lots of games about killing their pantheons.
>what if i view modern religions today the same way we view the religion of ancient greece, egypt, and rome?
Still blasphemy. You're conflating blasphemy with heresy.
Like Kratos in God of War? I could not tolerate how cartoonishly evil he was.
Satan is an angel though
Nope. Satan is a metaphysical concept to encapsulate a lack of love for God. There is no actual singular entity called Satan.
Lucifer is an angel moron
You atheist just never get it, do you? While it is correct to call Lucifer Satan it is not correct to say Lucifer IS Satan therefore Satan is not an angel. Satan is the word for anything and everything that diminishes your love of God. This is why they say things like "Porn is satanic." They don't mean that some mischievous demon called Satan created porn. They mean consuming porn diminishes your love for God hence it is satanic.
I get you're having fun larping as a fundamentalist when I don't think you're literate, let alone actually capable of hermeneutics, I'll pitch you a softball.
Under your definition, were the challenges of Job satanic? They were conceived by Satan and applied at Satan's behest. But they did not diminish Job's love of God.
You're wrong. God was behind what happened to Job. God did it to demonstrate to Satan Job was beyond Satan. It demonstrated love for God hence it's the opposite of satanic.
Categorically untrue. Look at Job 1:9-12
" “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord."
God stripped the blessings from Job and let Satan do as he would, so long as Job himself was not harmed. God was confident in Job's faith, but this was very much a test of it.
So you think God might have been wrong? Is that really the position you're going to take to win this argument?
Back to google, atheist. Try again.
I think that your definition of Satanic is wrong. Satan as an entity or title has been diluted in the cultural consciousness as some eternal foe of God rather than a deliberately introduced burr of temptation and indiscretion. Time and again God tests humanity as individuals and in the aggregate, and time and again it is shown that faith in God is not synonymous with lack of temptation but with willingness to ask forgiveness and repent. Furthermore, the sacrifice of Christ on the cross specifically absolved humanity of original sin and the law of the Hebrews. All your old testament dross campaigning against human sexuality was specifically overturned by the crucifixion.
Or do you feel the grace of the Son is incapable of matching the wrath of the Father?
>All your old testament dross campaigning against human sexuality was specifically overturned by the crucifixion.
And we get to the real problem the atheists have with the religion. It's not just Christianity that says bestiality is bad, you fricking freak.
Hey, I didn't even try to argue in bad faith that if the dog isn't someone's wife it's perfectly fine to lust after her according to the commandments, and it's only lying with the animal that's an abomination. We're specifically keeping to broad strokes, and you've failed to refute the grace and glory of Christ's sacrifice.
It's also rather a bad look for the sanctity and eternal truth of your religious preconceptions if you have to rely on external validation to uphold them, no?
Look, buddy, I don't know where you got the idea Jesus' sacrifice means you don't have to follow the Commandments anymore but that's not a thing.
Still not what I said. My point was that your definition of Satanism was dismissive of Satan's historical role as a deliberate tool of God's design to test humanity with the ultimate goal of driving them closer to God, and then tangential to that I made the point that many of the temptations and even lapses of faith are no longer themselves grounds for damnation, so long as one repents and asks for Christ's forgiveness.
I'll even be charitable and presume that you're holding to the biblical conception of Hell as merely being distance from God and no longer receiving of His grace, rather than the pit of fire and eternal punishments that were wholly dreamed up by Dante.
>that were wholly dreamed up by Dante
>wholly
I highly doubt nobody else ever made the mistake of conflating tartarus with the literal trashfire on the outskirts of town that was perdition prior to the year 1300
Perhaps I was overly glib there. Would "by whom the concept was popularized and injected into the cultural Christian mythos, as separate from biblical text" be more apropos?
Satan is not a tool to drive people closer to God. Satan is a tool to separate the wheat from the chaff. We don't all get to go to Heaven, pal.
>I'll even be charitable and presume that you're holding to the biblical conception of Hell as merely being distance from God and no longer receiving of His grace
Of course I believe that. Hell doesn't exist. Not yet. Hell is what Earth becomes when God leaves Earth.
Again, you're getting ahead of yourself. As I said before, the entire purpose of Christ's sacrifice was so that we COULD all go to heaven through His grace.
Romans 3:20-26
"20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in[h] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between israelite and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus."
Temptation to sin is only fatal to the soul if it prevents one from seeking forgiveness and closeness to God. No man is without sin, and thus it is only through Christ's grace that we can be saved at all.
>You can't just go through the motions, you have to actually believe it
Yeah, no shit. We are talking about religion here.
Nope. You're thinking of Lucifer. Satan is kind of a title, and there are multiple Satans in the bible
videogames
There are a lot of WW2 games bro
How would you frick an eyeball?
Are eyeballs a fetish? Maybe OP jusr wants a staring contest during sex.
If it's really durable you can just poke or rub on it until you cum. Or you can slide it into her eyelid while her eyelashes tickle your scrote.
Then when she tears up you can collect it and get a free swimming pool.
>seraphim are closest angels to God
>hide their body with wings

No the grammar is correct. I am clearly talking about their only large eye.
Don't most beholders distrust and despise all other beholders?
Yes and angels don't want to frick human men.
But here we are, stuck with our fantasies.
And they usually have nightmares that manifest into reality. In this case, beholder shipping.
Yes.
>human-like body
ruined
I've been thinking about a Plants vs Zombies clone but it's Demons vs Angels. Not sure if it would be better to play as the Demons or Angels. Maybe it could have two modes.
Would fricking an angel give birth to a nephilim?
That's like asking "Would fricking a sofa give birth to an armchair?"
Is that how they are made?
It wouldn't surprise me
I mean, you know how they make venetian doors, anything's possible in this crazy world of ours
in dark souls and elden ring you fight the good guys half the time and the demons half the time
>soulslop
>anyone good at all
at best they are divine forces manipulating you to unfrick the situation
yeah the divine forces of the old man and his homosexual son and the snake who sided with them
the silver knights are pretty much what passes for angels in Japo-euro fantasy lore
Stella Glow counts.
