Diablo loot is so fricking bad. The fact that they had to put in an auto sell function for Wo Long tells you enough. They expect you to be spammed with rainbow vomit after every level. People can hate on Fromsoft's games but they did the loot right. I want to focus on the combat and everything else, not play a spreadsheet where I have to compare every little stat and worry about rarity like a shitty offline MMO. It doesn't help Team Ninja games are so backloaded that most people just get burned out just trying to reach the cool stuff at the end. Seriously you need to go through 3 NG in Wo Long just to reach the end game content and change out skills on your weapons. That's right, a fricking basic feature is locked until you already beaten the game 3 times.
It's even worse because all that level cap increase and end game content is DLC2 only. So not only did they put a basic mechanic Nioh had from the start behind multiple NGs, it's behind a fricking paywall. You need to get to NG+++ to increase the level cap btw
Nioh 2 was great and its more "gamey" than souls games with the way the levels and gear are done. I really wanted to love it but after getting to a cirtain level the combos of swapping stances and all the move sets filtered me. I probably could have easily just ignored the combos but it made me feel like i was missing out. I wish it was easier to swap stances, maybe mouse and keyboard is better?

Stack Toughness from heavier armour which reduces the amount of Ki you lose for blocking or getting hit. Nioh make it easy to brute force things with the RPG system and definitely doesn't like you being Light weight early. The game is not hard unless you make it hard.
yeah honestly this is the problem for me too. I can handle the difficulty and I'm pretty far in, but it's tuned to a point where it's just exhausting after a while. It's such a shame too because I really enjoy the game. Just wish some levels weren't so ball bustingly difficult.
Nioh is a number game disguised as an action game. The higher your numbers the more fun and easier it is on you, which makes starting from 0 absolutely brutal. Number go up = fun go up, it's less about the action at its core and more about big numbers.
Nioh's core gameplay and transmog system are great. Literally everything else is shit. Tiered loot, color-coded white->green->blue->purple->orange? Shit. Labyrinthine gear perk system, but drops are all random? Shit. Burn high level materials on gatcha rolls for the CHANCE at a high level weapon? Shit.
Story? Shit.
Mission based structure? Kinda shit.

Nioh is bad. I wanted it to be good. But it just isnt. The souls formula doesnt lend itself to random rpg number drops well.
Nioh 2 and Lies of P are 2 of the only soulsclones I would say are on par with the actual Souls games.
I love Jack's game but it's not a soulsclone, it's just a regular action RPG.
look man, I love Lies of P. It's better than most souls games even, like, chef's fricking kiss good. But comparing it to Nioh 2? That game is on a league it's own. It's action RPG gameplay perfected. No other action rpg has gameplay as smooth as extensive as that game.
Eh, it's smooth but I don't think they designed the progression system of moves/gear, balancing of those moves/gear/weapons, or enemies particularly well compared to something that is much more straightforward like Lies of P or some Souls games.
And when you know any of the many ways that break the game in Nioh/Nioh 2, it's like cursed knowledge. You have to go out of your way to not use them, else most encounters just get so fricked by you in such a casual way that they may as well be a training dummy. Even playing extremely laidback, just reducing ki then activating living weapon mode when they're depleted is as fricked up in how much it chunks even a boss to nothing that it's more of a game changer than summoning in a Souls game, and that is a fundamental game mechanic.
Nioh fricking sucks, enjoy sorting through 10 million pieces of shitty loot and dealing with 100 levels that are so boring and repetitive. I would never consider Nihao 1 or 2 a soulslike, if anything they are just Ninja Gayden with Diablo mixed in, barely any souls elements.

I've been using rapier for coil, and salamander as is. But I've only put a few points in Adv., dex was my main stat. I stopped using both after about a third of the game, and just switched to single use abrasives.

The moment you get an advance crank, slap it on the Police Baton and equip that to the coil. That's the combo I enjoy the most. For the salamander dagger, I quite like how it pairs with the booster glaive. Give that a shot when you can.
advance weapon work best on salamander handle. Then only use r2 to keep slash dmg fine or ignore dmg type mismatch because most of you dmg is elemental anyway. Salamander has fastest cr2 and very good r2, it carried my fast playthrough.
I put it on the salamander dagger handle and just used the R2. It's surprisingly versatile. Went through the whole game with that dagger handle and the fire dagger blade, electric coil head, and the acid spear head, just switching as appropriate.
I'd love it to be about the Monad Charity House. It would help tie up some loose ends if we were able to travel there and find out more about the legendary Stalker, Gemini, Carlo and Romeo. Also given Sophia's connection to the house, and Medoro also mentions her as a friend, maybe we'd get more information on them too.
Gotta post it until it's implemented. The devs have already proven that they're smart about the health of the game with the first round of nerfs. They will do so again.

I really hope they don't nerf the green monster, he's easily one of the best bosses in the game and way better designed than a lot of the other ones to the point where he feels like a Sekiro boss more than most of the others do. Almost all his attacks in both forms have hard counters that let you avoid them easily or punish him, his first form doesn't have that much HP and isn't a slog to get through and he's the only real challenge between romeo and the last chapter.

Every other boss i died at least once or twice and in that same playthrough i somehow managed to die like 8 times to black rabbit.

Honestly I didn't find the 2nd phase too hard, all attacks except the scythe throw are pretty telegraphed but with a short enough windup to be able to panic dodge them, and he is probably the boss with the least poise
The only weird things are the confusing movements, the "Ground on fire" move, and the bullshit charged fire combo, that however can be negated with an heavy fable art attack
The mecha's moon jumps and long arms were much worse for me
He's exactly like nameless king in DS3: Easy on his own but has a weaker boss who you have to fight before every attempt, so it takes longer to learn his attack delays.
This is the most minor of gripes, but i wish you wouldn't get a boss kill achievement until after the cutscene is over. Letting me know at the start of a cutscene that the fight is over and not just transitioning to a new phase because that's when you get the achievement takes a bit of the thrill away.

Good to hear, I almost didn't play this game because I thought the idea sounded really stupid. But after seeing people talking about it so much I gave it a go and it was actually good. I'm even surprised that I enjoyed it so much

I'm up to Act 8 and normal mobs and stage hazards never felt particularly threatening, 99% of my deaths were to mini-bosses and bosses.

Oh yeah, that's a common complaint. The levels are piss easy for the most part and regular mobs don't have a chance against you unless they ambush, hence all the cheap ambushes.

Its the problem of linear and non-shield games, since is too linear you are rarely surprised by ambushes or enemies attacks and all enemies dies in 2 to 3 hits with the proper equipment, only Elites and mini bosses are a real problem and since enemies take too long to heal and don't use shield/block mechanics its not a real fight and more about attacking them before they can attack you.

Agreed. Aside from lightning b***h, the final third has no interesting bosses. And the zones are too short. The one zone that's long (final area) has nothing interesting in it. The game could stand to have some actual environmental puzzles

Just did this fight. Really easy if you move all your legion arm points to the flamberge and just burn the big bro while keeping the garbage bags between you
It's a hard fight but you may also be approaching it completely wrong, don't try and focus down the Eldest Brother, his AI changes once one of his siblings joins in and you can basically ignore him to 1v1 the sibling except for one very easy to dodge dash. Breaking the Big Brothers weapon is also very helpful if you can just focus on parrying for the first phase.
Full wrench is amazing. Looks, moveset, damage. Police baton handle has the most boring moveset in the game. My motivity build started after getting wrench. Compared to my advance build, this is easy mode. But the elites/minibosses nerf might be influencing my view of this
The chance is 0 by default, so you need to have crit chance on the weapon, amulet or the grindstone to trigger them. Each gives a flat chance increase, and they stack.
I'm pretty sure it will be the Dorothy stuff. Seems really presumptuous to tease a full sequel on the first entry of a hopeful franchise.
I will play whatever they release for it though because LoP is great.
Throwables in general are a little too strong. If they were limited I could get it, but it feels like someone forgot there's a merchant who sells unlimited amounts of the elemental ones.
I agree it' good they are useful, just being able to instantly and safely take out the last quarter of a boss' health with five or six throws just feels too good.
I'm really on the fence as to whether to get this game or not. How does it stack up against something like DaS3? Its the only Souls game I didn't care much for.
It's overall better crafted, but it's got the same feint attack/attack spam stuff that DS3 and ER have. That being said, there was only really one boss I thought was a bit much (and still liked) and then one boss I actually didn't like

You won't find a game that does period accuracy. Most games in period settings like these just mix and match stuff that's centuries apart because they all look the same to the untrained modern eye.

Save heals by only fighting the active enemy. Don't go close to the others. Stay behind covers. Against the eldest brother, hit and run. He gets tired easily. Also circle him around the terrain, he gets stuck on it. Particularly that pile of trash bags.
I would like to use the trident because it has a very nice moveset, but I dislike dex weapons in general. Is there a fun weapon to use before I get it? Or should I wait until ng+ or ng++ when builds dont matter anymore thanks to cheap levels?

unless they fixed it, even with the buff the advance scaling does nothing for it
the exploding pickaxe and mjolnir hammer have the same fable art for their respective elements but dont come with advance scaling handles
I barely use it, the animation for fable parry lasts much longer than the parry window, I never even really figured out when's the exact moment it actually triggers.

You're not the only person. Lies of P is better than most souls clones but that's not a high bar. The bosses are pretty much all the bad parts of ER bosses combined. You will like bosses doing endless combos and a comical amount of bosses have 2 phases that you might as well see them as having 2 HP bars.
The bosses imo are fine so far (about 14h into the game), the hp bars are annoying but at least it's workable. Yes,. I'd rather not have them of course. You beat a boss and then HP bar 2 comes and then, for as long as you grinded HP bar 1, you have to grind the boss again, just trying not to get bored at part 1 as you try to keep focus. But it's workable. I can live with that.
What I can't live with are the liiiii-hihihihihiiinear corridors that are the "levels". "A seclet? What?? Seehecletttt? What is seclet??? A BLANCHING PATH? NOOO!! NO BLANCHING PATH!!"
It's just soo boring to explore the levels when you know there is nothing to explore, absolutely nothing.
Got hard filtered by the church boss. Everything before that was easy. I don't know I might go back to it and just summon but I don't imagine the rest of the game is going to get easier.
summoning really helps whittle down the first phase faster if nothing else. Second phase is where it’s actually a challenge. Salamander Dagger does really well in that fight. Also gets a lot easier if you continue fighting the monster side and not try to take on centipede priest. His moves are a lot faster and more erratic to parry
Swamp monster and Romeo, the only bosses that actually change completely the moveset, all the others are just "power up" versions or lame versions like the Archbishop where he has a tendency of using the phase 1 attacks, Laxavia could be just like the Guardian boss where she doesn't take any damage at first and after you stagger her for the first time you start the second phase.

all of the 2 bar bosses have a moveset swap except for archbishop, but even if you fight archbishop's ass, the ass still has some new attacks and some of them are sped up as well

Most of the mid game/lategame bosses are all about deflecting, but the deflect window in this game is pretty borked and it’s very annoying to deflect multiple times in a row.

Which one? But yeah, while I overall liked the game it does have the same problem ER had with it's bosses, where they have weirdly delayed atacks you have to memorize, since reacting to them is humanly impossible, and some hyper agressive AI that never gives you the chance to atack.
But to me, the worse of all is the bosses with 2 completely diferent forms and healthbars. Once you end up defeating phase 1 consistently it starts to become a chore going trough them everytime just to get to Phase 2. Once or twice would be fine, but this game really overdoes it, why the frick does a random swamp monster has a Phase 2?

I somehow missed like half the records. I have no idea where the frick they could be considering how thorough I was with exploring and how linear the game is.
I'm on the fence about this simply because I don't have a sony console/controller, which is what i'm used to for souls games. The last souls game I played was dark souls, and I haven't touched anything since, but this one is interesting to me, mostly because bloodborne is still an exclusive or something. Can I play this with a switch procon or is something else recommended, because i've heard mouse and keyboard is shit for this type of thing.

So after about 50 tries I finally beat Nameless Puppet on NG++. I have every ach in the game...except the letter from Geppetto because I went straight to NG+ instead of checking back in the hotel after that ending so I never read it.
Ngl, I kinda don't want to go to NG+++. I already have 100 in both main damage stats and I know after this point it's going to be nothing but bloat until Round 8 introduces the ability to either boost stats more or increase weapon upgrades past +10/5.
So basically Sophia was never at the hotel and she was an illusion you interacted with while she slowly was dying in the tower from Simons's experiments, right?

He gave his own ergo to resurrect Sophia as a puppet, placing someone else's life over his own like Pinocchio did at the end of the story. That being said he isn't dead, like in Pinocchio this actual of genuine selflessness lets him live on as a real boy.
He didn't die, he became a true boy once he gave his ergo to revive Sophia, and since he's now human, he fell asleep from tiredness after fighting almost non-stop for several days.

i think the moment-to-moment gameplay is generally boring but the bosses in this game are incredible. The King of Puppets and Romeo fight is on par with the best that From has done imo.

It's a very cool moveset and ok weapon, not particularly great though. It's fast enough to be relatively safe, and good stagger for the speed of attacks and reach, but the fable arts aren't much to write home about and the damage is about as good as a mediocre blade+handle combination, way below a lot of boss weapons and good blade+handle combos.
Still, easy enough to beat anything with it. Wouldn't gimp you too hard, just that you will have to play the game more than most high motivity weapons do, or throwable-chucking advance builds.

So why did Geppetto get carlo to kill everyone at the hotel in the bad ending? Its almost like him using you to revive his son seemed to noble so to make it a bad ending they just said "frick it make geppetto insane and murder everyone for no reason".
Geppeto never really cared about Carlo, that was a facade for developing the robots. He was as power crazy as Manus, Manus just initially beat him to the punch.
I think it had to do with him trying to get the Arm of God from the Alchemists by causing a huge ruckus and turning all the puppets on them and the monsters
he needed a frickload of ergo plus the Arm and a fully-charged P-Organ to make the resurrection work. puppet frenzy causes mass death, Manus does his ascension scheme conveniently collecting 1.21 gigawatts of ambient ergo into one spot, and with the Arm as well. he played Manus like a fiddle for that and had his P-Organ equipped Killbot ready to deploy with full justification.

It's an excellent game but it will never surpass fromsoft. Even if its objectively better (not saying it is) it will always live in fromsoft's shadow by virtue of being derivative. The devs are probably fine with this or else they wouldnt have copied so many things 1:1. I'm also not saying tis bad because its a copy. A perfect copy of gold is still gold, and a lot of QoL makes it feel better to play then some real souls games.

In some fights it can be something to watch, since decay or blocking too much can bring it low and you need to stop to grind. It's not supposed to be a huge thing but it's something you sometimes need to consider.
It's kind of like a monster hunter mechanic in some boss fights where you have to find an opening to sharpen mid fight, especially if they use the decay status. But outside of bosses and even single phase bosses its completely negligible

Most of my playthrough was dodging, running attacks and charged attacks from behind and i never struggled with any boss.
I played my entire first playthrough motivity and speccing all my P Engine into stagger and perfect parries.
Had an absolute blast learning the patterns of the bosses, The only time i thought timings were off was First phase puppet king tube arms.

Diablo loot is so fricking bad. The fact that they had to put in an auto sell function for Wo Long tells you enough. They expect you to be spammed with rainbow vomit after every level. People can hate on Fromsoft's games but they did the loot right. I want to focus on the combat and everything else, not play a spreadsheet where I have to compare every little stat and worry about rarity like a shitty offline MMO. It doesn't help Team Ninja games are so backloaded that most people just get burned out just trying to reach the cool stuff at the end. Seriously you need to go through 3 NG in Wo Long just to reach the end game content and change out skills on your weapons. That's right, a fricking basic feature is locked until you already beaten the game 3 times.

Nioh 2 was great and its more "gamey" than souls games with the way the levels and gear are done. I really wanted to love it but after getting to a cirtain level the combos of swapping stances and all the move sets filtered me. I probably could have easily just ignored the combos but it made me feel like i was missing out. I wish it was easier to swap stances, maybe mouse and keyboard is better?

Stack Toughness from heavier armour which reduces the amount of Ki you lose for blocking or getting hit. Nioh make it easy to brute force things with the RPG system and definitely doesn't like you being Light weight early. The game is not hard unless you make it hard.
yeah honestly this is the problem for me too. I can handle the difficulty and I'm pretty far in, but it's tuned to a point where it's just exhausting after a while. It's such a shame too because I really enjoy the game. Just wish some levels weren't so ball bustingly difficult.
Nioh is a number game disguised as an action game. The higher your numbers the more fun and easier it is on you, which makes starting from 0 absolutely brutal. Number go up = fun go up, it's less about the action at its core and more about big numbers.

Nioh 2 and Lies of P are 2 of the only soulsclones I would say are on par with the actual Souls games.
I love Jack's game but it's not a soulsclone, it's just a regular action RPG.

look man, I love Lies of P. It's better than most souls games even, like, chef's fricking kiss good. But comparing it to Nioh 2? That game is on a league it's own. It's action RPG gameplay perfected. No other action rpg has gameplay as smooth as extensive as that game.
Eh, it's smooth but I don't think they designed the progression system of moves/gear, balancing of those moves/gear/weapons, or enemies particularly well compared to something that is much more straightforward like Lies of P or some Souls games.
And when you know any of the many ways that break the game in Nioh/Nioh 2, it's like cursed knowledge. You have to go out of your way to not use them, else most encounters just get so fricked by you in such a casual way that they may as well be a training dummy. Even playing extremely laidback, just reducing ki then activating living weapon mode when they're depleted is as fricked up in how much it chunks even a boss to nothing that it's more of a game changer than summoning in a Souls game, and that is a fundamental game mechanic.

I've been using rapier for coil, and salamander as is. But I've only put a few points in Adv., dex was my main stat. I stopped using both after about a third of the game, and just switched to single use abrasives.
Ignore this guy, put it on the Salamander handle like everything else
Some weapon combinations don't work too well because their Damage Type is incompatible (you can see this when creating them if there is a vv down arrow instead of an == sign). So for example putting a mace head on a dagger handle will be bad because a blunt weapon can't stab. If you're an Advance build you're kind of sadly more limited in your options because only a handful of weapon handles even have Advance scaling.
The moment you get an advance crank, slap it on the Police Baton and equip that to the coil. That's the combo I enjoy the most. For the salamander dagger, I quite like how it pairs with the booster glaive. Give that a shot when you can.
I like the coil head with the booster glaive and the fire dagger with the poison spear
advance weapon work best on salamander handle. Then only use r2 to keep slash dmg fine or ignore dmg type mismatch because most of you dmg is elemental anyway. Salamander has fastest cr2 and very good r2, it carried my fast playthrough.
I put it on the salamander dagger handle and just used the R2. It's surprisingly versatile. Went through the whole game with that dagger handle and the fire dagger blade, electric coil head, and the acid spear head, just switching as appropriate.
The fire axe handle + electric coil has served me well so far. It feels really good to use

I really hope they don't nerf the green monster, he's easily one of the best bosses in the game and way better designed than a lot of the other ones to the point where he feels like a Sekiro boss more than most of the others do. Almost all his attacks in both forms have hard counters that let you avoid them easily or punish him, his first form doesn't have that much HP and isn't a slog to get through and he's the only real challenge between romeo and the last chapter.
Nothing in the game needs a nerf. if anything some of the bosses need a buff. its moronic how easy the game is outside of romeo and laxasia.

Every other boss i died at least once or twice and in that same playthrough i somehow managed to die like 8 times to black rabbit.

Honestly I didn't find the 2nd phase too hard, all attacks except the scythe throw are pretty telegraphed but with a short enough windup to be able to panic dodge them, and he is probably the boss with the least poise
The only weird things are the confusing movements, the "Ground on fire" move, and the bullshit charged fire combo, that however can be negated with an heavy fable art attack
The mecha's moon jumps and long arms were much worse for me
He's exactly like nameless king in DS3: Easy on his own but has a weaker boss who you have to fight before every attempt, so it takes longer to learn his attack delays.
Romeo is hard, the struggle is to do a clean first phase so you have enough resources for phase two.

This is the most minor of gripes, but i wish you wouldn't get a boss kill achievement until after the cutscene is over. Letting me know at the start of a cutscene that the fight is over and not just transitioning to a new phase because that's when you get the achievement takes a bit of the thrill away.

Oh yeah, that's a common complaint. The levels are piss easy for the most part and regular mobs don't have a chance against you unless they ambush, hence all the cheap ambushes.
Its the problem of linear and non-shield games, since is too linear you are rarely surprised by ambushes or enemies attacks and all enemies dies in 2 to 3 hits with the proper equipment, only Elites and mini bosses are a real problem and since enemies take too long to heal and don't use shield/block mechanics its not a real fight and more about attacking them before they can attack you.

It's a hard fight but you may also be approaching it completely wrong, don't try and focus down the Eldest Brother, his AI changes once one of his siblings joins in and you can basically ignore him to 1v1 the sibling except for one very easy to dodge dash. Breaking the Big Brothers weapon is also very helpful if you can just focus on parrying for the first phase.
Full wrench is amazing. Looks, moveset, damage. Police baton handle has the most boring moveset in the game. My motivity build started after getting wrench. Compared to my advance build, this is easy mode. But the elites/minibosses nerf might be influencing my view of this

The chance is 0 by default, so you need to have crit chance on the weapon, amulet or the grindstone to trigger them. Each gives a flat chance increase, and they stack.

You will like bosses doing endless combos and a comical amount of bosses have 2 phases that you might as well see them as having 2 HP bars.
The bosses imo are fine so far (about 14h into the game), the hp bars are annoying but at least it's workable. Yes,. I'd rather not have them of course. You beat a boss and then HP bar 2 comes and then, for as long as you grinded HP bar 1, you have to grind the boss again, just trying not to get bored at part 1 as you try to keep focus. But it's workable. I can live with that.
What I can't live with are the liiiii-hihihihihiiinear corridors that are the "levels". "A seclet? What?? Seehecletttt? What is seclet??? A BLANCHING PATH? NOOO!! NO BLANCHING PATH!!"
It's just soo boring to explore the levels when you know there is nothing to explore, absolutely nothing.

summoning really helps whittle down the first phase faster if nothing else. Second phase is where it’s actually a challenge. Salamander Dagger does really well in that fight. Also gets a lot easier if you continue fighting the monster side and not try to take on centipede priest. His moves are a lot faster and more erratic to parry

the only one that made no sense was the swamp monster
Swamp monster and Romeo, the only bosses that actually change completely the moveset, all the others are just "power up" versions or lame versions like the Archbishop where he has a tendency of using the phase 1 attacks, Laxavia could be just like the Guardian boss where she doesn't take any damage at first and after you stagger her for the first time you start the second phase.
laxasia does completely change her moveset though
all of the 2 bar bosses have a moveset swap except for archbishop, but even if you fight archbishop's ass, the ass still has some new attacks and some of them are sped up as well
yeah most of them should have just had 1 big bar and at half they cutscene to their second form
The insulting thing is that they """hide""" it like a "gotcha" moment. Just fricking put x2 next to the hp bar because you're not surprising anyone with a phase 2 when every boss has one.

Once you end up defeating phase 1 consistently it starts to become a chore going trough them everytime just to get to Phase 2. So after about 50 tries I finally beat Nameless Puppet on NG++. I have every ach in the game...except the letter from Geppetto because I went straight to NG+ instead of checking back in the hotel after that ending so I never read it.
Ngl, I kinda don't want to go to NG+++. I already have 100 in both main damage stats and I know after this point it's going to be nothing but bloat until Round 8 introduces the ability to either boost stats more or increase weapon upgrades past +10/5.

It's a very cool moveset and ok weapon, not particularly great though. It's fast enough to be relatively safe, and good stagger for the speed of attacks and reach, but the fable arts aren't much to write home about and the damage is about as good as a mediocre blade+handle combination, way below a lot of boss weapons and good blade+handle combos.
Still, easy enough to beat anything with it. Wouldn't gimp you too hard, just that you will have to play the game more than most high motivity weapons do, or throwable-chucking advance builds.

Geppeto never really cared about Carlo, that was a facade for developing the robots. He was as power crazy as Manus, Manus just initially beat him to the punch.

I think it had to do with him trying to get the Arm of God from the Alchemists by causing a huge ruckus and turning all the puppets on them and the monsters
he needed a frickload of ergo plus the Arm and a fully-charged P-Organ to make the resurrection work. puppet frenzy causes mass death, Manus does his ascension scheme conveniently collecting 1.21 gigawatts of ambient ergo into one spot, and with the Arm as well. he played Manus like a fiddle for that and had his P-Organ equipped Killbot ready to deploy with full justification.

It's an excellent game but it will never surpass fromsoft. Even if its objectively better (not saying it is) it will always live in fromsoft's shadow by virtue of being derivative. The devs are probably fine with this or else they wouldnt have copied so many things 1:1. I'm also not saying tis bad because its a copy. A perfect copy of gold is still gold, and a lot of QoL makes it feel better to play then some real souls games.

In some fights it can be something to watch, since decay or blocking too much can bring it low and you need to stop to grind. It's not supposed to be a huge thing but it's something you sometimes need to consider.
It's kind of like a monster hunter mechanic in some boss fights where you have to find an opening to sharpen mid fight, especially if they use the decay status. But outside of bosses and even single phase bosses its completely negligible
My weapon only broke once, against green poopy monster, since up till that point I didn't realize how fast decay actually hurts your weapon.

Anyone who struggles with this game is 100% trying to parry everything like a moron.
Most of my playthrough was dodging, running attacks and charged attacks from behind and i never struggled with any boss.
I played my entire first playthrough motivity and speccing all my P Engine into stagger and perfect parries.
Had an absolute blast learning the patterns of the bosses, The only time i thought timings were off was First phase puppet king tube arms.
They’re also not making use of legion arms effectively, and are likely under the assumption you can’t dodge fury attacks when you can dodge some.
they should've just started the tutorial by saying "do you want to play slash, stab, or both?" because dex is literally JUST FRICKING STAB WEAPONS
