I wish I could tell you, there has yet to be something that captures the experience of Vanilla-TBC WoW. I played a bit of the classic relaunches but it wasn't the same. No one really socializes in-game.

Play turtle WoW. I don't play WoW in general anymore. Just no interest in the genre. But turtle WoW I sank a solid 35 hours into. They fixed resto/feral druid. Would get people constantly asking me to come heal their dungeon to the point it got annoying lol

I'll be real with you, OP. I get the same feeling of melancholy when I log into WoW and think of all the hours I've spent in that game having fun with friends and strangers. There's an almost liminal space quality to much of the world now, most of it being entirely abandoned and lonely. It's an odd experience, one I find interesting given it takes place in a game world, but it's not one I can bear for too long. Soon enough I log out, unsub and maybe take a little glance through some of my screenshots.

Retail is just too hard to get into. Too many abilities, systems and mechanics. It's a shame because some of the classes feel fricking amazing to play
I'd suggest just starting a new character if you try to get into it though. The leveling process is pretty enjoyable despite being soulless. Alternatively, just play SoD, it's pretty comfy and very easy and has a 100% exp boost rn

There's nothing you *can* do. Has had all the MMO and RPG elements stripped out of it to appease powergamer raid sweats and to fit in psychologically manipulative casino bullshit and the cash shop.
Are you playing Classic? Just level your character and talk to people. Run dungeons. Level crafting.
I'm stuck behind a rock and a hard place because I think Classic is too boring to play and Retail is too hard to play. I'm looking forward to Delves because they are new and doesn't require a lot of skill.
