>long awaited sequel comes out
>doesnt really follow up on the first game and raises even more questions
>ends on yet another cliffhanger despite the fact that a third game is very unlikely
why does this happen so often?
btw i still loved aw2 but i wouldve loved it more if it ditched all the control, saga and mr. door shit because it was never mentioned in the first game either
CRIME Shirt $21.68 |
it's getting two expansions to wrap things up
ALSO HOLY FRICK IS IT REALLY THAT IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE A THREAD ABOUT A SINGLE PLAYER GAME 3 MONTHS AFTER RELEASE??? EVERY FRICKING AW2 THREAD I MAKE DIES LESS THAN 10 POSTS IN BUT SHITTY BAIT THREAD STAY UP ALL DAY
FRICK YOU ALL
>he thinks the board was just rolling in active AW2 threads even at release
Astroturfed game that killed itself taking the epic buyout and copes w
By pretending to be some artistic breakthrough.
did anyone teach you it might be a good idea to only utter sentences you believe in
We play games with gameplay not normie consoomerslop.
yeah like animu gacha girl collector and scrimblo blimbo : slimblobs castle
Hey I told you the truth, you can project as much as you want.
But when you actually grow up might wanna try like, silent hill series original trilogy, and you'll see just how much of a slop remedys games have been after max payne 2.
okay
i played sh1 and 2 on their original consoles on release
dont hold a candle to aw2 in any way and play like shit nowadays
still great atmosphere and killer soundtrack saving it from mediocrity
Great to hear you have played classics, but if you weren't adult when they came out would really implore you to play them again.
I hardly knew how to read when I first saw sh1 on ps1 at friends house. We played through it, somehow but didn't really have many positive thing to say about it until I replayed them few years back.
Controls kinda suck when you try to fight but they work quite well enough just to juke mobs.
i replayed them as an adult too
still have my fat PS2 working well and it plays psx games too (dunno if they took that feature out with the slim ive always had the fat release one and its never stopped working)
on another note iam mad they dont make consoles like they used to
shit just worked you could play both dvds and music cds
cant play music cds on my fricking PS5 or use the internet browser that was there on the ps4 and 3
I know man can't even think of paying money for consoles anymore. I still have my older systems but they are in a box or loaned to mates. Would bet they all still work, except 360 they died like flies.
"we" being a class of orphan russian boys who regularly suck dick for vodka money?
Hey man I'm sorry your life sucks, but your one dimensional opinions and silly projections give your newbieness away. "We" was just figure of speech.
just shows me this board doesnt actually play vidya and just watches yt and twitch all day
>i wouldve loved it more if it ditched all the control, saga and mr. door shit
I'm currently playing Control and I really like it, but I don't get why they feel the need to do this Marvel Cinematic Universe crap.
didnt alan wake 1 basicly start it by implying max payne is just a story alan wrote?
Yeah, but I think that was more like a "haha get the reference?" easter egg. Now they take those connections way too seriously.
Yes with another name cause they lost the rights
Marvel didn’t invent continuity anon…
>Both AW1 and Control plays like TPS action game with some spooky shit
>Remedy known for action TPS
>AW2 comes out
>It's a slow-pace over the shoulder modern RE clone
Frick that shit.
it still is a tps moron
>slow pace
not really its about the same as the first game but giving you even more combat options
camera is just positioned differently
>>ends on yet another cliffhanger despite the fact that a third game is very unlikely

i know about the ng+ ending but it is still a cliffhanger nonetheless and a third game coming out?? probably not
What is cliff hanger about it? It answers all the questions. Saga's child is alive, and Alan escaped the dark place.
Doesn't matter if a third game never comes out, they can just use Alan in other games to write crazy shit, like he wrote Jessie into the FBC.
>despite the fact that a third game is very unlikely
They literally just put Alan into DBD I don't have any doubts another Alan Wake will be made.
>the original Alan Wake's dlc ends with Alan starting to write himself out of the Dark Place
>American Nightmare shows that he failed and is still trapped, but ends with him defeating the darkness and leaving the Dark Place
>Control's dlc shows that he failed and is still trapped, but ends with him defeating the darkness through Jesse and writing himself out of the Dark Place
>Alan Wake 2 shows that he failed and is still trapped, but ends with fricking nothing
I like remedy but they really shit the bed with how meandering Alan's story is.
The two protagonists mechanic is interesting tho and I hope they let us play with the previous director during flashbacks or something in control's sequel.
you got that thing about control and aw1 plot wrong
he never writes himself out of the dark place in either of these games
in aw1 its literally shown how only alice made it out while alan was still in there
and in control jesse meets both alan and scratch and only says that fricker got issues
all she does is defeat doctor hartmann
It's been some time since I played it but afair the first game's dlc ends with him starting to write Returnal and Control's AWE dlc strongly implies that Alan facilitated the Hiss invasion, Hartman's mutation and Jesse finding the Bureau during the whole shitshow as a means of enabling him to escape.
Previous director its super dead after james death you will get the alan woke Hispanic agent
WHO IS HE?
The herald of darkness
>The man from the darkness... is a black guy
Umm...?
>ditch the cool shit, make it boring!
Cope. Also the FBC was mentioned in AW1.
>fbc mentioned in aw1
where?
He's probably mistaking the Night Springs secret group for FBC. Or he played the remaster where there's an FBC letter in the Sheriff's station. Or he's referring to the comic with Frank Breaker and Kirklund. Or he's referring to the This House of Dreams blog. All but the first could be considered AW1 only if you're very lenient.
First game was kind of ass, face it.
In way this is kind of like the first game, looks good, obviously made by professionals because it *looks* quality overall, yet it's an empty air balloon, shallow, pseudo, repetitive, with just that tiny bit of individuality to separate it from Ubishit slop.
first one was really good frick you on about
>lemme point a flashlight at the same enemies on very similar setting for 8 hours
sure..
this
could not finish the first game, got bored out of my mind about 3-4 hours in
filtered.
First game got stuck in development hell for years and ended up being launched with a ton of cut content. Bright Falls was supposed to be open world initially and the day/night cycle was gonna be an important mechanic instead of something that's barely there.
That should be 2 anyway im more interested in playing that alone in the dark psx game with better flashlight mechanic
it was flawed but still had atmosphere oozing out
those lonely nightwalks
barry
the poet and the muse
it makes the first game special
Play ng+ for the true ending.
why the frick does Remedy not care about enemy variety?
theres nothing wrong with the enemy variety in aw2
A third (and final) game is all but confirmed. It'll finally have us properly deal with Zane, and hopefully, have cool special abilities for Alan.
more ahti please
>chilling
>see this
What do?
