>I really hate using my pinky to click the modifiers
Do people really use their pinky for all 3? For me i hit shift with my pinky, ctrl with the palm of my hand, and alt with my thumb, the frick?
I used to use my pinky for ctrl and shift, and my thumb for alt, but it'd get really uncomfortable when I have to press ctrl+1 with my pinky and ring finger, or alt+t with my thumb and index and my hand gets flayed
now I just keep my left hand stationary most of the time and use my right thumb to click the modifiers. it's comfy
ESDF is the master race. You are both figuratively and literally handicapping yourself by using WASD. Your index finger is always supposed to be on F, that's why keyboards have the little bump on F (and J). Enjoy you're carpel tunnel, WASDers
I use ESDF in some games.
A for sprint is so much comfier than Ctrl w/ WASD.
And I can use space to crouch, mouse2 to jump, thumb buttons for alt fire/scope.
Pointer on W
Thumb on D
Middle on A
Ring finger maybe hits tab sometimes
Pinky for Shift, Control, and Alt
If I'm moving forward and jump I physically can't strafe right unless I rebind controls. I've used this configuration for so long it's more deeply ingrained than just muscle memory.
I think it's crazy that we dedicate 3 of our 5 fingers to movement. I've tried getting keypads with joysticks like picrel to work but I always fumble over keybinds and go back to keyboard.
What finger for shift and ctrl?
I've got side buttons on my mouse that I bind to shift, ctrl, and alt, I really hate using my pinky to click the modifiers
That's terrifying
it's actually really comfy
What? No!
