Im taking a break so I decided to make a thread and see if any1 else played this.
Also, now that im the catacombs there are more melee immune enemies. I killed a ghost with the iron torch but it was pretty tedious. Im hoping this next part isnt too painful. I noticed the same thing at the castlr and backed off.
they're not melee immune, just physical immune, there are PLENTY of elemental melee weapons, one of which is is in the catacombs itself

This game is fantastic. Played it start to finish, got the video tape ending, loved every part of it. I don't give a shit what the dev is into, makes no difference to me.
I refunded it because of the pronoun selection and a lot of alt-gay designs in aesthetic. Just not my cup of tea would be great otherwise.
I'm kinda of surprised so many people praise this game, it changed a lot from the King's Field formula while trying to keep the heart and soul but in the end, it kinda of fails at both

I've only watched videos about King's Field, and I wanted to play something similar but modern. This is the only decent option I've found so far. The levels are fairly simple, the enemies are easy. Atmosphere and music are good, graphics are quite soul imo.

To be "baby's first" it would have to be similiar to kings field. And it's not. At all. You can emulate KF4 right now and see for yourself it's the polar opposite of this.
I plan on getting around to it. Right now I'm itching to play first person dungeon crawlers with stats and simple combat like 90s games. This is the only game on PC I can find like this other than some roguelikes. I most want to play the old ones with a guide just for the graphics and game feel. Something about those games just feels nostalgic to me even though I never played them.

every TES game is just back and forth combat. Im just looking for some dungeon crawlers with simple gameplay like king's field that I can play with mouse/keyboard.
Your criticism is silly. Look at how popular dark & darker was with the same combat system. It's simple and rewarding, not meant to be a skill thing.

I tried shadow tower and a rock randomly fell on my head five seconds in and I died. Wow what great gameplay. I'll stick with lunacid where my guy doesn't move like a fricking oil tanker
This was my gateway into playing the actual old fromsoft dungeon crawlers. The PS2 games are what you should play next if you want half decent controls.
And yes, high dex kind of breaks the game.
game is great, and yes high dex lets you leap over a building in a single bound like superman, very fun to sequence break into the forbidden archives early with it and powerlevel
