MGS4's insanity was due to the fact that it was a sequel to MGS2, which wasn't supposed to have a sequel.

The old Kojipro crew is still at Konami, they are reusing assets that the old Kojipro did for the pachislot and changing them a little, it's a 1:1 remake + some extras added - per their message in twitter and the site.
There's literally no way for it to go wrong.
Most of the senior members of Kojima Productions left with Kojima, and the ones who didn’t likely left the company when they decided to focus on mobile games for the last 5 years.
Most of, and that doesn't change that the MGS 3 assets were made when Kojima and his team were still in the company, the ones that were used for MGS V and Pachislot, which were later used for Survive.
The story is already done, the voice over seems like it will be reused from the previous games, the assets were already partially made for the Pachislot CGI and are being updated for the remake.
Explain to me how anything can go wrong, they have been developing this at the very latest since middle of 2021, probably earlier, and they are planning on releasing it at the earliest in 2024 (Andy Robinson confirmed this info today, again) that's more than enough time to develop an AAA game, and this is a remake which means a lot of the harder work is already done.

You can criticize Kojima without lying about what Murata did, Murata was only in charge of optional content, which did enhance the characters, but isn't the only reason why the games were great.
I don't have a dog in the fight Fukushima fight but the codec in MGS3 was boring as sin. It looked ugly, the conversations went on hours, and thinking of them makes me want to never play that game again
