Talisman seems like a poor man's smoke. Even more so since it gives fixed damage (rupture) instead of percentage, and there's only one way to put them on the opponent.
Seems like it can scale pretty well depending on how much support a team has. Something like 6 rupture per hit on an enemy that has stacked up count could end up pretty significant.
True but look at his S3. The first coin spends Talisman on himself (?) and *then* gives Talisman, but all Talisman is lost at turn end. You *have* to have him with 2 skill slots or more to get any use out of his S3 and we don't know how much Talisman the S3 spends before giving Talisman to the target.
For example, if a full use of Proliferating Talismans gives 3 Talisman and then Rupturing Talisman spends 2 before giving the target Talisman, he's only going to drop a single Talisman on them. +1 Rupture potency with every attack for that round (and this is assuming Sinclair's speed is high enough to act before everyone else) isn't all that great. And you would be rolling 4 non-maintaining coins to get the Rupture Count from his S3, that would ruin 99% of Rupture stacks.

Correction: At X+ count all Talisman is lost at turn end. Same as the talisman mook enemies, you keep it until you reach 9 or whatever the number is for our version. The skill 3 you use when you're at 6 to both keep yourself from going too high and basically inflicting a permanent +1 rupture per hit to the enemy.
If it was all lost at EVERY turn end it would be definitely be garbage, but if it can go up to say 8 on both the user and a particular enemy that could become very potent. An easy 4-6 rupture per hit from the talisman holder themselves at the least, though I do half suspect unless his coin stats are particularly good the ID itself will be relegated to passive duty.

It doesn't have the ability to stack up infinitely but it also lacks the pretty big drawback and has a lot of potential for damage as long as its used together with other sources of rupture count. I feel like the original version would be a lot worse outside of an ID that also had fantastic numbers.

It's the most likely option because PM doesn't like being nice without strings attached. Just look at auto sweep. In every other gacha, it's there to save time but in Limbus, you get punished for using it. Them giving you most of the rewards on floor 3 rather than all 5 means the enemies will most likely have ridiculous stats that make it a slog to play. The free daily entry being removed along with this being a daily btw

Assuming 13 nodes like railway 1 they basically have enough stuff just from this chapter to fill railway 2, not to mention possible event enemies. I wonder if there will still be new fights and what will be cut to make room (I can definitely see some of them being merged into multiple waves of a single node like Foxbaek and the other lobotomy EGO mooks or the two Dongrangs).

I just really want them to be tough enough that you actually get to see their cool gimmicks, and for a hypothetical ID to have the interlocking time debuff because god I love delay damage stuff.

I think that's what it always did and it was just the description that was fricked.
The remaining sinners that are yet to get a "world of K-corp" ID are Faust, Don, Ryoshu and Outis and Outis definitely feels like the best fit thematically. The real question is when we get a "Sang Yi Yi Sang" ID. Probably in like canto 17 followed by a completed mark of Cain Sinclair.
You start off with the 12 characters, they just have identities you get from either grinding or rolling with currency.
It's pretty easy to get everything though, most of us probbaly have everything already. I do at least.
I paid one lunacy pack of like 50€ about 3 months ago (that I didn't even put into rolling for characters but to convert to energy to grind) and 10$ for the battle pass.
I grinded a frickton though, got 500 hours of game time, you can probably get everything done with 200 hours and I'm just on the higher planes of grinding.
Well for starters you missed Season 1 which means you can only get Season 1 IDs through gacha and not through grind, but you can still get Season 0 and Season 2 IDs through grind. As long as you grind enough or just have good luck you can get every S0/S2 ID there is, S1 pay up or hope you have good luck when rolling
I have almost the entire cast as a low spender (about 30 AUD) just from doing dailies/weeklies, and the game is about to get significantly more generous with the next update. As far as time goes it isn't that bad "by gacha standards" as long as you're smart about it, but not being bad by gacha standards is still far more than I'd usually put up with if I didn't love the devs so much.
Going to be a bit harder starting later and with more of a backlog but competition autism should definitely be possible without draining your wallet/free time too badly.
It's really easy to grind (once you have battle pass) and unlock all the characters that you don't get from rolling with freebie lunacy compensations and pull tickets.
20 Euros spent for the first two seasons (lasting over 200 days) and I have literally everything and enough to spark much more without rolling anything.
Frankly with the way the game has been so far I feel like I'm going to have to avoid uptying anything to get any kind of challenge anyway.
But I'm sure they wouldn't be that stupid anyway, I'm expecting more like 25 especially if 4 isn't going to be the true final level for uptying.
Then again the original luxcavation rewards were so bad it makes me think PM don't actually know basic math so they may do just that.

Thing is even most of these "mediocre" IDs find their spots on some of my team comps because of passives, like sometimes I'd take base Outis or G Corp because their passives work really well with Sunshower Heathcliff.

This also assumes the fragile doesn't kill you first. If you need healing, you're not winning clashes. If you're not winning clashes, you're taking amped damage.

It doesn't say so in the lists, but I assume the support passive still applies fragile as it comes parceled with the ampoule. We'll see when he releases.
The support passive? That would be pretty of risky but it should be spread out across five sinners so it should take a while. Still a bad idea for remotely long fightd though.
For everyone saying he's bad, if dungeon 2 is as hard as PM is making it out to be then glow in the dark Hung Lu might be the new meta when it come to keeping sinners alive.

You already have Chef Ryoshu, Meursault Pursuance, and Faust Fluid Sac. Any one of these was already overkill in RR1, and I don't see MD2 being harder than RR.

On the field is implicit. Many characters can boost other characters damage through their support passives, but nobody would say that those characters are meta for boosting damage because of the implicit assumptions that non-autistic people make.

3 times a week. The weekly bonuses apply to the 3 hard MDs you can do, and that's the optimal grind. What it being separate means is that you can technically use your weekly bonuses on normal difficulty dungeons, and still have 3 hard ones left to do, but why would you?
They specifically mentioned they made it this way so 3xHard Dungeon is the optimal grind.

I'd say this is reasonable, but I think the aptitude matters more here for stability than raw power. Agents had basically zero problem with corrosion due to being picked for compatibility, TLA weren't as compatible and had a lot more issue with the EGO affecting them even if it wasn't as severe as Limbus EGO outright corrosion occuring.
Dongbaek was just strong because EGO are still pretty strong and the rest we see are ZAYIN tier, limbus themselves are still pretty damn weak. And yes I am headcanoning that all the dead gigahomies were due to the hacked drones instead of them actually losing in fights, the alternative is just too damn embarassing for K-corp.

They can be weak individually but strong as a group. If a 100 beat 10 in a close match it doesn't speak well for the 100 as individuals but the group as a whole is stronger. The sinners individually could be on the same level as low Urban Plague shitters like Kurokumo but still accomplish far more when working as a cohesive group including dante's revives.

I think part of it is that I just don't want the sinners to get too strong too quick. I like it when protagonists are on the weaker side, makes it feel more grounded when they can't just swing their dicks through every problem because there's a lot of others out there that will kick their shit in if they do. It's why I enjoyed how effortlessly they got dispatched by Sieg in chapter 3.

I don't think that lines up at all because more powerful enemies would require more sinners defending dante for him to not get merced, while what we see in gameplay is the opposite (even more so if we get a boss that gives you 9 sinners).
I'm not sure that adds up. If you're fighting just one powerful foe, I.E. a boss, doesn't it make sense to send in more people to tie him up?

If you need 7 people to defend Dante against average enemies for him to not get merced then they're screwed against strong enemies if only 3 can dedicate to defense. Ideally you want as many people active as possible so you don't effectively divide and conquer yourself so you shouldn't be have 7 on the sidelines for defense if 3 can do the job.

But it's not been against strong enemies. It's been against single foes, who can't be everywhere at once and can be tied up in combat with the extra Sinners. Harder to slip past the defenses if you're one person.
It's already implied that the the only reason he doesn't die every fight is the sinners basically being literal meatshields like Ish did, things will only get worse once he's being singled out as a target too.
You need a bit of variety. If your entire team has the trauma of "my boss inflicted horrible trauma on me" than it'll only resonate with one bough at best and you're shit out of luck for the rest. The sinners are cherrypicked to be uniquely and differently traumatised to maximise chances of finding a bough they resonate with.

Talisman seems like a poor man's smoke. Even more so since it gives fixed damage (rupture) instead of percentage, and there's only one way to put them on the opponent.
Seems like it can scale pretty well depending on how much support a team has. Something like 6 rupture per hit on an enemy that has stacked up count could end up pretty significant.
True but look at his S3. The first coin spends Talisman on himself (?) and *then* gives Talisman, but all Talisman is lost at turn end. You *have* to have him with 2 skill slots or more to get any use out of his S3 and we don't know how much Talisman the S3 spends before giving Talisman to the target.
For example, if a full use of Proliferating Talismans gives 3 Talisman and then Rupturing Talisman spends 2 before giving the target Talisman, he's only going to drop a single Talisman on them. +1 Rupture potency with every attack for that round (and this is assuming Sinclair's speed is high enough to act before everyone else) isn't all that great. And you would be rolling 4 non-maintaining coins to get the Rupture Count from his S3, that would ruin 99% of Rupture stacks.

Correction: At X+ count all Talisman is lost at turn end. Same as the talisman mook enemies, you keep it until you reach 9 or whatever the number is for our version. The skill 3 you use when you're at 6 to both keep yourself from going too high and basically inflicting a permanent +1 rupture per hit to the enemy.
If it was all lost at EVERY turn end it would be definitely be garbage, but if it can go up to say 8 on both the user and a particular enemy that could become very potent. An easy 4-6 rupture per hit from the talisman holder themselves at the least, though I do half suspect unless his coin stats are particularly good the ID itself will be relegated to passive duty.

It doesn't have the ability to stack up infinitely but it also lacks the pretty big drawback and has a lot of potential for damage as long as its used together with other sources of rupture count. I feel like the original version would be a lot worse outside of an ID that also had fantastic numbers.

You start off with the 12 characters, they just have identities you get from either grinding or rolling with currency.
It's pretty easy to get everything though, most of us probbaly have everything already. I do at least.
How much did you pay/grind for?
I paid one lunacy pack of like 50€ about 3 months ago (that I didn't even put into rolling for characters but to convert to energy to grind) and 10$ for the battle pass.
I grinded a frickton though, got 500 hours of game time, you can probably get everything done with 200 hours and I'm just on the higher planes of grinding.
The battlepass is the only essential purchase, you can't grind without it.
i've paid like 100 dollars and have everything as well as most of the currency I bought, yes, I still have 75% of it.
Well for starters you missed Season 1 which means you can only get Season 1 IDs through gacha and not through grind, but you can still get Season 0 and Season 2 IDs through grind. As long as you grind enough or just have good luck you can get every S0/S2 ID there is, S1 pay up or hope you have good luck when rolling

I have almost the entire cast as a low spender (about 30 AUD) just from doing dailies/weeklies, and the game is about to get significantly more generous with the next update. As far as time goes it isn't that bad "by gacha standards" as long as you're smart about it, but not being bad by gacha standards is still far more than I'd usually put up with if I didn't love the devs so much.
Going to be a bit harder starting later and with more of a backlog but competition autism should definitely be possible without draining your wallet/free time too badly.
It's really easy to grind (once you have battle pass) and unlock all the characters that you don't get from rolling with freebie lunacy compensations and pull tickets.
20 Euros spent for the first two seasons (lasting over 200 days) and I have literally everything and enough to spark much more without rolling anything.
You should start from begging if you want to get all IDs and EGOs. Now it will be harder

Thing is even most of these "mediocre" IDs find their spots on some of my team comps because of passives, like sometimes I'd take base Outis or G Corp because their passives work really well with Sunshower Heathcliff.

I'd say this is reasonable, but I think the aptitude matters more here for stability than raw power. Agents had basically zero problem with corrosion due to being picked for compatibility, TLA weren't as compatible and had a lot more issue with the EGO affecting them even if it wasn't as severe as Limbus EGO outright corrosion occuring.
Dongbaek was just strong because EGO are still pretty strong and the rest we see are ZAYIN tier, limbus themselves are still pretty damn weak. And yes I am headcanoning that all the dead gigahomies were due to the hacked drones instead of them actually losing in fights, the alternative is just too damn embarassing for K-corp.

The very fact that "large numbers" of the big ass horrific distorted monstrosities only leads to a sinner or two dying works against the idea of them being jobbers if anything. Even if large numbers in this context is just 3-4 of them instead of 1 or 2.
They can be weak individually but strong as a group. If a 100 beat 10 in a close match it doesn't speak well for the 100 as individuals but the group as a whole is stronger. The sinners individually could be on the same level as low Urban Plague shitters like Kurokumo but still accomplish far more when working as a cohesive group including dante's revives.

I think part of it is that I just don't want the sinners to get too strong too quick. I like it when protagonists are on the weaker side, makes it feel more grounded when they can't just swing their dicks through every problem because there's a lot of others out there that will kick their shit in if they do. It's why I enjoyed how effortlessly they got dispatched by Sieg in chapter 3.
Don't punch down on our sinners too much. Railway and Mirror Dungeons gave them quite a sizeable boost in power. We would've been instantly wiped if our sinners during Chapter 3 fought Dongbaek

I don't think that lines up at all because more powerful enemies would require more sinners defending dante for him to not get merced, while what we see in gameplay is the opposite (even more so if we get a boss that gives you 9 sinners).
I'm not sure that adds up. If you're fighting just one powerful foe, I.E. a boss, doesn't it make sense to send in more people to tie him up?
If you need 7 people to defend Dante against average enemies for him to not get merced then they're screwed against strong enemies if only 3 can dedicate to defense. Ideally you want as many people active as possible so you don't effectively divide and conquer yourself so you shouldn't be have 7 on the sidelines for defense if 3 can do the job.
But it's not been against strong enemies. It's been against single foes, who can't be everywhere at once and can be tied up in combat with the extra Sinners. Harder to slip past the defenses if you're one person.

You need a bit of variety. If your entire team has the trauma of "my boss inflicted horrible trauma on me" than it'll only resonate with one bough at best and you're shit out of luck for the rest. The sinners are cherrypicked to be uniquely and differently traumatised to maximise chances of finding a bough they resonate with.
