Before the pandemic I was kinda neutral on face-masks on videogames. I didn't like them, but didn't hate them either. At most they reminded me of some E-prostitutes and crossdressers who use them to hide their ugly mug.
But now I seriously don't want to see masks in games or other media. I might have been okay with design of main character of new The World Ends With You, since in Shibuya some fashion conscious teens do hide their face behind the mask, but now the only fricking thing I can think about when I see it is the fricking pandemic which I don't want to remember when I play videogames.
I'm pretty sure that his design was finalized before this whole fricking thing happened, so it's pretty unfortunate, but I still don't like it.
