This alone almost would have been good enough for me to call it my favorite Canto. The actual story was wonderful, but not forcing me into another arbitrary dungeon was a treat to the senses that I was dreading the entire way through.

Erlking targeting Heath allows him to make good use of his passive 5 protection.
Erlking hitting Heath is also sometimes optimal as he hits with lots of sinking and paralysis.
SS is almost designed to work around Erlking.
The only thing you need to be wary of is to not get hit so much that he goes to -45.
BL Meursault, BL Faust, BL Don, Captain Ishmael/Pequod Heathcliff, Cinq Sinclair, Maid Ryoshu. You're hitting pride res every turn, everyone wants and is getting a ton of poise, Faust has a little bind to enable Sinclair and Ryoshu harder, you have two IDs hitting 6+ speed every turn who can clash anything.
Your Cinq team? Your bind? She has a S2 with atk weight, that alone makes her worthwhile.

I thought most of the encounters and bosses were pretty well designed but the plot was shit and the distortion going nowhere was really disappointing. I also haven't cared much for the IDs so far, not big on sinking and I know it's the whole gimmick of the district but them all being in brown and grey suits is lame.

I have every single ID and EGO. I rotate teams each MD, and must say burn is the most fun one. It's just so satisfying to see all the enemies disintegrate at the end of the turn, plus burn deluge is kino.

Though today I finally used Der Shoutis on a Burn team and she erased like 700 HP from a boss by the third or fourth turn iirc, I dont get why people dont like her besides 7th bullet being literally impossible to appear outisde the Green Dawn event.
For mirror dungeons I'd say poise since the BL team is already strong and it has the most good EGO gifts, I don't think there are any that aren't worth their cost and lucky pouch is probably the best of the combined gifts.

No, It's almost a 1-to-1 representation of Ahab's way of thinking. It desperately chases for it's Dream, using and dragging others alongside it to achieve it's goal. It's dream(Buoys) puncture and causes it pain, but it also serves as it's guide. That's why when you destroy the buoys it gets paralysis, because it doesn't know what to do.

I have every single ID and EGO. I rotate teams each MD, and must say burn is the most fun one. It's just so satisfying to see all the enemies disintegrate at the end of the turn, plus burn deluge is kino.

The only time it actually winds up being a problem is if people keep dying in the facility without Abnos being suppressed, and it's very possible (due to its story suggesting they kept using it to suppress Abnos over and over again) that it was teetering on the edge over and over again until they finally pushed it to its limit.
