Let's wait and see in Warhammer 40k 20th edition, coming in 2050!

They weren't actually advancing the timeline, they were just trying to get you to re-buy your models because they don't know how to improve on the old ones anymore

The main forced died on the way to the Milky Way. The forces you see are the only ones left, and even they don't realize it.

this is my new headcanon, frick nids, most boring and redundant faction by far

They won't but they could advance the story somewhat. Maybe they find a way to really frick the Tyranids back. Maybe some sort of psychic mcguffin that lets you turn the tyranids on each other.

nah, they will just continue being treated like an a-list threat, but never do anything important other than devour nameless worlds and job hard to make other factions look good

Akhually you are lorelet, now type on your precious wiki Hive fleet Tiamet and Hive Fleet Ouroboris that appeared in galaxy M35 and M36.

And what tyrannic wars would those be? 0 and -1?

Not my fault GW can't stay consistent and bases it's universes on rectons rectoning rectons.
Somehow Imperium didn't noticed that it was fighting nids for 6 thousand years before giving them name.
Right now we have fourth tyranic war that shouldn't exist, because in reality it's just third one, but for marketing purposes it's called fourth.

almost as if there are many alien menaces harassing the imperium, its bureaucracy is hellish and tyranids before behemoth were not significant threats.

Given the huge and disconnected nature of the Imperium, it's possible these things didn't register on the Imperium's radar until it affected someone like the Ultramarines. Admittedly, it's just as possible GW is more incompetent than the Imperium and is coasting off their own setting's success and the work of better and former writers. Take your pick.

yes and a setting has an active timeline
why exactly are you so bothered by events progressing?

A setting doesn't necessarily have an "active" timeline and he told you what his issue was in this instance. How moronic do you have to be to make this post? 8/10 it extracted a (you) from me.

he can just pick a historical period from the setting and have his games take place there
what happens in the present should not concern him in the slightest

They're already devouring it, countless worlds have been permanently lost.

Thats when the imperium first became aware of them you moronic homosexual it literally says so in you pic.
Nids have been in the galaxy since M35 and possibly a lot earlier.

    >"at current rates of loss, the imperium's hold at the eastern extent of the astronomican will be entirely gone within two centuries"
that's LESS than 500 years since the first tyrannic war to annihilate the larger chunk of the galaxy

I am a lorelet, do the Nids not hold worlds? I know their thing is “consume it all and move on” but I assumed there would be a few worlds at least to use as biofactories or something? Or am I just missing it?

they do not remain stationary with the famous exception being the lesser hive fleet tiamet, being extremely territorial about their system and building some psychic megastructures on its worlds.

        Anonymous

for the most part they pretty much just eat everything on said world they can and move on, so far there has only been one known world were they have set up a permanent base and that might just be to attract more nids to the galaxy since it has a massive pyschic imprint to the point several eldar that tried to investigate it nearly get their brains blown up from being near it

So no threat at all considering that past 30 years timeline was moved like 10 years and then GW decided to nuke timeline.

Never, 40k is a setting not a story. Your absurdity is only possible because some chuckeheads thought it'd be a good idea to "advance" it. Also, the Tyranids didn't show until the M41 anyway. Genestealers were earlier but they weren't associated with the Tyranids until post-Behemoth

      >Also, the Tyranids didn't show until the M41 anyway.
Not true first known hive fleets to arrive were in M35 and M36, and before that somehow you have ex nid organisms thousands years before it in form of Kraken or Catachan Devil

yes and a setting has an active timeline
why exactly are you so bothered by events progressing?

      >yes and a setting has an active timeline
Not anymore GW deleted timeline, not only from codex but also in universe.

      >the new daemon prince
You mean Vashtorr? He's not a daemon prince, just a full fledged daemon. Also it didn't matter because Vashtorr accomplished his goals in the following book

      >Also it didn't matter because Vashtorr accomplished his goals in the following book
It's kinda stupid because this super OP device serve no purpose. Wow chaos can use webway now, faction that can open warp rifts everywhere and attack any target they want, teleport across galaxy at will at any time can now teleport across galaxy, 3 books of some galaxy brain mega plot just to get device that allow you to do what you could do all along.

Honestly, they should just have the Tyranids eat the entire Imperium Nihilus just to drive home how much of a threat they are.

The current Tyrannic War will end with Fulgrim appearing out of nowhere and destroying the Nids. The Nids are on the brink of killing Guilliman, before Fulgrim shows up and pulls a "he's not yours to kill!" and BTFOs the Nids.

Has GW dropped the whole 'Leviathan is just a scouting fleet' thing? The fourth tyrannic war really should have kicked off the start of the new biggest hive fleet, instead of reusing Leviathan 'but BIGGER'

How are the nids getting BTFO'd so hard?
They supposedly devoured dozens of galaxies before so they should be on a powerlevel immensely far above the other factions.

Who’s to say those galaxies put up much of a fight? The imperium may be vastly more powerful than any polities those previous galaxies had.

Primaris literally was the end times reboot, you dumbie

Abbadignigngndong finally 'won' (Archaon finally won) and the universe was split (The universe was restatrted), there was a big new special force of good guys lead by an old hero (Ground Marines lead by Sigmar, Primaris lead by Calgar) and every race in the lore started getting heavy reboots and rewrites to introduce new factions (Squats, Nucrons, CSM split armies)
