If it was starting from 5 and not after 5 then I still don't think it's a big deal.
We just got 4.5, so for all we know they had just finished with that and were still on the writing part for chapter 5 and hadn't even done sprites or CGs.
Eh, they got a frickton of time before season 3 anyway, and the amount of CGs to be done is really not that big of a deal if you look at the first 3 chapters and then chapter 4, it's like 20 to 30 images top with a few edits every there and then when you look at what the old artist was doing.
Worst case, they just release in batches instead of all at once like with chapter 4 so they got more time and take 2 weeks instead of 1 between releases.

Their last announcement before radio silence stated they won't use VellMori's art starting with chapter 5, so unless they go back on that yes they do have to redraw everything.
If it was starting from 5 and not after 5 then I still don't think it's a big deal.
We just got 4.5, so for all we know they had just finished with that and were still on the writing part for chapter 5 and hadn't even done sprites or CGs.
Eh, they got a frickton of time before season 3 anyway, and the amount of CGs to be done is really not that big of a deal if you look at the first 3 chapters and then chapter 4, it's like 20 to 30 images top with a few edits every there and then when you look at what the old artist was doing.
Worst case, they just release in batches instead of all at once like with chapter 4 so they got more time and take 2 weeks instead of 1 between releases.
