You can make yourself an unsactioned later without a 5% chance to ruin the fight, unlike Idira. It's literally just an early game handicap and you start grossly outpacing your companions if your build is good.

They DID start as 'the brides of the emperor' but that was during a big Imperial civil war and they were basically some guy's battle harem, and they were heavily reformed afterwards.

Basically they started out as the leader of the Ecclesiarchy's battle harem who he indoctrinated in worshiping the emperor as his 'brides' and who viewed him as basically the Emperor's voice. The Ecclesiarchy, who used an all-male army at the time called the Fraternis Templar, basically like the modern Sisters but dudes, rebelled against the High Lords to seize absolute power and there was a big civil war. The leader of the High Lord's side convinced the brides that their leader was a traitor and heretic, so they killed him. In the aftermath the Ecclesiarchy lost a ton of power and got banned from having 'men at arms', so they used this as a loophole to transform the brides into basically a sex-swapped Fraternis Templar, the Sisters of Battle, and changed their indoctrination to fit. Now they view themselves as the emperor's daughters and can frick whoever.

They all have locked specializations that are not as optimal as what you can do, like forge world pyro/bio. You can make yourself an unsactioned later without a 5% chance to ruin the fight, unlike Idira. It's literally just an early game handicap and you start grossly outpacing your companions if your build is good.

The Ecclesiarchy, who used an all-male army at the time called the Fraternis Templar, basically like the modern Sisters but dudes, rebelled against the High Lords to seize absolute power and there was a big civil war. The leader of the High Lord's side convinced the brides that their leader was a traitor and heretic, so they killed him. In the aftermath the Ecclesiarchy lost a ton of power and got banned from having 'men at arms', so they used this as a loophole to transform the brides into basically a sex-swapped Fraternis Templar, the Sisters of Battle, and changed their indoctrination to fit. Now they view themselves as the emperor's daughters and can frick whoever.

Is there any special story things that happen if you play Psyker, I kinda want to reroll as a chaotic guardsmen commander.

Can you corrupt companions to chaos later in the game? Most seem pretty suggestable. Still only in act 1
not argenta or yiff. they are already dogmatic votaries, so they can't gain more points than up to level 2 in iconocalst or heretic

rt has the best writing of all owlkek games. it's not trying to be le ironic or le self-aware and doesn't use weddonisms. It takes itself seriously and is consistent. Which doesn't mean that it's void of humour however. It's good

Several times now I have loaded my game only to receive a random achievement in the loading screen.
I've got the achievement for visit every system just now, I'm still at chapter 1.
If it's the 500 enemy ones it's progress on achievements if they are greyed out, not the completion.
So I unlocked "Psyker Level 1" where are my new spells?
You still need to hit one of those unlock ability nodes to get a new spell. Just that some of them have a pre-req of a certain psi-rating before you can pick them up.

Really liking the officier class it's great, but I think like having 2 strategist is too much, zones overlap too quickly and they are a b***h to position for some reason. What would work better for Pasqual? Got him an electro rifle and it's working wonders.
