If anything, I wish the game took less from Fromsoft in some things and more in others. Game is a complete copy down to things that should not be there.
>the fricking animation for when you push the Use item button when you're out of items is the same as the souls games for no reason at all
come on guys just make the puppet do it's own thing, this is ridiculous.
Holy shit lol, so they weren't kidding, this game is straight up a Bloodborne ripoff through and through, bummer, i wanted an edgy fairytale like the American McGee's Alice games
Honestly I'm fine with that.
The demo has such great art design for the world but I hate the robot enemies.
More organic stuff like aliens is a good idea.
It plays nothing like Sekiro. There is no stamina bar for enemies, the only way you would know that the enemy is close to staggering is their healthbar starts glowing but not always? And in the end, you deal about the same damage as you would in Souls after the stagger, not taking an entire healthbar like in Sekiro. The game has identity crisis and it doesn't know what it wants the player to do.
Why would I block when I can just dodge? Which is shit at the start and I guess becomes decent after an upgrade but I wouldn't know because I spent my upgrade points for estus and you don't get any more in the demo. Why do enemies get their regeneration mechanic for free, while I have to block for it and then deal damage to them? Why the only way to stop them from regenerating is to do a stagger finisher, which requires either multiple charged attack (like 10) or start doing parries, which will result in them regenerating? Why none of them fricking stagger from charged attacks? Why most of them stagger sometimes from normal attacks? What's the fricking point of YTriangle attack on greatsword equivalent when it deals less damage than normal R1?
And if I start asking questions about things that they dragged from Souls for no reason the I would hit like two post limit.
The dodge is shit and barely covers distance, israelite 1/3 of a BB dash.
You can however upgrade it on a skill tree you get to access at the end of a demo.
So a BB style dash spam build might be possible, but not in the early game.
There's stamina/posture for the enemies, you just can't see it till they're close to breaking, then you see their HP bar with a cracked effect on it, but you need to do a fully charged R2 to actually break them and get a visceral.
Perfect blocks get enemy posture broken and then you can riposte them, and also don't consume stamina or do chip damage.
And similar to BB you can rally back HP, so even basic blocking is usefull as long as you're not taking huge chip damage, far more than you can rally.
It's a miniboss that doesn't reapawn, there's a few of them in the demo, alongside 3 full bosses with health bars on the bottom of the screen.
Regular enemies die in 4-5 hits from a small weapon or 2-3 from a claymore.
I don't care about lies of piss and it's very strange seeing you shilling it constantly despite being thoroughly mediocre even by souls-like standards.
I'm kind of sick and tired of the Dark Souls formula with how much its getting milked, not only by Fromshite itself, but by third party devs trying to cash in as well.
I get it, it's japanese FIFA, it's le heckin epic and white-people-hard, and streamies love it, can we move on already?
this game makes me appreciate stuff like Fallen Order and Lords of the Fallen a lot more because they manage to create a different experience that feels like its own thing despite obviously using some Souls tropes
Lies of P just copies Fromsoft's homework in every single detail it ends up having nothing of its own
How much more does fromsoft need to actually sue them?
kek this is sad fromdrone. Just off yourself.
He is literally right
Less than the owners of Guts would need to sue from.
If anyone needs to be sued it's fromsoft.
Fromsoft does not own the rights to the concept of aliens. Let alone in a dark fantasy setting.
Any examples? I'm not saying From invented the concept, i just find the concept cool
Lovecraft.
Well obviously, but besides that
Vampire Hunter D. Which massively inspired a ton of the aesthetics that From keeps using, alongside Berserk.
Lovecraft, berserk and much more
The hell? Berserk has aliens?
majora's mask
Warhammer Fantasy, the lizardmen are explicitly stated to be made by aliens
If anything, I wish the game took less from Fromsoft in some things and more in others. Game is a complete copy down to things that should not be there.
This game made me appreciate The Surge way more
>surge
it's five bucks on keyshops btw
>the fricking animation for when you push the Use item button when you're out of items is the same as the souls games for no reason at all

Did you not see the bodies in the alleyways in the last 1/3 of the demo?
>Bonefire is called "stargazer"
Cmon now, it was obvious
Lovecraftbros, we're going home.
i think the alchemists are messing with fae magic
So this shit is just going all in on being a blatant BB clone huh?
>5 of the games at summer game fest were souls like
FROM is literally almost as influential as DOOM at this point.
Yeah it makes me feel bad. I'm working on a Souls-like and I feel like I missed the boat on the whole thing
make it first person so it can be a kings field like instead
The good part of being late to the boat is seeing all the other imitators and where they went wrong.
unfortunately
Don't worry, games with casual button mashing based combat aren't going anywhere, they're still a big hit with zoomers, see Zelda: TikTok.
>casual
elden bing sold 20 million copies and is played by every twitch prostitute on the platform lmao
even worse than a pic of a twitter Black person
Honestly I'm fine with that.

Reminder that this looks 1:1 like BB but it plays like Sekiro with a bigger focus on perfect parries and blocks.
So other than the basic idea of blocking, which sekiro didn't invent, how is it a sekiro clone?
It plays nothing like Sekiro. There is no stamina bar for enemies, the only way you would know that the enemy is close to staggering is their healthbar starts glowing but not always? yes it does, learn to block, or upgrade your dodge
Why would I block when I can just dodge? blocking and especially perfect blocking, builds up enemy groggy and enemy weapon break
The dodge is shit and barely covers distance, israelite 1/3 of a BB dash.

I don’t remember BloodBorne having automatons or weird futuristic tech in general.
I hope this is a boss or the character is lvl 1 at an endgame area because imagine ONE mob taking more than a minute to kill.
It's one of the red eyes hard mobs of the game, at least inb the demo they don't respawn when killed.
And this one is actuallya titorial on parry.
I have not killed thios one yet, but I did kill the donkey head.
It's a miniboss that doesn't reapawn, there's a few of them in the demo, alongside 3 full bosses with health bars on the bottom of the screen.

It really doesn't look that much like Bloodborne honestly.
It's about 75-100 years ahead of Bloodborne even discounting the sci-fi elements.
>Korean
Ain't touching it
>Boss gets staggered for a riposte
>Game has a thing to let you know where to stand
I thought that's pretty neat
It's like the yellow sparks in Elden Ring, but a bit more ham-fisted.
I lied both times I could. What happens if you don't?
What happens if the timer runs out?
you wanna become a real boy or not?
I predict that the ending will reveal that the entire game was a lie told by Pinocchio.
KINO
I don't care about lies of piss and it's very strange seeing you shilling it constantly despite being thoroughly mediocre even by souls-like standards.
Does the MC have porn? he's cute
