>LTSC
I always have a pirated copy of the latest Photoshop version on my PC and Adobe dropped support for LTSC so that's not an option for me. Also you'll start seeing more and more games not running on LTSC.
How? LTSC 2021 is Windows 10 21H1, literally the newest version of 10.
LTSB 2015/2016 and LTSC 2019 are out of date though. and games and software that need features introduced in 1903 and 2004 don't work on them.
22H2 adds nothing, it might as well have been a security update. 1903 and 2004 added features to the DirectX 12 stack that make those versions a requirement for lost of DirectX 12 games. LTSC 2019 was version 1809. No game will ever require Windows 10 22H2, they'll just start requiring 11 or 12 instead.
>face mod for blonde b***h in foreground >hair mod for black haired b***h in background >DOF / Lighting and shadows mod (look at the space between the bar, lighting near the shelves) >added props in the whiterun inn that arent there vanilla
not to mention Skyrim was notoriously shit on the PS3, publicly touted as the worst port of Skyrim. for fricks sake we didnt even get any bug-fixes after the first patch, it was a genuine shitshow and it convinced me to just get a shitty laptop for gaming (which was leagues better despite being a shitty laptop)
>all those mods just to get up to a steady 20 FPS >look at my feet or the sky while traversing the world to stop everything from chugging >distinctly remember the final fight with Alduin crippling to a glorified slideshow anytime he used a shout
A shitty faptop is a terrible experience but its still miles ahead from playing on a console especially one as shitty as the PS3 in its heyday. You won't lose 80 hours of progress because the save got too bloated with unspawned items.
Lmao same down to the shitty laptop
Frick bethesda tbh pirated every game since the ps3 skyrim frickup
American devs were well paid by Microsoft to shit on the PS3 and to develop for the x360 and port to PS3 despite Microsoft abandoning the og Xbox early and the PS2 being THE console of all consoles so devs targeted X360 unified memory 512MB and let the PS3 to fend off with it's 256MB+256MB split like the true twisted israelites that they are. Ever since then I vow to never buy a Bethesda game ever and certainly time gave me the victory. Look at both Microsoft and Bethesda, the shitshow those two are right now is so sweet and delicious to me. Frick Microsoft and frick Bethesda.
I remember when the first screenshots of Starfield came and most people here stubbornly refuse to accept the NPCs, complaining if someone installed a "Mod for ugly npcs in Starfield" .
Not that there isn't some level of incompetence in Bethesda but creating a entire Mod in release day is not as simple as Ganker seem to believe it is.
One thing you used to learn when doing models in ye olde dx9/opengl is that the heads need to have hair painted on the scalp aside from the hair mesh to avoid the characters that look like they're balding.
Install Nobara on 4TB SSD
remove SSD from system, add to external usb device
plug it into 3.x USB port whenever you want to boot into linux
make sure to point a tiny fan at usb connection for maximum heat dissipation
Garuda Linux. It’s arch but with lots of handholding. Even for CLI it uses fish that has prediction feature (so you don’t have to memorize gajillion commands). It also has GUI for most things you usually have to do through CLI.
Ships with both NVidia (named proprietary driver) and AMD driver. >inb4 pajeetnux
Whatever. It works for me, it will work for you too.

Shit my bad I thought you were asking for Arch distros tuned for gaming.
zen kernel (xanmod for everyone not using arch)
gamemode for switching to performance cpu governor
gamescope if wayland
lutris if you want to manage all this shit easily
simple as
>PS3 >Low poly with highly detailed textures and everything hand made >PS5 >High poly and high res textures with plain shit on them >Plus everything computer generated instead of highly stylized man made creations
I personally have picked bare arch linux, it is usually the most stable distro for me since they ship default configs and are always up to date.
I wouldn't advise you getting near anything arch unless you're in for learning shell scripting and almost everything about configuring you're linux os.
Ive been running an ubuntu install to dip toes into the linux process but im not sure if i like its ui. Didnt care for Mint either, but im a windows moron so im not sure what ese to pick
IIRC, Todd has a friend who does modeling work, albeit hes trash at it. He hired the friend to do Oblivion, and likely hired him again to do Starfield which is why the characters look so similar between the games.
Don't install POP_OS!
it doesn't just works.
You'll run into obscure problems and won't find a solution. At least it have been my experience with it so far.
When you "delete" something you are just asking the machine to forget where it put the file. It's still there until the machine decides to put something else in the same place.
When it comes to using obs to record gameplay I'd like to have the option to use my subpar microphone. The problem is that I couldn't find a good source of information on filters, vst plugins and other shit, there are videos that say "use this, use that" but don't really delve deep into how stuff works. I'd rather learn what the stuff does to tune it for my needs, and the information must exist somewhere, so I'd appreciate some help finding it, I'm tired of the SEO exploiting articles that keep coming up.
The main disadvantage mint has is somewhat outdated packages, if you don't have super recent hardware it probably won't affect you much and mint is one of the most newbie friendly distros
>With the SteamOS 3.5 upgrade it means going from Linux 5.15 to Linux 6.1. Keep in mind that Valve also back-ports various changes to their SteamOS kernel and isn't just a straight-forward Linux upstream kernel. Another significant upgrade is the user-space Mesa OpenGL/Vulkan driver components with now moving from a Mesa 22.2-based graphics stack to one based on Mesa 23.1.3, of which Valve's Linux graphics gurus are also likely back-porting more patches onto that stable Mesa 23.1 base. SteamOS 3.5 also moves from KDE Plasma 5.26 to 5.27 on the desktop along with having various other package upgrades for its Arch Linux base.
lmao that bar wench isn't even a real Skyrim npc, its literally a fake promo image to make people think the game's characters looked better than they actually did
Fricking any of them work. If you want the most out of the box experience then just do Nobara or Pop OS, but you can install pretty much everything you need on any linux system (better wtth arch based systems because of most updated packages but could be risky due to AUR)
Ubuntu or Fedora if you want minimal effort and don't care about learning anything (which is perfectly fine).
Arch with XFCE and bleeding edge drivers otherwise but be prepared for it to break a game every now and then until someone somewhere pushes an update.
If you're actually interested in making the switch over to Linux and don't want Ganker to call you funny Windows names because of it, we welcome you over at the Linux Gaming General.
Installing Linux on the Laptop now after putting it off for some time.
Is there any linux-friendly cloud based storage that syncs files? I want to sync my save files so I can play like Diablo 2 on the fly without having to do file swaps all the time.
>What Distro should I pick for my gaming PC?

It's still not supported by Adobe
Windows 10 22H2 regular Enterprise exists
>regular Enterprise
The whole reason some Anons shill LTSC is because you get security updates until 2032 so you don't have to switch to 11 in 2025
>security updates
lol people go to places other than Ganker and youtube? what is there to secure?
>what is there to secure
I'd rather not do shit like banking on an OS where any security flaw discovered will never be patched ever
Sounds like an argument to bank on your phone.
That's a worse idea, phones get stolen.
>he goes outside
lmao
Depending on your area, you don't even have to leave your home, Mr. Darren Tyrone
>security updates
useless for gaming
inb4 you don't segment your PC use
lmao, thank god I didn't get memed into ltsc then, my comfy edu version is perfect then
FPWP, frick off with your shitty bloatware
SPBP
Linux Mint is light weight, comes with a bunch of basic shit, and it's easy to get the hang of.
install gentoo
Top image is modded btw.

Didn't dragons fly backwards on the PS3? Then they tried to patch it, and it caused the game to crash whenever you entered the water?
The lips really make it look like they've been sucking on drywall for the last 20 years.
>Top image is modded btw.
still better
Would you like to dial 911 for this burn
cope harder
>24 KB JPGTop image is modded btw
no it's not, it's a pre-release screenshot
newbie alert
It's not modded, but it was a famous bullshit in the leadup to release. Skyrim on PS3 definitely does not look like that good.
No, this is modded.
yeah for like 480p gay
Where's the cum meter? This isn't modded...
Fricking love dyndolod
Top image is literally one of the pre release image of the game. And yes, it is a bull shot. It is not modded, but a bullshot
>moronic zoomer doesn't know about bullshots
false

they got too used to modded skyrim and mods in general they believe anyone can just whip them out day 1
>Top image is modded btw.
No that was a promotional image for the game, zoomie
It's more interesting that the pic didn't get called out more than once about a PS5 version.
its a pre release screenshot stupid zoomer.
It's a screenshot on the back of the PS3 game case
Soul VS Soulless
ps5 games vs ps3 games
Jesus the laziness of these frickin devs. Im sorry western devs just dont have the creative chops.
One thing you used to learn when doing models in ye olde dx9/opengl is that the heads need to have hair painted on the scalp aside from the hair mesh to avoid the characters that look like they're balding.
WHY DO THEY ALL STARE LIKE THEY GOT CAUGHT MURDERING SOMEONE?!?!
Barbie chan lookin cute today 🙂
shameless motherfricker
huh but Starfield didn't realize at the PS5...

What the frick is the point of doing this
carry linux in your pocket and plug it into any random PC
>Surprise Linux
Sounds like require to me
May require going into UEFI to set boot from USB
If you're lucky the admin maintaining the PCs isn't savvy enough or too lazy to lockdown the hardware
arch
its 100% worth if you have nvidia and10000% worth it if you have amd
is there a list of what to install for a gaming tuned arch
a launcher and ge wine.
if you pirate then use lutris launcher, if you buy use steam
what about stuff like zen kernel
never heard of it

When did Ganker become so disingenuous? Was it 2011?
Ive been running an ubuntu install to dip toes into the linux process but im not sure if i like its ui. Didnt care for Mint either, but im a windows moron so im not sure what ese to pick
Get xubuntu, man.
>but im not sure if i like its ui
Disliking GNOME is normal. Now install Kubuntu.
SteamOS
IIRC, Todd has a friend who does modeling work, albeit hes trash at it. He hired the friend to do Oblivion, and likely hired him again to do Starfield which is why the characters look so similar between the games.
skyrim looked and played like shit on ps3 so it balances out with how much starfield looks and plays like shit
>still haven't figured out which inn that shot is from
Don't install POP_OS!
it doesn't just works.
You'll run into obscure problems and won't find a solution. At least it have been my experience with it so far.
works on my machine and I'm a complete noob + I'm using nvidia
what problem did you have
>accidentally rm -r a folder
>use photorec to recover my shit
>it recovers stuff I deleted over a year ago
damn this shit is powerful
When you "delete" something you are just asking the machine to forget where it put the file. It's still there until the machine decides to put something else in the same place.
Does this work the same way on windows?
yes, but ntfs tends to fragment files on disk so i think it's more likely that random bits of them will be overwritten faster
is linux mint any good for gaming or should i go for nobara
When it comes to using obs to record gameplay I'd like to have the option to use my subpar microphone. linux kernel 6.5 has significant performance increases tbh it's worth having newer packages hate the outdated debian sloth tier update meme
No point staying on an outdated kernel now, even the Steam Deck is moving to ver 6+ of the kernel.
https://www.phoronix.com/review/steamos-35-benchmarks

deck wasn't as affected from having an older kernel anyway, valve cherrypicks patches to add on top of them anyway
either one works
do you have an nvidia gpu? try mint
amd gpu? nobara
lmao that bar wench isn't even a real Skyrim npc, its literally a fake promo image to make people think the game's characters looked better than they actually did
Manjaro or Mint are probably the best for beginners.
Nobara since there's no way you'll research enough to get everything it comes out of the box with working
Fricking any of them work. If you want the most out of the box experience then just do Nobara or Pop OS, but you can install pretty much everything you need on any linux system (better wtth arch based systems because of most updated packages but could be risky due to AUR)
I hope the cs2 audio delay bug gets fixed
Valve needs to get its shit together.
>linux
Why are so many anons transitioning?
stop projecting, ywnbaw
What?
AHAHAHA RENT FREE
If you play video games you run windows. If you mainly use a computer to brag on the internet about your operating system, you use linux.
Then why do you post on Ganker?
skyrim looked like shit for 2011 too
Arch, all day every day, baby.
only non linux users know this feel
>that guy sleeping next to all the shoes
imagine the smell
you're right, when I had people over we would play super smash, mario kart 64, rampage universal tour, quake and perfect dark, no single player stuff.
Sleeping?
Ubuntu or Fedora if you want minimal effort and don't care about learning anything (which is perfectly fine).

That isn't a rogue lite
Installing Linux on the Laptop now after putting it off for some time.
Is there any linux-friendly cloud based storage that syncs files? I want to sync my save files so I can play like Diablo 2 on the fly without having to do file swaps all the time.
Mint has Mega-Sync in it's package manager.
Arch has it on the AUR.
I unironically use onedrive on Arch
https://github.com/bpozdena/OneDriveGUI
That's very depressing anon.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OneDrive#Privacy_concerns,_complete_loss_of_access_to_data_and_applications
Dropbox, Drive and mega all work to my knowledge.
There's some alternatives too which I am blanking on.
>top is a pc picture at max settings
>bottom is a pc picture at min settings
You don't have to go that far. Just post Cyberpunk 2077's background NPCs instead.
DE is more important than distro fir newbs, just pick something with xfce
