She is a member of a group alongside Magmortar and Electivire. The three of them got a preevo in gen 2, but Jynx didn't get a crossevo when the others got theirs in gen 4. It's unlikely because she needs to get a crossevo first, which it won't happen due to censorship.
Personally not on the Mega Jynx bandwagon but I'd also believe it's due to a recent HOME datamine revealing Mega Jynx was supposed to exist, even with a cry, that was discarded sometime along the way. I'd say it's at least fair to see Jynx get what was taken from her.

So X and Y gave us 30 Megas. ORAS gave us 18. I think 10-20 Megas is probably fair.
Biggest thing though I think people aren't taking into account is that both games gave us at least one new Mega for each type.
Which means bare minimum 9 new Megas if they perfectly balanced out dual-types. I think some more is likely though.
So alternative question: What's a new Mega you want to see for each type?
i figured it was only fair to even the distribution out a little more, since the original two rounds of megas were super focused on the first 3 generations
i would have put magmortar on the list if chandelure and aegislash weren't competing for ghost, and aegislash and tinkaton weren't both competing for steel, and tinkaton and mimikyu weren't both competing for fairy. it was just a domino effect, it goes without saying both should actually get one. i like magnortar more, even.

they couldn't think of anything and moved on, mentioned it once, and likely never thought of it again. flygon is popular but it certainly isn't some A-list pokémon, and fact of the matter is it didn't get a mega in the game about its home region, so treating it getting one now like some foregone conclusion is ridiculous. it might get something, the same way any other pokémon might get something.
you'd have more of a point if flygon wasn't the only pokemon they outright admitted to wanting to give a mega to (unless you count jynx, but that was never outright stated by anyone on the team)
it's not a foregone conclusion, but it's certainly more likely than quite a few other options in the first four gens

So X and Y gave us 30 Megas. ORAS gave us 18. I think 10-20 Megas is probably fair.
Biggest thing though I think people aren't taking into account is that both games gave us at least one new Mega for each type.
Which means bare minimum 9 new Megas if they perfectly balanced out dual-types. I think some more is likely though.

i would have put magmortar on the list if chandelure and aegislash weren't competing for ghost, and aegislash and tinkaton weren't both competing for steel, and tinkaton and mimikyu weren't both competing for fairy. it was just a domino effect, it goes without saying both should actually get one. i like magnortar more, even.
