America's release came after the fact and had no bearing on what it originally was developed as or released as. They originally intended for you to pay full price for it and only dropped the price in the west to ride the wave of 0 in the west. It was never them half-assing it, they thought it was worth full price originally. The 3-5 remasters also released at full price in Japan, them being cheap was a western thing.
I just wanted a retirement game for Kiryu, but they couldn't even deliver that.

You can't even do any combo moves with that, it's literally just spamming a button to do light attack punches over and over again until the game randomly decides to throw it one of the heavy attacks that transitions into one of those short duration heat moves and then you go back to spamming fast light punches.
why would you tell such a bad lie? It works exactly like his Extreme Heat Mode in Yakuza 6 and Kiwami 2, where you combo into heavy attacks after pressing your desired amount of light attacks

Kiryu seems to have the Son Goku problem. Too popular to be replaced. Looking at 3 it would have been the perfect place to completely forgo him from future games.
Yong was honestly the best voice actor in the English dub. dude was getting way to shit for auto tune karaoke when guess what? all the English karaoke sounds like shit.

One of the most important plot threads they've relied on for the past two games literally just gets written out with no real conclusion. That being Kiryu's slavery to the Daidoji literally just stops existing, with no scene explaining what happened or any ramifications to it, he just gets to be Kiryu again with no resolution to that plot point

Joryu is a codename, Suzuki is a clilvan name. you can't just call yourself "Joryu" one-name, when interacting with US customs you frickng moron, but you can when interacting with gang members and adjective handlers
Hanawa dies halfway through the game. The rest of the game you have a different Daidoji guy keeping tabs on Kiryu who tells you that Hanawa liked Kiryu and the final scene in the main story with any Daidoji guys is them being the way Ichiban's party gets to Hawaii quickly enough for the final boss. But there's still no actual scene showing they're willing to let Kiryu go, if anything the opposite happens when you finish the bucket list

i do not like his performance, I think the only thing he did well was screaming Ebina in the final boss fight, but I feel like that's not that hard to do. A lot of his performance is kind of weak, and he does this weird thing where at times you can tell he's speaking WAY too close to the mic and the quality is noticeably different because of it. It normally happens in scenes where Kiryu is playing things cool or depressing, like he's doing some kind of nerdy ASMR video and it just takes me out of any scene he does it in from what I saw in the streams

Not him but DeArrow, it's by the Sponsorblock guy. You have to scroll down when you install it and choose "I don't want to pay" if you don't want to, you get put on a list for like half a day, and then it will start working. It can replace titles, thumbnails, or both. The thumbnail replacements are usually worse, the title replacements are virtually always better even if they're sometimes longer than titles can be (Four lines)

Never gotten a bribe or a note from the higher ups saying "hey man you gotta say this is good" and I've reviewed at least 20 "high profile" games that should of gotten bribes.

One of the most important plot threads they've relied on for the past two games literally just gets written out with no real conclusion. That being Kiryu's slavery to the Daidoji literally just stops existing, with no scene explaining what happened or any ramifications to it, he just gets to be Kiryu again with no resolution to that plot point

Hanawa dies halfway through the game. The rest of the game you have a different Daidoji guy keeping tabs on Kiryu who tells you that Hanawa liked Kiryu and the final scene in the main story with any Daidoji guys is them being the way Ichiban's party gets to Hawaii quickly enough for the final boss. But there's still no actual scene showing they're willing to let Kiryu go, if anything the opposite happens when you finish the bucket list

i do not like his performance, I think the only thing he did well was screaming Ebina in the final boss fight, but I feel like that's not that hard to do. A lot of his performance is kind of weak, and he does this weird thing where at times you can tell he's speaking WAY too close to the mic and the quality is noticeably different because of it. It normally happens in scenes where Kiryu is playing things cool or depressing, like he's doing some kind of nerdy ASMR video and it just takes me out of any scene he does it in from what I saw in the streams
Kiryu, Date and Akiyama set up a meeting with Haruka. Kiryu goes to Serena, but only listens in to what she has to say because what she said made him feel like she's strong enough without him. When Kiryu leaves, he finds out the Daidoji are pissed at him and beat Date near half to death, Kiryu fights some Daidoji dudes but promises he'll never try to meet Haruka again and stop talking to his old friends and once his mission from Hanawa is over, he'll go back to being the Daidoji's whipping boy. He and Date exchange some final words and Kiryu leaves

You have to scroll down when you install it and choose "I don't want to pay" if you don't want to, you get put on a list for like half a day, and then it will start working. It can replace titles, thumbnails, or both. The thumbnail replacements are usually worse, the title replacements are virtually always better even if they're sometimes longer than titles can be (Four lines)

I mean when a quarter of your population is old people that helped prop up the country and make it the economic juggernaut it is today (even with 30 years of recession, Japan is the 3rd largest economy by Nominal GDP in the world), then yeah stealing from those people their reward for how much they gave to their country does come across as really fricking evil.
This. People who haven't paid in don't really think much about the long-term ramifications of this shit and how social security, which is what Japan has but under a different name, works. The entire idea is you pay in, and when you're older, you get most of the money back when you're no longer working in order to help you out when you have no income and are living off of your saved retirement. You don't get it all back, but part of the social contract of the concept is that idea that everyone pools in and some of it goes towards those who couldn't put in as much, because we're all in this together and are helping each other out. That is why no country that has SS will EVER defund it, no matter how much it eats into the national budget. Because if it's cut, and then everyone who put money into it doesn't get that money back as compensation, do you know what that's called? The government robbing you. Getting rid of SS without compensation, more than anything, is what will cause people to rise up against their government. So someone that actively steals from that system is by design one of the scummiest people you can imagine.
