable handle but holy shit it blocks the screen way too much against small enemies.
For me, it's the mjolnir pickaxe
Apparently I fricking missed Belle in this playthrough.
Is Lasaxia a human or a corpse?
A mutant, infected with petrification disease, and then ''cured''
shit fetishes
yeah, I'm asking for enemy classification to know which talisman to equip, I get the lore.
I don't know, I used fire.
human, weak to acid
that did the trick. thanks, anon.

lol, you were a bit too obvious with this one but I'll admit, you got me.
?

Hm, that looks like some good coom. Is there good (straight) coom in this game? Does it follow in From's barefootsteps?
If you used any sort of consumable, throwable object, status grindstone or abrasive, you didn't beat the game.

I want to protect that smile
the hell is that? where's the giga lightning sword?
Romeo sounds hot
