Is1 healer okay? I have 2 people with white magic as one of their abilities in case one dies. Using a phoenix down is pointless this far into the game.
You should have one mimic with black magic, white magic, and double cast, and another with time magic black magic and double cast.
That should be more than high enough.

i literally beat this with the jobs in the pic except Cara was the black mage and all she did was spam Bahamut and Lenna spammed holy and heals.
You can leave the bottom left one? till last and then instakill it with either the magic lamp or a regular summoner's Odin. That's the easiest way to beat the meteor/comet bit.
If you struggle before then, uh, have a better team I guess idk

I'm using ribbons and gil toss.
Use 4 black mages and fit everyone of them with a reflect ring and target yourself with flare.
My favorite chemist mix is that one where you turn an enemy to dragon status and then use that dragon killer spear

Haste WILL help with the ATB and several of his attacks can be completely nullified with the right gear.

all the pixel remasters are good, the only problems are kind of ugly ui design(which can be easily modded) and lack of gba/alt version expansion content.

What? Black mage cracks 90% of the game wide open, and the remaining 10% is handled by summoners, ninjas, or alchemist.
This is a genre where 98% of fights would normally consist of totally ignoring any abilities or magic at all, and japs have a fricking burning hatred for putting descriptions with any spell or ability, forcing the player to experiment.
