One thing I never figured out is what to do after you deliver the Shofixti maidens, i never heard back from the little guy
I think there's a delay, like a couple in-game weeks or months, before you see the results. You go back to the starbase and the commander tells you of their return, then you can build their ships and get a huge permanent discount on crew. It's worth finishing because their ships are key to resolving a major sidequest.
