If it's bad, someone should post "It's Lots of Pee". I will then delete this post.

As usual, for the first year or so Ganker will say it's shit even though they all played and enjoyed it. After a year there will be comfy threads about how cool it was. This is the cycle with every good game: see Witcher 3, Elden Ring, currently Diablo 4.

I beat the first boss, played a bit more of the Hotel level and got bored. Demo was long but it had like 3 types of enemies and every encounter was the same. Puppet, dog puppet, big puppet. Over and over. Feels like a worse Bloodborne but still one of the better clones, I guess. Pretty linear too.

Enemy variety didn't feel that bad, but the areas being linear hallways certainly did. I can only hope that there are more open, complexly designed areas in the full game.

How cute are his moans when he takes damage?

    pretty good
hope the parry is not so punishing at release, or at least not tied to framerate

How the heck are you supposed to deal with these dudes? The ones right before the boss always make me waste at least a heal

block? or just run to the boss

When it's two of them it's impossible to properly block since they don't stop attacking for a second
But if you try attacking they parry the hit and strike you back before your animation is over and you can parry them

      just run past them

it's a decent soulseborne clone but the mechanics feel a bit off, the game wants you to focus on blocking but the timing window is weird and awkard, also many instances of character getting stuck in boss or enemy model, obviously a demo so hopefully the bugs get fixed, not a day 1 buy for me, but i will throw $20 at it during a sale
p.s. appreciate the studio actually releasing a real demo with two bosses, rare these days

I'm old, and perfect blocking makes me want to die. Dodging feels like asscheeks, but I hope the skills we can learn will eventually make it much better.

Even without the upgrades, light weight dodge feels pretty decent. Though you have to take off your starting equipment in order to get it.

it controls and plays really well but i frickin hate the aesthetic

also can't create your own main character, it's some homosexual twink boy

It's 8/10 but it's so derivative. Yeah ok be a souls clone but you don't have to copy fricking everything lmao

Really don't like playing as a twink and the costumes I found just made him look more and more effeminate. I bet end game outfits just straight up makes him a girl.

Can you use the bosses' ergo for anything other than easy 5k? Or can you transmute them later on?

      Anonymous

the item description implies you can transmute later for something but in the demo i just used it to gain levels

I just started playing it right now.
Combat is okay, but I really wish I could dodge more than half a centimeter. Blocking seems like always a bad idea thanks to chip damage, too. The window for perfect blocking seems way too strict especially with the erratic movements and wildly varying attack startup times every enemy has.

      Anonymous

you can heal that chip damage if you attack right after blocking, in case you didn't know

i noticed they copied this mechanic from bloodborne to encourage aggression but the execution is not as responsive as bloodborne from taking a hit or blocking to immediately attacking

Also, of all the stupid shit to copy from souls games, did they need to copy the 60 second long uncancelable animation of utter fricking bewilderment when you accidentally try to use an item you have 0 of? For frick's sake, I got that I don't have any in the first half second of the animation.

you can heal that chip damage if you attack right after blocking, in case you didn't know

You also lose all of the part you can heal instantly if you get hit again.

Dodging is fine because it keeps enemies in range of your weapons and has enough i-frames that it does it's job anyway.
I prefer it to slow ass Souls rolling

There's a yellow chip of health that appears after blocking that you can get back if you deal damage repeatedly. It's literally a bloodborne mechanic but only apply to blocking.

I had fun and thought mixing the handles and blades was pretty cool, so you could take a moveset and fiddle with it.
Didn’t like the perfect block and the grappling hook felt pretty bad.
Also the bosses had too much health

    Enjoyed it.
This guy was a prick to kill though.
Perfect Guard can be a bit hard to pull off with timing.
The arms idea is cool, but I found the base one you get to be the most useful.

feels badly designed, boss runs are annoying, too many attacks that even if blocked have such a short recovery time you'll get hit again immediately after, lots of janky hitboxes. part of it feels like them going way to hard on the 'le epik gaymer hardest gaym evuh!!!' shit every souls game and souls clone falls into and part of it just feels like its poorly made.
its still funner than most souls bootlegs, I just hope they clean it up a little more. puppet homosexual needs more porn.

Perfect block feels like it needs a few more frames at the beginning, and also it should cancel attacks a few frames sooner.
Sekiro had more lenient timings on top of resurrections, so learning when to parry wasn't as harsh as it is in Lies of P. Some enemy attacks being instant doesn't help either.
The rest of it was good.

I had a lot of fun, I beat the whole thing. I didn't know anything about it before playing. I thought the fable meter could charge faster, the reward you get for charging it is so low for how long it takes, it barely becomes a factor. The only time I used the Fable block was on the final boss of the demo. I think having to sharpen your weapon mid combat is really neat but it's only really interesting during bosses since the fight lasts so long that you must find a window to do it. Outside of a boss fight it might as well just not exist. Dodging has a TON of i-frames, really generous but I appreciate that since perfect blocking is kinda tight. The 2nd boss was so fricking annoying because his windups all vary from really fast to soooo slow, I eventually just cheesed him by luring enemies into the arena to get free backstabbing on him while they drew aggro. I really like the grapple arm upgrade but I was disappointed to find that it doesn't work on anything bigger than normal human sized, wish it had some sort of use in a boss fight. The final boss of the demo was really fun. Took me a lot of tries but his patterns were really obvious and satisfying to learn and helped me really practice on how to perfect block. That boss was probably the most satisfying and fun boss I've fought in a video game in a long time, I'm really impressed by everything but ultimately I still think it's a game I'm gonna get on sale cause it's releasing so close to so many other games and it's just kind of a weird choice to tie this into Pinocchio. I don't think it needs the Pinocchio theme to work at all. Also not sure I would say it's a problem, but it's sooooo much like soulsborne that it hurts, I swear they straight up lifted certain animations from bloodborne. But overall I think the game plays, feels, and looks better than it has any right to be as some random fricking Korean game
