Pretty much 0 past Zeldas or Links are referenced outside of the ALTTP reference in a later game showing they got together. Skyward Sword doesn't mention them outside of the Zelda naming convention, and considering that Heroes and Hylia's apparently have a thing for each other it's probably for the best they don't name the Princes Link. Getting GOT up in there. And as for direct sequels, Link is canonically the King of Hyrule during Zelda 2.
Other than that, TP never referenced OOT Zelda at all as a Queen, and the reference to OOT Link had him be a warrior who died old without passing on his skills with the blade, BUT canonically had kids since TP is a distant descendant, but it's so distant he could've come from anywhere. On that note, with Spirit Tracks we know that apparently Zelda never actually got a throne back, she's still pretty much a pirate till whenever she died sometime in the 100 year gap. I got the impression OoT Link never passed on his skills because there was never a need until Ganondorf rose again in TP. He became a Stalfos by choice just so he could teach his descendant, but he probably made that choice in his old age or something, way after living a fulfilling life. The Skull Kid in TP also seems like it has some connection to him and the Master Sword, I always thought it was Saria.

That's a common misconception because of the armor, he's not a Stalfos. He's just a lingering shade, his armor is just a sign of his lingering desire to train the next generation, there's a TON of those in the game. TP went really heavy on ghosts.

I don't think anybody wants him to get redeemed. He's just a criminal who has some self-awareness. Maybe you could pity him for being a victim of his destiny and role in Hyrule
A huge amount of women want him redeemed. Remember when there was a major theory that the ancient hero 10,000 years before BotW was actually Ganondorf? That was a manifestation of that desire to see him as more than just a villain.
That's not women, it's neck beards who want a team-up game or steampunk game like in their gay fanfiction.

Is it too much to get another Termina game? Think how collectively broken the entire Zelda fanbase would be if we get a sequel. Nintendo has all this lore with Termina and Lorule, yet they never use it. Lets have Link and Zelda get stuck in a Termina and bring the moon back.

I remember people insisting TOTK wouldn't bring back time travel, despite it being the single greatest trope of the entire series. The time travel goes perfectly together with dimension/alternate world hopping so we need to mix things up and send Link and Zelda to another world for the next game. Even if they call it something new, just make it an alternate world

Literally every Link and Zelda have had more story to tell. What led to the Hero of Time's regretful life and death? Where did the Hero of Twilight ride off to? Did evil ever arise again after the Hero of Legend saved his princess' identical ancestor?
