Dungeon of the endless was in my sights for so long when I only had a shitty laptop as a teen but never really bought it and there's like three billion "ENDLESS" games now.
I'm pretty hyped but I'm worried that they'll go too far in the wacky comedy direction which the trailers show like this anon said.
The Endless games have always walked on the cringe line for me even though I love DOTE, EL and ES2 (I haven't played the first one). Especially DOTE was at times too wacky for me but it still managed to have a good and serious atmosphere that was more or less completely disconnected from the silly item descriptions. The contrast between silly and serious is a big part of the franchise identity but I fear that Endless Dungeon will go too far into the silliness part considering the narration and pretty much all of the characters they've shown so far.

Endless space and endless legend are 4x games, they have nothing except some minor lore fragments and resource names in common with endless dungeon/dungeons of the endless.
