BWC bait
frick off racist
she wants to frick kiryu even more OP
that's literally every female
based
based stevencarson enjoyer
SC based but he should switch around seong and saeko's sizes. Also he just got a hold of a chitose model so kino coming soon
Is this real? Which game in the series?
yes real
Let me guess
>she strips naked BEGGING Kiryu for sex
>Kiryu, like a stoic Nipponese man, says "no way gay" and remains a 50 year old virgin defending his chastity to the grave
oh hey i thought i was the only one unfathomably pissed about that yakuza 5 scene
Kind of, she invites herself into Kiryu's house and goes over every detail she knows about Kiryu, who only knows of her as a organized crime leader.
But muh yumi
Kiryu was for Haruka only and she's dead so...
S I G M A

Kiryu will never stop loving Yumi. Preasu understendu
>kiryu will never pass on his gigachad genes because of this prostitute
what a waste
Why is every single Yokoyama-written male such a cuck?
It speaks volumes that the ONE time he didn't write a mainline RGG entry (The Kaito Files) the MC is actually a gigachad who wins the affection of the girl, no questions asked.
Yagami is also not written by him. That was all Furuta and Nagoshi. Furuta is the unsung hero of Yakuza's writing(which is funny considering their first times in charge of the writing were Dead Souls and Binary Domain), looking at the Yakuza games, the ones where he's credited as "Script/Storyboard writer" are also the better ones
>6
>Judgement
>Lost Judgement
>Kaito Files
>Gaiden
>Script Assistant Director for 0 and 7
It's not surprising to find out 8's story is so shit when you find out he was less involved with the story this time around.
>6
>one of the better ones
It's good, frick you
not saying it isn't good but it's certainly not on the level of judgment
listen man, if you liked gaiden that's fine, I did too, fun game
but it opens up with kazuma kiryu, being sent into yakuza infested sotenbori as jizzuma joryu who is very discreetly flying around on go go gadget rocket shoes, despite the fact that he's supposed to be dead, despite the fact that the daidoji want him as an asset and to keep their secrets which requires him to be dead, the writing leaves something to be desired here and there
you're working with a weak premise, there's only so much you can do to salvage it.
>Kiryu is back doing some filler bullshit to explain why he was at the dissolution in 7. Also nothing that happens in this story is actually important since we already finished 8's story so you can't do anything that might go against it.
Who was this b***h in 7 again? I remember her face but have no recollection of what her role was.
Leader of the Geomijul, still is
leader of the asiatics.
first part of 7 was the Yokohama Wall. asiatics, Chinks, and Jap mafias were working together to maintain peace in the underworld.
Bleach Japan wanted to tear them down via designated Yakuza traitor. Kasuga stops it.
In return, she assigns you her lackey to help your mission. But really it's to keep an eye on you
How do you enjoy these games if you genuinely in normal conversation use racist terms to refer to East Asian people? Is this the power of the chuds?
>casual racism bad
First day in Ganker mein Neger?
Is that the futa b***h or am I confusing her for another samey-looking Yakuza female?
Where the FRICK is her class xp accessory? I have every other class item but hers. Heck I even have 2 for Kiryu.
No clue, I just put her as Night Queen when I got the chance
I got it from a safe in Ijincho. It's a pair of purple shades.
>Chitose is obviously shady, screwing over Ichiban and others on several occasions
>Saeko ghosted Ichiban for a year after leading him to think everything is ok and feels justified in doing so
>Seonhee fangirls over Kiryu and otherwise just tries to be helpful
She is easily the best girl.
Gold safe in Ijincho. For me at least it was the one under the lot behind where Can Quest is.
No one ages in Yakuza unless they were introduced as kids.
>No one ages in Yakuza unless they were introduced as kids.
When did they introduce Doc Emoto as a kid? Or Pocket Circuit Fighter?
Ok fair I forgot about PCF, but then look at any of the main cast. Kiryu should be what, 50+ but look the same as he did did in Y1. Same for Majima. And obviously as seen in this thread Yuki and Kaoru also look the same.
>And obviously as seen in this thread Yuki and Kaoru also look the same.
That's because asian genes lead to
Just look at their 40something folks like Ayumi Hamasaki or Koda Kumi.
I don't know about Koda Kumi, but Ayumi had obvious plastic surgery.
I understand the complaints about the jima's looking really young for being almost 60, however it feels like they actually tried to make kiryu look older this time, it also helps that he's literally dying and coughing blood throught the entire game.
The only reason they made Kiryu look older is because people have been complaining about it a lot
>Kiryu should be what, 50+ but look the same as he did did in Y1
Counterpoint, this is a 63 year old man.
>Or Pocket Circuit Fighter?
when you're introduced as an almost-30 year old virgin playing with motorized toy cars to avoid your family destiny you might as well be a child
no hips
Seonhee's tight booty.
Just finished chapter 13. Fricking hell, they done it again. They accomplished kino. Yamai is an awesome character.
This is a 58 years old woman.
the way she talks is so nice on the ears. wasn't really feeling her at the start, but now i'm hooked.
etsuko sucks the hag-ness out of youthful women in order to stockpile feminine strength. they call her the menopausal messiah
My wife
That's not Mafuyu
Yeah, I would have impregnated her immediately.
i really like how expressive her va can be in combat
How am I supposed to farm the materials for leveling up the level 7 weapons up to +50. I've been farming the dungeons for hours and still don't have enough for two weapons
Your party's levels might play into it. I stubbornly kept doing the honolulu haunt over and over trying to get further in/levelling up everyone's jobs when my party was just ichiban/kiryu/tomi/cheetos and by the time I got everyone's jobs all to lvl 30 I was 60, and the story requirements only needed me to be lvl 24. Anyway, I'm back in Japan with Kiryu now and mobs in town drop lustrous steels.
>turn out Seonhee is a cute autistic dork
Would you say this improves her character or detracts from it? I like it personally
Definitely improves her character. The party chats with her are great.
>pink hair dye
>that aggressive red lipstick color
Yuck.
>pink hair dye
>that aggressive red lipstick color
Just finished the game including the extra deluxe dungeon.
Gameplay is hard straightup improvement over 7 .Hawaii was a pretty nice location. Fun place to roam around and the scooter is a godsend. Minigames and side activities are among the best in the series and the soundtrack is good as well,
But i can't say i really enjoyed the story. The game has the same problem that Yakuza 0 had with the plot constantly flopping between the two protagonists - that and everything about the island nuclear waste plot is so fricking dumb - even the literal bad guy of the game had to admit at the end that this shit was stupid and doomed to fail from the start. Kiryus parts were generally better than Ichibans and while emotional - at this point you just want the guy to retire so he can finally have some peace. How often do they wanna retire and un-retire him? I thought the whole "passing the torch" thing already happend in 7. The end here meanwhile screams that LaD 9 will feature Kiryu again fighting to come back after some hardass but successful chemo therapy. And again: Everything about the cancer and nuclear plot was mega stupid.
Some parts of this game feel like filler if we consider the whole story of the series, but the "passing the torch" moment was far superior in this game than in 7.
In 7 there was a cool boss fight and some cheesy dialogue but here we finally got a heartfelt conversation between both characters with Kiryu acknowledging he belonged in the past and Ichi has to be the one to carry the future.
We needed that. Even when the ending of 6 was great, Kiryu's role in Gaiden and here it's the closure that he deserved and not what he had in 7 with that random cameo that almost felt disrespectful for his character.
Why am I liking 3 remastered more than Kiwami 2? I couldn't get into K2 but I really like 3's, especially the OST
No idea since 2 is better than 3. Not saying K2 was that great since dragon engine but combat in 3 just tends to be annoying at times due to the AI.
I like Kiwami 2 more overall but 3 definitely has some charm to it. Sure - the combat is ass but i love the golf in that game. And Okinawa is also a pretty nice location.
.
King shit, he should have been the one to rule.
LEAVE EBINA TO ME!
Everything about the final felt super undercooked
>"heh you feel pretty smug because you stopped my nuclear plot but jokes on you - i knew it was doomed to fail from the start!"
>"why did i still do it tho? heh...maybe this is all i can do...but do i REALLY wanna do it? Or am i just doing this because i feel like i need to do it????"
>"kill me so i cannot kill the Yakuza that i so desperately wanna kill!"
>Kiryu: "I am so sorry pls do not kill the Yakuza please...I am crying tears...*passes out from cancer*"
the game should've been 20 chapters long, everything at the end felt super rushed, also is it me or Ichiban's felt so... uninteresting, like yeah he was there to see his mom but somehow got involved into a multination conspiracy.
Ichiban's story* I'm falling asleep sorry
There isn't much to Ichibans story here period
>so your mom is on Hawaii and she wants to see you
>okay
>go to Hawaii and after a rough start finally meet her for the first time
>one scene where he tells her about his father and hands over the ashes
>some tears
>that's it
>after that the kidnap plot happens and after getting BTFO once Ichi still saves her on time
>the end is just him kicking the cult leaders ass
And all of that is sandwiched between the cringe confession thing with Saeko. Kiryu definitely got more attention than he did - attention that really wasn't needed.
I felt that Kiryu's side was more engaging, and his side of the story was handled better.
I don't remember if Akane even knew to want to see Ichiban. Wasn't the whole thing just Sawashiro going "hey, so your dad is dead and my son is dead, maybe it's ok to let her know that her son is alive and all that stuff"?
I mean the premise of the game wasn't really insteresting, but Ichiban's story was good while Kiryu was still in Hawaii and later peaked at the beach scene with Akane which was great. It's the last part chasing Bryce that drags his story down because he's a terrible villain.
It was mostly an excuse so he had something to do while Kiryu's finished the story of the game.
Imo he should have ended things with Bryce in chapter 13 so he could have had some development with Ei-chan in the finale and that way the ending didn't feel that rushed.
During the ending when Cheetos was doing the livestream of the defeated Bryce and they cut to Eiji in the apartment in Japan, I had no idea who that was supposed to be until after Kiryu's segment when Ichiban walks in and says his name. I agree we needed more closure between Ichi and Eiji.
>Imo he should have ended things with Bryce in chapter 13 so he could have had some development with Ei-chan in the finale and that way the ending didn't feel that rushed.
Kiryu and Ichi shouldve taken on both Bryce and Ebina together, this "lol lets split up" shit kinda sucked. I get why htey cant all just go to Hawaii, but it wouldve been better if they were together
A lot of the middle chapters felt really short, like you just walk to a location for a cutscene and then boom its the next chapter already, wasn't 7 like 18 chapters? That thing was a full on 3 act play.
I feel like previous yakuza games are better about dispersing the substories as the game progresses. Felt like in this I had basically every single one done by chapter 6 or something
7 was 15 chapters long, but felt more complete and cohesive.
>A lot of the middle chapters felt really short
yeah, I remember feeling that getting to chapter 6 took an eternity and then suddenly I was fighting 3jima
does anyone have the pic of saori in the bikini
The marketing also made a bigger deal out of those three than needed
>Kiryu goes there and asks for their help
>Nope. we are old and tired leave us alone
>still show up - what a surprise - in the final for like one battle against random nobodies before fricking off again
>get one short moment when Kiryu breaks down to totally not die for the xth time
So what do you guys think it's next for Ichiban?
before I read the name, I legit thought this was a screenshot from ingame
Did anyone else just feel total apathy over Akane and Lani's existence? They both only speak twice throughout the entire game.
He gets blamed for a terrorist attack and becomes public enemy #1. He then has to try to prove his innocence. There's no way they aren't going to start his next game without a swift kick in the nads.
Ichiban having some devastating effect is like Kiryu's Tojo Clan.
>7
>Ichiban goes to jail for Masato Arakawa's sake
>When he gets out, Masumi Arakawa shoots him upon reuniting albeit it to fake his death
>8
>Ichiban is trying to help former yakuza members get to a normal life
>He gets framed of exploiting them so that more yakuza members can fall under the Seiryu Clan's nets and get exploited in turn
>Gets tasked with meeting his mother and having to leave Japan
9 is probably going to have him framed for murder of a political official and he'll get caught up in a conspiracy that Yokohama's underground is actually plotting against Seonhee to take over trade routes or something
I would love to finally see him snap, he just keeps getting stepped on and allowing shit to happen to him. His enduring attitude and being able to take everything positively needs to have its limits. Like he needs to lose all hope or eventually become evil.
But then who would be the one to bring him back from the brink? Kiryu?
>But then who would be the one to bring him back from the brink? Kiryu?
Saeko and her kid from another man
>Y7 Ichi = 42 Saeko = 36
>Y8 Ichi = 45 Saeko = 39
It's going to come out all moronic.
Where did you get that age for Saeko from.
>Rubber Chromosomes
>Ichibans bring Ei-chan to the cop station
>gets knocked out by glass bottle
>nothing happens
What was the point? And Akane just goes back to Hawaii to help Lani? She didn't even get to say goodbye to Ichi.
There is no point. The story is barely beyond a first draft layout.
Chitose looked good in the blue dress
She would look better naked, just like that Korean prostitute
There are 4 words too many in your sentence.
Cheetos looks good in anything
So was Kiryu in his fighting prime in 2? Or 1?
in 5
6 objectively
As much as I like how Kiryu fights in 6 and K1, he was at his strongest in 5. I will also NEVER watch that video that's titled something like "The most busted version of Kiryu" with 5 Kiryu on the thumbnail that gets recommended to me from time to time.
how do i get to level 70 without the DLC, im at 58
Moose is never around when I need him. The "theory" is to get carried in an EX labyrinth (that or just advance until the end), while wearing the weight and that weird chest device accessory you get at the end of Chapter 7.
Also go to the worst possible part of town.
sure but all the talk about "fire god" and "fire cleansing" and "fires" ect come on man. would have been way higher stakes to then just "bad man have a shity job now"
thats not feasible, the exp is too low even with those accessories, and it's setup in such an annoying way using rng that it demands your attention and party maintenance.
having a list where to buy a level booster would be more helpful. i know im missing one from the batting cages.
kiwami 2's cabaret minigame is fricking good, why couldn't dondoko island be as snappy and fun?
because koyuki and yuki are best girls
True and real
>this goddess is somehow 58 years old
yes she is my mom
I believe it. She's a hostess caked up with makeup, plus she likely got some work done. Tommy Heavenly looks like she's in her late 20s despite being 49 years old.
I really really really thought the big twice was going to be bryce was making a nuke.
nope, radiation poisoning made him a native Japanese speaker who sounds dumb when he tries to speak English
Someone said Ben's Whacky Wagon or whatever can't be abused for stat boosters. is it true?
Latest patch seems to have removed the exploit
So he doesn't spawn? Or his items don't refill? Farming stat boosters sucked without him..
He's always in the left most part of Hawaii. Either the top street or the middle. Just look for a guy pushing a cart in the alleyways or sidewalk.
did the patch fix dondoko iland online mode JUST NOT WORKING?!
No idea, I speedran to resort 5 for the cash then haven't touched that garbage.
These patches always say bug fixes, but what they do is fix exploits. Reloading while changing the clock would have been fantastic, since he largely wanders the same area.
i was doing it like 8 hours ago try to see if he had a level booster and it was still working.
sega better fire the guy who's turning this series into p2w bullshit btw, where you need a fricking $20 dlc to get a plat trophy
Love the game so far. At chapter 10 and just got Zhao. Does the story really take a nose dive soon? It's been enjoyable so far.
>tfw no Korean subordinate who calls me Oppa
Why live
i need that korean mafia spinoff so fricking bad it's insane
I knew from the second Joongi pouted when Zhao joined Kiryu's party, he'd frick off without telling Seonhee to Hawaii to join Ichiban. However, I didn't expect him to have someone he was training to replace him that was his right hand that he clearly spoiled that relied on him too much and was childish to also frick off to hawaii without telling her superior who had left her in charge. The entire korean mafia is a daisy chain of superiors spoiling their right hands
Also don't forget Joongi loves when Seonhee scolds him.
He's just like me fr fr
we love best boy here
She looks like an Altmer.
lel
For me, it's Ms Mao
Oops meant to post this one.
That is not Saori-san anon
You don't think cancer will kill Kiryu, do you?
Nobody thinks that. The entire point of the second half is convincing Kiryu that it's worth to keep fighting. Can't kill him off that way.
The only reason why they gave him cancer in the first place was nerfing him - cause playable Kiryu needs to work somehow within the RPG setting. Having non-cancer Kiryu available right at the start would be too broken.
Assuming the series doesn't die before he does, what will kill Kiryu?
Majima murder suicide. Maybe punching each other to death in the, here comes the twist, BASEMENT of the millennium tower which for some reason is an exact replica of the empty lot from 0 complete with a fake kamurocho sky box.
GOD WHY IS ISHIBAN SUCH A FRICKING GOOD CHARACTER
MILES BETTER THAN KIRYU
I FRICKING LOVE HIM, MAN
HES GOOD, BUT NAIVE
HE AVOIDS VIOLENCE, BUT GOES CRAZY WHEN NEEDS TOO
HES NOT SMART, BUT HES NOT JUDGEMENTAL, MAKING HIM CURIOUS ABOUT EVERYTHING
I bet you're nothing like ichiban irl
Will we ever get Judgement 3 bros? I need to see Yagami and the gang again
>Will we ever get Judgement 3 bros?
LJ was only two years ago man, give it like two more years before they spoil the plot in the first trailer.
I hope we get it. The game was so good man. Judgement and Lost Judgement are some of the best gaming experiences I've had in the past 10 years easily. Was genuinely awesome. Haven't played LAD8 yet, excited to play it but will buy it when the price drops a bit since I'd feel to guilty buying at full price atm
>7 is about the death of the Yakuza for its own good
>Gaiden is about the guys who want to prevent the Yakuza from dying for its own good because it's the only life they ever knew
>8finite Wealth is about guys trying to bring the Yakuza back
>excited to play it but will buy it when the price drops a bit
just grab it off of fanatical for $60, they're not illegal key sellers
I don't know if you're trolling but 8 is about guys trying to deny former yakuzas a second chance at life and trying to frick them over for their past mistakes.
I'd say it's a logical progression, but I can't imagine what 9 will be about.
RGG teased an important announcement this summer iirc.
It should be Judgment 3.
I will cry. But word on the street is they're also working on VF6 (according to Midori, a legit Persona leaker, so far at least) so it could be that. Although I'd love that too tbh
It's true, guys! My uncle works at Sega!
They've been teasing a VF6 for decades. It's time to accept that it's never going to happen.
> introduced boxing only in dlc later when people already beat the story
i fricking hope so. And it better have boxing from the start
Have faith, judgebro
God DAMN I love Kimura Takuya's voice man. I know that part isn't voiced but something about it puts me at ease
Kaito for MRC president!
I wonder if it'll be like Yakuza 0 and split the game between Kaito and Yagami.
The whole game will be from the perspective of my wife Mafuyu-chan
Majima gaiden is the next game where he goes to Hawaii and needs to save Makoto from Bryce Fairchild
>munan suzuki is back yet again
interesting.
Are the starter Sujimon shit? I want to keep my fire guy because you should never bench your starter pokemon but even after evolving he seems really weak
Sodachi is good, and will evolve when you get far enough in the Sujimon story, but the rest are bad.
Are certain characters actually more suited to specific classes? I didn't think too much about it during my playthrough and actually kind of struggled with the Millenium Tower dungeon at the end, thinking about doing the NG+ Legend stuff but I guess I want to actually min/max before I do that.
7 or 8?
8, sorry.
How is Ishin? I want to play that before getting into Infinite Wealth, and its also cheaper to get.
pretty mid.
Ishin Kiwami's one of the worse titles because of all the changes, Ishin's pretty fun outside of the friendship substories and mundane story. Both have ridiculous grind if going for 100%.
Wait, Ishin Kiwami had some bad changes outside of the switch to Unreal Engine 4? That's disappointing to hear.
I'm not really the type of person that 100%s RGG/LaD games though, so I think I'll be fine.
Yeah, combat overhauls that heavily unbalance it when it already wasn't super balanced to begin with (We're not talking the cards here, they changed up a lot), boss fights are worse because they feel like they have less health paired with the card attacks killing the flow of battle, for people who haven't played the original the story will flow differently, they cut some stuff like the short epilogue for no real reason, visuals are noticeably worse in most respects compared to the original with the lighting breaking a lot of things, etc.
It's still fine, but it's a massive disappointment if you played the original and shouldn't be how you first experience the game if you can help it in my opinion.
Are there any objective improvements? I'm a Japlet so I can only play Kiwami Ishin.
>Are there any objective improvements?
Drop rate is higher especially after the patch that feels like it quadrupled it.
Premium Adventure saves can go into NG+ now instead of being locked to it.
You can take screenshots outside of the arena and PA.
You can change your difficulty whenever so this makes grinding faster, but that's only really a benefit for IK specifically due to the rebalanced damage, armor, Seal effects, etc.
Diligence List (Virya List) has a lot of the more tedious stuff like the stuff in Another Life have half the requirements when doing a 100% run.
You don't need to own an accessory first to craft it, you can just craft stuff you've never owned which means the arena is basically pointless now outside of for completionists wanting the Golden Sword.
Smithing menu is so much better you have no idea. Even if you understood Japanese or used it enough it was a disgusting and confusing mess.
Fan Dancing was made significantly easier, karaoke timing felt like it was in line with the cursor rather than being a slight bit off, and the Sensual Healing minigame felt way more lenient.
Golden Sneaks spawn way more since I actually saw them when not farming fairly regularly.
The Battle Dungeon doesn't have three levels each area that force you into Sword/Spear/Gun cards only which makes grinding for regular level up EXP faster compared to the original.
Those are the only real positives. Everything else is pretty much worse.
I see, I'll try tracking down an import copy then.
raise your standards. Asians look like bugs or the same.
Why do they have old people as main characters in these games? I'm gonna go back to playing Persona
WHO CAN SATISFY THE GIRLS IN YAKUZA GAMES?
Me
How come most the porn I see for Seonhee is FUTA? She's best girl btw
I hate futaBlack folk
Spoken like a true legend
where's the pits though
FutaBlack folk are awful.
i don't know I was wondering this too futagays found her
Plebs think dominance has to involve thrusting and being the one penetrating, so they either devolve into futagays or pegging weirdos.
Femdom is for low test sissies like might as well suck a wiener and that's what these gays are doing. If you're not there yet but you're into femdom, it's only a matter of time.
the series has an awful guy to female ratio.
>literally introduced feet-first
Based devs know what’s up.
Any semi-dominant type woman will attract closet gays.
So how are they reusing Hawaii, Judgement or some Dead Souls tier shit
Yagami has to go to Hawaii because Amasawa told him to
Reusing Hawaii in a Judgement Dead Souls spinoff
Kiwami 3 is 100% happening.
Kiwami 3
Did I miss a cutscene or did they really never offer any explanation on why the guy doesn't fricking age?
Yamai should have been a party member
Yamai is Number One's Majima, he'll be back
Yes, and also where the frick was Eri? But I agree Yamai was KINO
She went overseas Black person stop skipping cutscenes
I saw the cutscene but WHY? The devs didn't have to exclude her
It's not in a cutscene though, you only learn that if you go to Itchy Balls Confections while Kasuga is still in Yokohama
the frick was Eri?
>He didn't talk to granny.
The real reason is she was a contest winner, there's no reason to bring her back. The fact we got Nanba or Sawashiro back at all is super surprising.
Yakuza 9 bro.
Karen's substory was great, probably the best substory character this time around.
>The best substory ended up being about ripping up diapers
How the frick.
>That feel when UFO-sama graced us with his presence again.
We are unworthy.
>not Nathan
He's literall yme.
Is this shit good? I've played every game in the series except it.
not really
it's the only one I ever gave up on.
Same, thought I'd really like it but I just couldn't do it.
Scroll up a bit. Story is so-so and substories are mostly friendship starters which are bad but the actual substories are pretty good. The original is fun with only one style being unbalanced but it has a lot of grind if going for 100%, the Kiwami is okay but ruined a lot of what made the original good while adding on its own host of issues.
As I said before, they should expand Kamurocho to entire Shinjuku, that’ll give player a reason to use skateboard or segway
That'd be really cool, expanding Kamurocho. But I'd be okay with another new location.
Always wanted them to do a small town thing like with Saejima in 5, but more fleshed out.
The Kazami Evolution poundmate is so fricking gay that the enemies die of gayness
God he's hot
PITS
I liked Nishitani was hoping he would be back for 8
>Nishitani coming back
>Rubber bullets part 2
i need more koreans in my yakuza games
What do you mean he's alive at the end of Gaiden?
I doubt characters with high profile actors will return
I want to clap this jojo character lookin ass homo's cheeks.
Same and I'm not gay even a little, never even had a gay thought in my life
That's a throwback to dark yugi
it's a parody of a japanese boy star
I decided to play Ishin before starting Infinite Wealth and this shit is great fun, almost 20 hours in and I'm only halfway through Chapter 4, I don't know why people hate it I am having a blast farming, fishing and cooking alone.
same absolutely loved it, kino story too
Playing LaD7: Just got to chapter 7 & unlocked Yokohama dungeon. Should I change to any other jobs and level up any other jobs or just stick with everyone’s default for now? The manager mini game is helpful for money.
Change to Foreman on Ichiban to unlock breaking walls globally. Then it's up to you, it's worth it for the carry over stats and skills you unlock and it gives you some variety. Only run the Yokohama dungeon once, it's garbage outside of that one run.
For leveling I just got one job each to 30. Later on, before a double battle, you'll unlock a different method of leveling which is "suggested you try" but really is great for levels, better than Yokohama. You really will need to get at least your second to 30 and then maybe even another one depending on how good you are at the game, but I completed the rest of the game with only two jobs each at 30.
I remember peppermill blow from chef being really strong. But you'll want to level at least 1-2 other jobs to 30 just for the stat boosts.
so who from the devs pushed for kaoru's return in infinite wealth anyway?
The only emotional beats they have for Kiryu is 'muh yumi' and 'muh kaoru' because they're afraid of letting him develop as a character.
idk. just make him marry a korean or chinese girl already
Sooo... where's Sujimon pvp?
>Just people using Kiwami Violets or Kiwami Lights and playing the speed game.
Seems kind of pointless as there isn't much strategy there. It's basically
>Do you want a 6/7* attack but do terrible damage or do you want a 10* attack but need speed support?
There isn't really a secret fetish club in Japan where grown men act and get coddled by girls like babies right... RIGHT?
there is an entire subgenre of POV JAV where (You) are a baby and the girl treats you like one and they do the usual suck n frick, so yes, there most likely is
just search up nursery jav it's all there
They exist in America too anon.
god i wish i was Ebina in the final scene
what's the qrd on creamapi?
download it, run it, pick the game you want, it unlocks the DLC
could it vac ban me?
Just do it Black person nothing ever happened to me and a gorillion other people
Thanks, it worked.
Welcome to the club
how did we go from Shishido and Nishitani III to the garbage villains in 8
at least Buraisu's engrish is funny I guess
ESG shilling was their top priority. Not a single person gives a shit about Bryce outside of laughing at his Engrish.
Shishido being a mole felt a lot more natural than Eiji did, but I think it's because Gaiden made it feel more natural while Infinite Wealth had to dumb down other characters to make it work.
>Everyone is questioning how Chinese gang knew about Akane being Ichiban's mother
>Camera pans to Eiji and zooms in
That was so fricking painful.
going out on the town with Shishido and his crew was kino too
Picrel performance is very good
JAV mentioned.
The series needs to go back to hiring JAV idols for their hostesses. Here, take this.
https://mega.nz/folder/xdAlgTCQ#xgNff4vNqtCavfY3bHdfpw
holy frick asami yuma
The Legendary JAV Idol fr
Wtf are JAV idols a real thing? I thought idol culture was all about selling underage girls to middle aged men
i mean yeah that is what traditional japanese idol culture is, but a number of idols have made the transition to JAV, so sometimes people refer to them as JAV "idols," even though they may have never even been an idol in the first place
Chitose's Chitoses.
nice.
very NICE
Cheetos Feetos
Saeko's REAL cute in that lighting.
What's the fastest method to grind Shark Fins and Empty Cough Drops
Before the ending:
>Shark Fins
Fishing
>Empty Cough Drops
Only the Yokohama Dungeon, nothing else
>Post-game
>Shark Fins
Still fishing, sometimes Big Swell
>Empty Cough Drops
You get a metric ton at Kiryu's final story dungeon.
I didn't get a single Shark fin or tentacle after 70 reels.
It's just luck of the draw unfortunately. I spent ~600 dollars or so to get the 5 Shark Fins I needed, but I also got 8 Squid Tentacles in the meantime. The only other options are recycling (capped at 3 and 2 respectively) or farming the dungeons (15k and 18k points respectively, which is easily 30 minutes per item).
I just want to the probably the most baffling change to the entire series was the fishing minigame.
It's a fricking hassle just to talk to a guy over and over again just so I can continue fishing and I pray a mod comes out soon that atleast speeds it up to be more manageable
If you are lucky it's fishing for the sharks. DLC last 5 floors otherwise.
Question so does uncensored porn of Kson exist since she's technically an American porn actress?
Yamai was the only thing in this game I ended up liking from the story.
queendom
>we want the lightning returns audience
Yamai is in jail he won't be coming back
He'll get killed in prison which will make Ichiban worry for Ei-chan.
Aquanaut Joongi is just white.
he looks good with any hair color
owo
What are the stand out skills to inherit?
I liked scum scraper from Housekeeper and burning arrow from Samurai. Devil Twister on Desperado seemed really good too.
Males:
>Burning Arrow (Samurai)
>Pine, Bamboo, Plum (Samurai)
>Ahi Aloha (Aquanaut)
>Jellyfish Juice (Aquanaut)
>Relentless Dragon's Dance (Action Star)
>Wonder wienertail (Host)
>Essence of Showboating (Linebacker)
>Poisoned Cloudburst (Desperado)
Females:
>Scum Scraper (Housemaid)
>Bubble Bale (Housemaid)
>Essence of Natural Healing (Geodancer)
>Miraculous Voice (Idol, good when you don't have much MP)
>Most of the Tennis Ace skills
>Vital Vibration (Night Queen)
From what I've tested around with at least.
>Males
Ichiban should give himself Hero's Healing. Hero's Blessing is completely pointless because you have the equivalent of like 40 Phoenix Downs you can easily buy. Hero's Encouragement and Hero's Flair are also good support skills.
Burning Arrow (Samurai) is an ASAP on all males, doesn't matter if they're physical attackers or not.
Glory Awaits (Samurai) is a good thing to have for a male support like Ichiban.
Relentless Dragon's Dance (Action Star) is like a 2.5x damage buff on your next attack, incredibly useful.
Trippy Flipper Ripper (Aquanaut) is a great Frost skill that sucks enemies into itself and has a massive range but the damage is so-so, and in like 90% of uses it buffs Agility.
Inker to the Blinker (Aquanaut) has also been a nice magic attack to inflict Blind and it hits enemies close to the guy you're targeting too.
More often than not I've found Poisoned Cloudburst (Desperado) is really helpful but maybe that's just me. It just has a great range and inflicts poison.
Mask of Fertility (Pyrodancer) is pretty helpful on a support if you need a male healer. It's a nice 150ish-200 HP per turn and lasts I think 5 turns?
Cooler Shower (Linebacker) is pretty fantastic sustain if you need a heal + defense buff.
Some people on Legend seem to imply Essence of Surf Twister (Aquanaut) is a really good Essence to have.
>Females
Thousand Stings Justsu (Kunoichi) is a must have, the bees tend to give like half of an enemy crowd stun and its damage isn't too bad either.
Scum Scraper (Housekeeper) is a low cost buff remover.
If you're not at Legend yet some female party member should have Money Sucker (Housekeeper) because it's the best way to make money.
People also seemed to talk up Essence of Clean-Up Chasm (Housekeeper) for the damage?
Essence of Natural Healing (Geodancer) if you're not using a healer.
Noisy Racket (Tennis Ace) is an ATK and MAG debuff that costs virtually nothing.
I got a lot of mileage out of Cloudburst too, seemed like it did good damage for its range, I feel like it didn't apply poison super often though. Honestly I didn't notice status effects coming up a lot with anything I did, but maybe I just didn't mess with them that much.
Status effects are pretty uncommon unless you have the seal which increases their chance of success. Most floor items apply them pretty consistently as well.
I wanna point out that Kunoichi,s Agi scaling skills work well as inherited skills on Seonhee because assassin's ultimate armor buffs Agi like 50% of the time on turn start.
Good Kiryu send off my ass. Daidoji's gonna kill him once he steps out of the hospital
>Non-canon game had an actual good send off
>8 shit the bed and undid it.
Nah bro Ichiban's gonna team up with Haruka and kick the Daidoji's ass.
They broke the agreement, not him. They should kill themselves.
Daidoji are jobbers anyway, Kiryu in a wheelchair would kick their ass
>Both Daidoji and Kiryu are wheelchair-bounded
The cripple fight between the two would be kino
I'm trying to visualize the dynamic intro to a wheelchair v. wheelchair fight but nothing's clicking
Daidoji's been dead for like 7 years though. We literally saw it happen.
>Boss wheels in.
>Drifts into a kick with his useless legs.
>Kiryu blocks it by tipping his wheelchair to the side.
>This sends Kiryu flying into the sky and he rights the wheelchair in midair to land safely before turning to him.
>Kiryu now speeds over to the other guy.
>Rides off of a ramp into a punch but misses.
>Wheelchair guy smirks and punches him in retaliation.
>Kiryu "GUH"s and then wheellchair guy goes for a speedy punch past him but Kiryu blocks it with his forehead.
>Chuck Greene - A Man Without His Zombrex
I meant the new boss
Ah right. We'd have to have Kiryu still having Ichiban's schizo delusions because he's tripping on his meds or something but it could work. The entire moveset would be him attacking with missiles and guns and all that.
i miss my man chuck
At first I thought Eiji was Nishitani II
Does it become cost effective to use poundmates later?
>yakuza 7 ends with young master getting betrayed by the man he was jerking off the whole game, dying in the arms of the man who he learned always wanted to be there for him
>y7 plays it off like the bleach japan guy is some untouchable political opponent for the next game where ichiban takes down the corrupt government like yakuza 1
>Has cutscenes of ichiban attending both funerals refusing to take a dna test to find out of arikawa was his real father because all that matters is his bond with the boss and his young master
>Yakuza 8 begins by telling you the guy got caught 3 blocks down the road and was immediately arrested and then the guy who was sent to prison for killing the seiryu clan head tells ichiban arikawa was his daddeh and to go on an all expenses paid vacation to Hawaii to meet his mom
Yakuza 7 has a better naruto ending than Naruto
YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH A FISH ON YOUR BACK, BOY
>Judgment 3 is gonna have Yagami expose the Daidoji
>Doing so makes the truth about the ship in Onomichi and other shady shit come to light
>Daidoji collapses, now Kiryu is free
>Yag is now becomes the target
Holy kino
RGG secretly building Yagami to be the one who takes down the Daidoji thus making Judgment part of the main series would be extremely kino.
>thus making Judgment part of the main series
Kiryu meets Kaito and Higashi in Gaiden, and Sugiura and the computer neet have a cameo in 8, also Zhao had a cameo in Judgment 2.
What was the point of hiring Sugiura as a PI in 8 anyway?
It was just a neat little callback that they're still there in Ijincho.
I know, I've played both games. Those were good fanservice moments but Yagami getting involved with the Daidoji would be actually important.
And maybe having the gang appearing in these two games means that they're trying to fully connect both series.
give me back my gravure photoshoot minigame
i was so bummed that those two models in kiwami 2 only did gravure and no JAV
why did they have to put kiryu in the corner during the FMV sequences for that minigame anyway? to get past the ratings board?
i never thought it about it that way, maybe. rgg devs could seriously capitalize on the coomer crowd by just making spinoff mobile dating sims with gravure idols atp, but maybe they're trying to shy away from that since the series is going in the direction away from that kinda thing. then again maybe not since ichiban was literally raised in a soapland
Why isn't there a party buff that boosts agility?
wheres the vtuber porn
Moose, what toku is Kiryu referencing with his pound mates animation?
Not Moose, but I was reminded of Hibiki's transformation
Haven't even gotten to the split yet, I'm still leveling for the Hawaiian Haunt's EX floor in chapter 5. Ichiban is very clearly Rider #1 and Essence of Dolphin Dive is a Rider Kick with the included "TOH!". I think it's Zero-One's.
does anyone have an hd render of seonhee's hawaii portrait please
the one of her in the sunglasses
7/8 only gay here. So what the frick is the Daidoji faction and why do they care that Kiryu remains anonymously "dead"? I just did the last life link with Date where they basically force Kiryu to go back to being a friendless nobody and it's still never explained why he has to stay dead to protect Haruka or whatever. Fine, maybe don't go running around picking fights as Kiryu, but why can't he even just keep in touch with a handful of friends? Wtf is the Daidoji's problem?
The world needs to think that Kiryu is dead because of the secrets he knows about The Daidoji, particularly the giant battleship they hid in Hiroshima which is the climax of Yakuza 6. Date is basically the only one "allowed" to reach out to Kiryu because he was the witness to the deal they made and is used as collateral to keep Kiryu in line. Some very specific circumstances in the later chapters of Infinite Wealth change the deal a little, mostly due to the incredible benefits Kiryu has given The Daidoji with Akane and the events of Gaiden. In return they let him live out the final months of his life in relative normalcy, largely because he won't live much longer, and the Tatara Channel exposed that he was still alive to the globe.
It's more of a Judgement-series thing. But also goes back to earlier Yakuza.
Not spoilering anything, but "Citizens' Liberal Party"
You need to spend $50 plus tip to play Gaiden if you want to understand what is happening in 8.
>what the frick is the Daidoji faction
le big underground illuminati ass group that apparently is capable of everything except locating an old woman and a little girl.
>why do they care that Kiryu remains anonymously "dead"
Yakuza 6 spoilers: so Kiryu exposes the secret of Onomichi that was this big ass war ship that was built during WW2 and the Daidoji was supposed to keep it secret, at the final fight Kiryu gets shot but survives, then on a later scene he's shown on his room with a Daidoji agent basically threatening Kiryu so they make a deal that if they forge him a death certificate he will work for them and keep his mouth shut
You should play at least LAD Gaiden that game answers a lot of questions you may also have.
Why is an old ass WW2 warship so important? Most major militaries could sink that shit in seconds.
because it was built after Japan surrendered, that ship existing means that Japan was technically still at war and you know that's a bad thing.
Literally every country does that kinda shady shit non-stop, it's a nothingburger.
yeah but Japan's got exposed but then they make nothing out of it so yeah it was a nothingburger.
that means that the Daidoji did a hell of a work to somehow cover the damn thing again [/spoiler[
It didn't mean they were "still at war." It's explained that they continued work on the Yamato II to keep everyone working on it employed instead of throwing them to the wolves. Then they hid it because they were supposed to scrap it the second the Instrument of Surrender under the Potsdam conditions was signed. The conditions set by Potsdam were so severe that violating the terms of Surrender would have resulted in severe economic and political consequences for Japan in the immediate aftermath of the war, and they couldn't reveal that it was finished even well into the post-war era because it would be a giant smear on the good will Japan had accumulated in its accession to a western aligned country with first world standards. By 2016, it didn't matter much, but it showed that the recovery of Japan was based on a lie and that it was only the sheer benefit of the economic development that came later that prevented Japan from reneging on its surrender and not a legitimate cultural change based on the recognition of their misdeeds in the war. In essence, it was a massive scandal that if it happened in real life, would have totally rewritten the postwar history of Japan's relationship to the wider world. And more importantly it would raise the question of exactly how trustworthy any current Japanese government could be if they were willing to perpetuate something like that for so long just to save face.
Because of a multitude of reasons.
>Built during and after the Treaty of San Francisco was signed meaning Japan is still an aggressor and WW2 is still technically ongoing.
>In order to fund its creation, Daidoji and his buddies had to add in a bunch of loopholes that allow for the Japanese government to legally launder taxpayer money to Iwami Shipbuilding and their other ventures meaning Daidoji is using taxpayer money for whatever they want without them knowing.
>This means that if there was an audit of Japanese laws they basically need to scrap it and start from the ground up as it's rotten to the core which means a mess of issues for their legal system, their court system, their jails, etc.
>In order to actually build the thing Daidoji and his buddies used Japanese taxpayer money to take prisoners of war and traffic people from other countries, force them to build the thing, then summarily execute them when the job was done to keep word of it from spreading.
>They also had
Hirose assassinating most of the higher ups who worked on it that weren't super close to Daidoji or his friends, and then he spent decades killing anyone who even tried sniffing about it.
>Its existence means people now start asking questions, which now means Daidoji, his family, his collaborators, and their families all go from being "Heroes of Japan" for taking them out of WW2 to absolute monsters who tried to keep the war going along with assassinating and enslaving people on the taxpayer's dime.
This is point by point laid out to you in the story, outside of the Treaty of San Francisco thing (Which Japanese people would know about due to history classes) it's all told to you point blank.
Did you not play 6? They built an underwater dock in a harbor.
Not that anon but i needed that recap, thanks anon. Was this all explained in 6? I played it ages ago and have shit memory
Most of it is explained in 6, just some stuff is relying on the player knowing history and they don't quite let the info dump digest as long as they could've
>Was this all explained in 6?
Yes, like I said, you're just expected to know about the Treaty of San Fransisco because of Japanese history classes you were supposed to take when you in school in Japan. The stuff regarding the law is half explained because you're explained what their actions did to affect it and why it's bad, but you're not fully told what kind of effect it would have on society and that's meant to be something you sort of understand through what it implies.
>threatening Kiryu
They were making a bribe. Kiryu was the one that came up with "yo just fake my death to keep the secret ezpz".
Seriously you can tell that was the hand of God speaking through him for that one scene, why the frick wouldn't he just take the money and go back to living at the orphanage for the rest of his life?
Because Kiryu severely underestimated his legendary impact on everyone around him. The notion was sound : if everyone believed him to be dead, no one would ask what happened, and therefore no one else would know about the Daidoji. Unfortunately for him, no one for one second believed him to be dead and that just made everyone curious on why the hell he'd just up and vanish.
>why the frick wouldn't he just take the money and go back to living at the orphanage for the rest of his life?
Because the Yakuza were still around, 3-6 all happened because the Yakuza were still around, and 5 and 6's villains even accounted for Kiryu doing things and actively tried harming him specifically. In his mind if he stays there with the Yakuza still around he'll still have to deal with Kurosawa-tier plots. It's not like the Great Dissolution happened until years later for him to have knowledge of, Daigo and Watase weren't even thinking of it until Watase was thrown in the slammer.
Is each character's base stats documented anywhere?
I'm surprised that Kiryu only has one unique class. Feels like a missed opportunity to throw in an Agent class too.
Asian women need to be pumped up until they overload and blow.
I volunteer to fill up Kson
i'm surprised how RGGS hasn't been sued to frick yet given how many japanese games they satirized
Copyright laws aren't the same in Japan that's how Jojo is able to get away with naming everything after bands and songs.
How do you hide a big warship in an era of satellite imaging anyway. That shit would be found in seconds by China or something.
Play the game. It was in a secret underwater dock, which was way more impressive than the ship itself.
Did RGG just blow through every idea they had for Ichiban in 7? Absolutely nothing interesting happens to him or involving him for the entire game. Even his dramatic ending with the sappy music was just a repeat of his ending with Aoki in 7.
So what are the Daidoji going to do if Kiryu actually survives the treatment?
I feel like the ending very heavily implies he's not with the Daidoji anymore. I don't think they care if he dies or not if he's not with them.
>I don't think they care if he dies or not if he's not with them
Than why didnt just let him go sooner?
Kiryu asked them to keep him hidden at the end of 6. My assumption as to why he was let go was some combination of his identity already being revealed via the vtuber and him being old and sick anyway.
>Make a hit piece exposing Kiryu's identity
>Reveals her face at the end
Yup, Chitose is gonna be found suicided by 5 bullets on the back inside her office
the last series i was this thoroughly invested in was metal gear solid, i enjoyed 7 a lot
real homie
>Bryce's VA.
Oh my dear lord I am in stitches here. I thought you were all exaggerating. You can't just have that voicework and also throw in this at the exact same time, it's way too funny.
Do u dou Parekana's teachings?
>See the bird mural in the background
>"Man, someone is going to pose as a fricking angel with that, aren't they?"
>1 minute later bryce shows up
I love Bryce as a idea, the whole "cult leader" being the boss of a modern day RPG works so well.
but ya his English makes it HARD to take him seriously sometimes
Yamai is the coolest, Majima who?
Can't wait for Yakuza 0-2 where we're playing as young Yamai in the 90s.
can we get a gravure minigame with old chunky japanese girls then
Yamai and Obatarian
The Essence of Chemotherapy
i wonder what they'll do with ichiban in the next game. will he ever get roped into the underground coliseum shenanigans like majima and kiryu?
I can't believe Honolulu didn't have a secret underground arena.
i was bummed out too, i wanna see what stupid american fighters they can churn out
Bro, your bum fights?
I ignored that minigame so hard I forgot it existed.
That's pretty much what the sujimon battles are.
>LAD 9 post credit scene
>ichiban for some reason is in the underground coliseum waiting for his next opponent
>ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN THE TAILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Should i have played gaiden before infinite wealth? Kiryu shows up out of nowhere on a mission with cancer and has like 5 months to live and i feel like im missing something
It makes less sense if you play Gaiden, believe it or not.
The cancer plot is part of this game, something from Gaiden. But Gaiden is amazing anyway, will give you some background for Kiryu working as a Daidoji agent so play it.
Not something from Gaiden*
It gives you context for Hanawa and what Kiryu was doing but the Daidoji are nothing like they're presented in Gaiden, stuff that happened in Gaiden doesn't happen in 8, the Story Demo has completely different events and dialogue than what's in the actual game even though it uses the same scenes, Kiryu constantly uses his name and lets everyone call him "Kiryu" instead of "Joryu" or "Taichi Suzuki", etc. If anything it'll just make you ask why the hell they made everyone so competent in Gaiden and Kiryu so hell bent on not using his name since 8's such a whiplash.
It's still a fantastic game though.
Akame...
JORYU
Yet another character to be forgotten in the annals of the Yakuza franchise.
We'll probably see her in 9 considering she's Sotenbori's Florist equivalent.
You mean the florist that just up and stopped existing out of nowhere after 5? Hell even in 5 he exists for like one scene and then poof back to the annals.
I mean, Komaki was in that exact same situation outside of RGGO up until 8.
I'm pretty sure "Damaging ailment" means Bleed, Burn, Cold, or Poison while "Restrictive ailment" means Sleep, Charm, Drunk, Stunned, or Paralyzed.
Only played 0 and I noticed that the non-Japanese characters (except for Tachibana and his sister) were always portrayed negatively.
Wait until you play 8 when most colored people are bad guys and thugs
>get to the point in chapter 9 where tattoo lady asks you for 10 grand
>have $360,000 just sitting there
>still have to walk back out and in
They had a contingency for this with the taco stand guy, weird they overlooked it here, especially when it's quite easy to get that amount between dondeko island, Part Time Hero, and the dungeons.
>They had a contingency for this with the taco stand guy,
They did? I was forced to do the crazy eats mini game anyway I'm pretty sure.
As in they at least address you already having the money and justify still having to do the mini game.
If you have the money, Ichiban says, "Oh, I already have $30." to which Kiryu replies, "We should still probably have a way to get some money in case we need it."
short hair chitose > dreadlocks chitose
t bh
Does lowering an enemy's electric resistance count as a restrictive or damaging ailment, or does it act as a debuff
I'm a bit moronic so I just want to make sure I'm on the right page.
In 7 the stat ups from levelling jobs only went into the selected job and would vanish if you selected another job. The only permanent ones were the stat ups you see in the menu.
In 8 all the stat ups from levelling jobs are permanent now? And that's why it's usually 2 or 3 points per job level. Looking in the menu you can get bigger permanent stat ups if you level past the kiwami skills?
No, it's the exact same system as 7 as far as I understand. Any stat buff you see in the "Check Skills" menu is shared. So the stuff at level 5, 10-12, 16, 26, 28, and 30+. The stuff you get from leveling the job which you see in the level up screens just factor in when you are in that job, that's how they change up the stats fairly drastically.
I havent played any of the beat em up Yakuzas and for the first 20 hours of the game i thought the taxi driver in infinite wealth was one of the guys from yakuza 5 that sang the dame dame song
Rip Ichiban
>OI OSSAN TEME
Nani?
I feel like in some ways LAD Gaiden was the better game over Infinite Wealth
Gaiden has the hardest hitting scene in the entire series but as a whole I prefer Infinite Wealth
I miss Kiryu's absolute chad walk animation from 3.
ITS NOT A SHOW SHITHEAD
>Smackdown
終わらせる !
Nani
anyone know where i can buy the grindy potions that level your characters quickly?
Minigames for about 1/4th of the most expensive weapon. You can only buy one from each minigame store.
>rolled Kiwami Violet and Kiwami Gold in the normal gacha
Is this enough to carry me through the entire league?
Kiwami Violet can solo a lot and is the best base game unit for sure.
Kiwami Gold is good for his speed and healing but not really using as a fighter unless you need to since he hits for like half of what Violet hits.
You need a third unit for speed.
It's enough to carry you hard but you're still gonna need at least two other characters even for the Stadium since your front row will die unless you get really good at hitting tier 3s.
Those guys shouting something like "I REALLY WANT TO KILL YOU" make me laugh every time.
It actually offensive how bad they treated Han asiaticie
>Joins party in the second to last chapter
>As well as nerfing Hitman to the ground
Don't forget
>Even with having the lowest amount of playtime of the cast, he STILL somehow leaves the party temporarily
What annoyed me about him is every time he joined the party they just immediately snuck him onto my team.
>still one of the best party members stat wise
>great dialogue and interactions despite coming late
>lets me replace that turbo normie Chitose
He's the best party member post Kiryu leaving
OFFISAH HERP I BIN LOP
Tabk yuu suhr
I like that superman punch combo finisher Kiryu gets with his Dragon Engine moveset (6/Kiwami 2).
Holy shit
>The segway is a substory reward
I completely forgot, frick.
Have they brought back Reina yet
Isnt she dead?
Yeah but that's not really a factor
GIWTWM
Having town customization game mode might be good for Judgment 3 because you can allow Yagami to create his own office after the one in Kamurocho got burned down due to plot related cause
im enjoying kiryu's stance gimmick a lot
i just wish heat actions were more available
>First NG+ battle with the crew, everyone has base weapons and deals 1-5 damage per attack
>Adachi's Arrest skill is the savior and kills all 3 instantly
The one time you're helpful, Detective class.
Damn, I thought I could shortcut the Lustrous Steel farm process by going to NG+ and buying from the exclusive shop, but I guess I'd have to wait for Chapter 8 for that to unlock.
>Mod that adds Lustrous Steel to the Treasure Select pawn shop
Thank you PC modders for saving me hours
Kiwami 2 is cool and all, but MAN I wish they gave Susumu Terajima another role besides a recast of Kawara in the series. He's a character actor legend in Japan.
It would've been so cool to see him as Sawashiro, but Shinichi Tsutsumi is great too.
I'll be honest, I don't play this game, but I'm only here hoping you guys post more women from the game
just go to rule34 or w/e ?
what a LOSER
The hardest boss in the game was Robo Michio
Can't say I'm surprised
Destructo Beam
>15 solid minutes of buffing, healing, debuffing, and throwing items at everyone while Eric does Scrubdown in between the Pyrodancer healing over time.
>Mess up and don't notice Ichiban's gonna die on the next turn.
>Next run actually equip accessories instead of everyone having job EXP equips and beat him in like 8 minutes with far less to worry about because of amulets, Pareo of Happiness, and more.
Nothing personnel Robo Michio. I loved that fight.
The fight doesn't go nearly as bad if you have Cheetos as a Hula Dancer and spamming the one extreme move that is an aoe full heal + status cleanser. I'd buff more but since idk how long some buffs last I just stuck to full on offense
I’m a fan of Ono Michio and I enjoy his antics.
Same, I just want them to pace themselves on how often they have him everywhere. Even Ichiban outright brings attention to it in 8.
I had Flaming Hot Cheetos as Geomancer since I was just leveling random jobs on everyone but wasn't even close to Essence level yet. I think she was like 17? 18? Worst part was I went into that fight literally one fight away from having the Linebacker move that would force aggro and buff my defense which would have made it a bit easier.
I hope the next step in the series is Kiryu and Kasuma rebuilding the Yakuza as a semi-legit enterprise. Like a group of Nip and asiatic Batmen.
Holy shit Nanba leave already so Kiryu can plough that pink pubed footbawd
>kiryu
>ploughing anyone
lmao he'll just sulk about muh yumi
I can never get all the drama behind "Muh Yumi" because there was almost no build up to them at all. Didn't even seem like Kiryu knows her all that well prior to going to prison. Like she was a bar girl who he buys a small gift for and he treats it like it was a girl he dated for 5 years and was madly in love with.
>there was almost no build up to them at all
Blame Sega for not doing Yakuza - 1: orphan Kiryu's deliinquent adventures. He, Nishikiyama, and Yumi are childhood friends that all grew up together in Sunflower Orphanage.
>They grew up together at the orphanage where he fell in love with her
I know but it just didn't feel very impactful since all of that is just kinda told in passing. Game could've benefited from a cutscene or section at the beginning of the game showing Kiryu/yumi/Nishiki hanging out when they're young.
They grew up together at the orphanage where he fell in love with her. He was going for the childhood friend route and then Yakuza 1 happened.
yakuza 1's story just isn't very good. Nishiki also has like 2 scenes in the entire game despite being the main villain and Kiryu's sworn brother.
Yeah it would've been nice if they'd made a prequel to 1 that dealt with any of that and wasn't just a big blob of nothing but in the 80s.
My last supper? Why your delectable feet my dear.

As much as people complain about him not having as much personal connection to Ichiban or having less development compared to past RGG bosses, I did kinda enjoy his cheesy role as a JRPG penultimate boss.
That bald chuuni frick in the yokohama dungeon got to experience getting stepped on by Seonhee. IT SHOULD HAD BEEN ME
Thoughts on a full magic team?
The ex sector version of the fight gave me status ailments irl.
that geomijul frick salivating at the thought of stripping seonghui nude made me mutter under my breath "literally me" kek
Did I miss something or did they not explain why Bryce wanted Lani on his island?
maybe he liked feeding children to his large octopus?
UUUUUUUUOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH LANI CUNNI EROTIC
or something
They never explained it outside of the first time it's mentioned where Bryce wanted to shoot her. I don't know if it was so he could ensure that she was dead by killing her, kidnapping and brainwashing her in order to make her his slave and prevent any future claims to the throne that may threaten his legitimacy, or something else.
Ai Sayama status?
alive and well
Does her model in game look good? Properly thick?
well gaiden uses live-action footage so yeah, she looks great dolled up!
Frick, thought she got a model like Kson
Gaiden doesn't have models of the cabaret club girls. Kson has a model in Infinite Wealth due to her winning the grand prize for that Yakuza contest, though I thought the grand prize was for her to be a playable character, not just an NPC.
Thank fricking christ we were all spared from having to deal with playable kson
>not getting her beat up and KOed in every single fight
Might as well post this too, didn't even know it was possible for enemies to mess up like this since this wasn't an actual evasion via stats, this was the enemy AI just straight up missing somehow.
Yamai was pure kino, give him a spin off game NOW RGG
the biggest cuck of the entire franchise and that's saying something
>he liked a hag that one time long ago
>now he can only ever get his dick hard with hags
What a terrible ailment.
it's only a matter of time before they turn the tables and give us a HOST club simulator with japanese and korean hosts...
Those Black Panther Yakuza PSP games got fan translated. Are they good on their own merit? In terms of story and gameplay? I'm kind of Yakuza'd out but I'll give them a try if they're better than average. I think a lot of my fatigue is just seeing the same old faces again so a new cast would be refreshing
BP1's story is just serviceable, you're basically only there for Tatsuya's personality for like 70% if not 80% of the game.
BP2's much better in basically every regard.
Both of them play like normal Yakuza games outside of the combat so if you're burnt out don't play them right now.
>play like normal Yakuza games outside of the combat
Oh is the combat that different?
Completely. Webm is an example. You have a stamina system, your body parts take damage and you start staggering or taking more damage if they get more and more wounded, there's a high/neutral/low attacking system, you have parries, you have sway attacks that are way more effective than in mainline games, you're constantly locked onto an enemy unless you use the run button, you have charge attacks which you can swap out, Heat is now in three tiers with Yellow being environmental attacks, you have 20 styles to work with, each style has its own taunt, etc.
BP2 adds way more mechanics like breakable environmental walls for insta-kills, you can equip passive buffs to styles now, Yellow Heat is now something that happens if you throw enemies at objects instead of taking up a separate Heat type, charge attacks now give passives like gaining Heat, the arena onlookers can grab you or your enemies, and more.
Looks janky as frick but I can appreciate it
i like them a lot, great ost, good gameplay, good characters. i like 1's ost and tatsuya's character development, but i prefer 2's gameplay and final boss theme more
The base stat disparity is massive. I want to use Adachi but he's just too fricking slow. (Joongi left, Adachi right)
i fixed him with reflex boosters but yeah it sucks.
>start NG+ at level 71
>remember everyone saying how hard it is and how even the tutorial fights will frick you up
>every mandatory fight so far has been a cinch with enemies going down in 1-2 hits
Damn, did job stats being fixed make that much of a difference?
I don't think the individual stats make too much of a difference except for HP/MP, since I noticed after the change that my Kiryu went up like 300 HP and 100 MP, which is quite a difference from before.
Wait just a fricking second
Adachi's Arrest saves the day (or just use battle items)
oh shit, thanks for reminding me of battle items, i was about to stack attack buffs and whittle them down 20 HP at a time
holy shit
tatsuya's black and gold tracksuit is clean as frick
Finished 0 and I'm going into Kiwami 1.
It is better? It is harder than 0?
What should I expect and what should I not expect?
kiwami 1 is ok. not great, but not terrible.
the majima everywhere system is annoying as frick, especially when trying to level up the "dragon of dojima" style
less content than 0
but I thought Majima was amazing
he's alright to me. normies latched onto him like flies on shit after 0 blew up, but i thought he was just ok.
i much prefer date-san, shinada and akiyama
>30 hours of chapter 6 flashing before my eyes.
I'm in danger.
>It is better? It is harder than 0?
No and no.
>What should I expect
DoD as a style will be unusable unless you spend several hours fighting Majima while the 0 styles have all been either nerfed or changed in some ways.
Style changing has way more ways to do it instantly and is far more contextual. Later in the game just doing an attack allows you to instantly switch without an animation.
Bosses will now heal once they lose half their health. You need to get the Kiwami attacks in I think the Tech tree to counter this, otherwise you need to perform a generic Heat Action of some kind (Weapons are usually the best bet). Aim for them immediately once you get EXP.
Substories will mostly be scams. There's a few unique ones but they're mostly scams. They also added a couple new ones and you'll be able to tell because they focus on content from 0.
You have less content than in 0 by a significant margin because they just added a handful of things onto 1 like a couple gambling minigames, karaoke, mahjong, shogi, Mesuking, and Pocket Circuit.
Two of the chapters are filler and do nothing for the story at all.
Majima Everywhere will drive you insane because he won't stop interrupting you unless you completely ignore activating him.
>what should I not expect?
You are going back to the first game with a makeover and a couple new things. You are not going to some brand new game. Nearly all the writing will be from the first game.
Majima is The Joker, he is not the Majima from 0. The Majima from 0 is from 4 onward. If you like Majima in 0 you will not find him here.
Any characters that were hyped up in 0 are literal whos. The new cutscenes try to help that situation out but it only really kind of helps Nishiki out.
>Majima Everywhere will drive you insane because he won't stop interrupting you unless you completely ignore activating him.
Is is actually Majima EVERYWHERE? I thought he was going to be like Mr Shakedown being a piece of shit. In 0, the Majima cabaret bar brought me to almost quitting the game because I didn't have money to farm shit, is the Majima system actually worse in comparison?
Majima has two modes:
>A "Wandering" mode where he wanders around the map like Shakedown.
>An "Event" mode where specific locations, wandering NPCs, and random objects trigger a fight.
You have to enter in and out of a building with no Heat to check the map and know if he's wandering around or going to encounter you when you walk near something. Webm is what an "Event" Majima encounter looks like.
Huh, Essence of Masked Medium generally damages you after the move finishes. However, if you use it as the killing blow on the final guy in a combat, it won't damage you. Pretty niche stuff, but neat.
Not only that, but each bug, stone, fish, etc. has individual levels the more you collect (ex. 300 for the most common mushroom, and 15 for the rarest item), so have fun farming them.
I don't know if I can mentally care for maxing out every single thing but we'll see. So far it doesn't seem terrible outside of maybe the bugs. Animal Crossing fishing for 3 copies of everything felt worse than this.
What's the best strategy for Amon? He revives the adds when he hits 50% HP, so its tempting to just focus him down but i feel like you'd just get outDPSd by the adds. Maybe kill all adds, fight Amon until he revives them then kill them again?
I feel like if you leave the extra Amons up, you'll get bursted down in no time. My strategy was to do Kasuya > Jiro > Sando (I forgot his name, just that it was an S) > Jo because Kasuya is extremely annoying at <50% HP (he gets a huge evasion buff and deals a lot of damage, plus he does Tag Team: Two Dragons with Jo which hurts a lot) and Jiro does Fight Night with a lot of grapple attacks which really puts the hurt on. When Kasuya gets to 50% HP, that's when I popped Dragon's Resurgence since he can't avoid those attacks. Make sure to heal up before getting Jo to 50% because he'll always do the big 4-man attack (he targeted Kiryu for me and almost killed him) and then just repeat the same strategy of going after the 4. Jo on his own does barely anything, and he's most threatening when at least one other Amon is alive.
I just did the same thing I do with every boss, spam Glory Awaits to get everyone at 3 stacks then the Action Star move that charges physcal skills to nuke them all down
and then Wong Toe's son was never brought up again in the ending
8's story had a new writer in charge(Kazunobu Takeuchi, who was mostly a game design guy at RGG until now) alongside Yokoyama, so it's no wonder the story is kind of shit, they got a guy with practically no writing experience to write the game.
would explain why the game has such juvenile humor compared to past entries
Sex with Seonhee.
I don't know if I just never tried it before or it got changed in a more recent update, but I noticed that there's a lot more places on Dondoko Island to put down furniture. For example, you can put stuff near Kasuga's House or on the Lake now, and some of the paths where I barely fit a car into now let you build a ways back.
Ichiban's house always had a ton of room to put stuff. That's where I was stuffing all the daily material installations before realizing i'd have to dedicate an entire section of the island to them.
just got back to japan with kiryu, is ichi returning to japan as well at some point in the game?
No, Kiryu is the party leader in Japan and Ichiban won't come back to Yokohama until Premium Adventure.
dang that sucks. my kiryu is severely underleved and getting his ass handed everywhere. i knew i should have finished the hawaiian haunt area before continuing on with the story
