Actually now that I think about it, every effective censorship effort of video games came from the left. Literally all of it. The ESRB was a Clinton and Lieberman creation.
It's alright for a while, but they've been way too slow adding new content. Basics of the game work well enough, they just need to work way faster adding more of it.
Pre-ordered it, played during the pre-order period, then refunded at release. Tired of Fatsharks bullshit. At least there are other Swedish devs who seem to not take quite as many dilation breaks.

I played it at launch, enjoyed it but it was lacking, now it's great, ive just done everything 10x over at this point. Your loss. 400 hours btw
My friends I played tons of VT2 still play Darktide and they tell me it's not up to VT2 quality and I shouldn't return until they fix it.
Considering VT2 got major combat and class overhauls 5 years agter release, I'm giving Darktide a long time untill I give it a chance again
Your friends are absolutely right. Vermintide 2 has pretty much always been better than Darktide unfortunately. They are getting to somewhere solid. But the crafting metagame is dogshit. Once they fix that then it's worth looking at.
I thought this game was going to be like Starship Troopers but with 32 players or something. Feels so gay being told im doing my part and that there are other morons helping but I can only see up to four of them at a time
I don't on Ganker every waking day of my life, is this game the current FOTM or what? I see everyone shilling the game but the steam reviews are fricking trashing it
Everybody loves the game, they just love it so much that they're all trying to play it so hard the servers are breaking. The number one complaint is "I can't play it even more".
Game is genuinely fun. The complaint is that the game suffered from server issues because their expected demand was 50k players and instead they're getting 10x that. Armchair programmers think these problems can be solved simply by enough people throwing $40 at the devs..

Speaking as someone who actually professionally handles infrastructure for a game that often has a higher CCU count, it is kind of hilarious watching people try to figure out 'just fricking fix it idiots' from home. There's a lot of pieces that need to handle cloud flex to be able to scale so far beyond their stabilized population estimations.
Also the game has no queuing issues whatsoever anymore with the introduction of their new AFK timeout feature. So most of those reviews are out-of-date.
I know this is a "fascism parody" or whatever but are people who unironically only believe in 2 genders welcome to play or is this game " not for you"?
That's pretty much determined by the kind of fanbase it gets, and the general atmosphere so far has been people just shouting "kill all bugs" over and over. It's just too much fun.
This game is pretty fun but I have a few issues with some of the design choices. The game doesn't announce this, but its lowkey a stealth game that doesn't tell the player about how enemy patrols work, how alerts work, how far you need to be to evade guards, etc etc. On the higher difficulties, I feel like I'm fighting the dev's choices more than I'm being challenged by the bugs. It's simple things like, "You need specialized weapons to kill seemingly a majority of the enemies. If you didn't call it in as soon as you dropped and if you die even once, you're going to get trapped in a death loop because you'll just get reinforced into the meat grinder you were just in." I could write a long list of things, but in terms of horde shooters, I definitely think the game could benefit from some tweaking. Like perhaps, letting you delay your respawn for a second so you can get a better idea of where you want to drop instead of getting fricked over by a team mates bad throw. I'd probably also reduce how many automatons are in any given combat encounter. You practically cannot do any Automaton missions without a shield generator, so all those cool weapons that need two players to use but would kill a good portion of the enemies in your way? Worthless. You need to get to an objective but that enemy that needs a special weapon or bomb or whatever to kill is swarming the site along with more? Eat shit, your stuff is on cooldown and there's a modifier that makes it 5 minutes between uses. If I had to compare this to a similar game, it'd have to be L4D2. The game requires that you and your team be near one another and work together, but in any given combat encounter when special infected show up (minus the tank), you're not suddenly fricking useless against them and they're not just completly immune to the weapon you'll be using most of the time. There's a balance between the clear threat of say, a Jockey and the swarm. I can't say the same for Helldivers 2.
lost planet was better and did it first
that game was fun, multiplayer was kino, I remember playing with the Gears characters on the second game
turns out shooting bugs over and over is kinda boring
There's robots too
What about humans like pic-related?
How could you possibly shoot that? They're just like us.
I could never harm this bipedal-humanlike creature. I won't do it!
more insect propaganda
But enough about EDF
>pick up game
>see the in-game advertisement
>white guy coming home to family
>he has a black wife
>refund game
are you militant gay or something?
Wow, did you come to that conclusion all by yourself?
You're so observant.
Daily Reminder
Ywnbaw
Calm the frick down, Jack Thompson. It's just a video game.
It's coming from the left, troony.
Stupidity is omnidirectional.
Actually now that I think about it, every effective censorship effort of video games came from the left. Literally all of it. The ESRB was a Clinton and Lieberman creation.
Video games maybe, but I'm not about to forgot the pokemon evolution panic and the mass burning of yugioh cards.
lol, some leftist twittergay made this and has been getting cooked ever since
was Starship Troopers: Extermination any good? it looks like fricking shit gameplay wise but it captures that aesthetic that i so desperately crave.
It's alright for a while, but they've been way too slow adding new content. Basics of the game work well enough, they just need to work way faster adding more of it.
It was awesome when it first released, but its super dead now and nobody uses their mic
no that's this
This game is a piece of shit compared to Helldivers, all it needs is more players instead of being capped at 4.
Would be neat to see something like a Defense mission that you can bring 2 squads to.
I want another machine gun so I can have 3 drop slots dedicated to them and spit lead nearly constantly while rotating cool downs.
Gotta delete hunters somehow.
I want them to either make flamethrowers actually useful and/or add in a heavy flamethrower that requires a backpack. I want to be Starship Trogdor.
How well does this run on the steam deck? My PC can't handle higher difficulties, and my deck comes Monday
if I remember right, the Steam Deck can't launch it because of Nprotect anticheat.
What if I installed Windows on it?
The prequel is better.
More weapons, stratagems and enemies. Also lots of vehicles and mechs. HD2 is missing and enzite enemy faction.
What's most surprising however is that even though HD2 has like 10 different weapons, most of them are shit so it effectively has like 3.
Oh gee which game had ton of DLC content that was added years after it came out compared to the game that was just released this month.
Got bored after 31 hours
Back to waiting for the next Darktide update
I played darktide during the first month and was so disappointed that I never picked it up again .
Pre-ordered it, played during the pre-order period, then refunded at release. Tired of Fatsharks bullshit. At least there are other Swedish devs who seem to not take quite as many dilation breaks.

Cool, I hope you enjoy it. I won't give Fatshark a dime.

The devs also said it's not a server issue but a netcode issue where it can't handle 400k players.
They're already trying to fix it and I heard they're already increasing the capacity to 700k

Shield generator is a crutch for people who either can't use cover, can't place their bombardments, or can't stop alerting every goddamn patrol.
Just like the railgun is a crutch for people who can't aim or can't stop alerting every goddamn patrol.
