Consoles always work though. PC games only work half the time. I van agree consoles look dumb but at least they work 100% of the time (or used to not sure about ps4/ps5)
The first Driver is great on the PS1. Opening tutorial aside, the game has its challenges, but I never found any of them to be impossible. My favorite part is the 'free ride' mode and ability to use the director feature to place down cameras and make mini movies; 1970's/ 1980's car chase style. I also had this game for iOS and thought it was a good port with some updated graphics. It was done by Gameloft, and was solid.
the cars rammed me so that I clipped through the buildings and I drove through the void to the end while they kept slamming into buildings trying to reach me. I won.
I did it, it was hard, not impossible.
Literally an unreplayable game (at least for me), even thou I put a lot hours on it back then, it's dusting on a box somewhere since.
It took me hours to beat this level on PS2.
But when I played it on PC a couple years ago, I beat it on my 4th or 5th attempt and it didn't feel difficult.
Anyone else played both versions? Is the PC version just easier or did I git gud?
One of my favourite levels.
The complete and utter chaos is just beautiful.
Cop cars ramming through everything their path trying to get you, carnage EVERYWHERE, it's BEAUTIFUL.
Best part is a cop coming for you frontal and you then at the last moment turning out of the way and it speeding by by just a hair. Feels SO good.
Doesn't even matter if won or lost, restart and go again. It's so much fun. In short bursts.
I've only ever played Driv3r for GBA. Are the PS1 games good?
better on pc ps1 draw distance isnt so good.
pc ruins driver. driver for ps1 is a masterpiece
okay consolebaby

how is it ruined? i couldnt go back to the console version after experiencing the glory of the pc version
oh yea, the masterpiece that runs at 5~10fps with 2 second input delay
Driver 1 runs well on PS1. You're confusing it with Driver 2 which ran at single digit FPS most of the time
Early on it's not too bad, but after Miami they start throwing tons of cops at you and performance dips to literal single digits.

Autism and wrong
Where are we going son?
For you
This was the last mission, right? Frick, I remember those kamikaze cars ramming into you the whole mission. Hard as balls.

Maybe I'll give you a call when I need a ride to the grocery store.

Of course, I meant PS1, not PS2
theres more traffic on pc which the cops struggle to get through
Can confirm, I have beaten this mission on PC a couple of times but never beaten the PS1 version
Just use cheats.
