ff14 is quite literally the greatest video game of all time
both of them are good and bad in their own ways and the perfect MMO would be one that takes the good things from each one and doesn't include the bad ones.
Their choice in art style, leaning childish instead of a grimmer setting is gay.

I was inspired by wow when I designed my game's art direction. Having done the research, I was surprised to see warcraft and wow defined the handpainted stylized direction in games.

MMOs have been shit for a while now Mr. Bot.
These days it's all instanced content. Cross server match making further removes the feeling of being a part of a big, wide world. Most people talk in discord rather than in the games too. The overworld is little more than a big lobby with ps3 era graphics where you queue up for your dungeon or raid equivalent.
FF14 is especially bad about this. Their overworld is literally worthless.

Why does WoW do this? Why are all of their cutscenes always filled with slow sentences or worse, constant mid pause, sentences, they say maybe like, two or three, words, then do a dramatic gesture, and finish the sentence.
They're the Kotick of game developers
