Your character can age, rebirth, eat food and gain weight, play and custom make music, and so much more. You can be anything and do anything all at once with no downsides. From non combat related skills like cooking, tailoring, blacksmithing, trading goods in a commerce, carpentry, etc. to different styles of combat like melee, magic, ninja, archery, puppetry, etc. all on 1 character. That's one of the big reasons I stopped when I last tried to pick it up. I played this game a long time ago when I was a kid back when skills had load times and hitting 1000 damage was a big deal. I made a giant, out total leveled my old character in a matter of hours due to freebies, and got all the advanced magic for frick all which takes the piss out of it for me. After playing for a week and getting total level 10k, I had more skills and gear than I ever imagined, casually hit 2k crits with my bare hands, several dans, and I still ate shit to basic mobs when I wasn't spamming wind guard or oneshotting them with meteor strike and lightning rod and bash. I don't get it. I saw some person summon some reaper shadow and hit 23k. I don't have the time to grind to that anymore. Maybe it's rose tinged glasses, but I liked when the skills were slower and meant more.
I agree. Playing at your own pace and not aiming for an unreachable endgame is the only way to play.
I wish I could but it gets boring to me. I think I just miss the good times with my buddies. Had a little friend group on Mari and played from G2 to G9. Exploring Rano and when rafting first came out was the absolute shit to kid me.

I know certain ego weapons are good now but I kind of don't care because they're so much of a grind. Back in the day I made an ego claymore because it was cool and I've migrated it a few times. I think I'm going to migrate it again, but does it matter much which weapon I pick if I'm going for a 2h as a human? Like it's bad regardless?

Transferring ego is easy and cheap, but transferring erg is very expensive.
1h axe erg gives a lot of prot and WM dmg. paired with a shield you can be pretty tanky. this is pretty much the only melee elf build unless you get a soluna blade.
2h axe erg also gives prot but misses out on the WM dmg for fairly minor stun resist. on the plus side you get 2h bonuses to smash, special upgrades, and enchants.
remember to use support shot before dynavolt if solo

I'm kinda new but I noticed a lot of the Spirit/Erg(?) have one ability that seems dedicated to unfricking a problem part of a Talent. Maybe if it's that important it should be part of the base skill and not something you get after ten eons of grinding

It's taking a while for me but I think it's fair, just need to stop having zoomer brain. I just feel like having a portion of the Spirit weapon dedicated to a specific skill on a Talent feels like them saying that skill is fricked without that passive. It'd be one thing if there was some kind of choice between enhancing different skills but with only one or two skills getting specific enhancements, I can't help but think that's pretty weird.

I'm not sure, but Advanced Hard Mode takes much longer compared to SW Elite, and I could probably get 10 or so SW Elites done in the time it takes me to solo Alby/Ciar, mostly because there's usually enough people at the Stonehenge to fill a party and stomp every Shadow Wizard switch in seconds.
I do wonder if I should start looking at Rundal Hardmode or Veteran Dungeons though.

No one farms leather. You wait until finishing events(not the god awful last one) or other events that give out hundreds or thousands of event boxes. Those boxes give out leather, silk, fabric, wood, woodboards, gems, special gems, etc. you'll have so many of that shit you won't know what to do with them. Fishing events usually happen 2-3 times a year, stick around long enough and you'll be swimming in all that good stuff. We just haven't had a good one in while thanks to that shitty last one. Just be patient and prep your inventory and probably fire up some alts.
You COULD buy those vacation boxes from this current event as those give out stacks of 100 leather, silk, and fabrics of each grade but that just a waste of coins. Only buy those if you don't have enough coins by the end of the event for any other item you wanted.
And for the love of god, buy those sturdy pouches. You're going to need them. Maybe even 2 sets of sturdy pouches.

Once you start Blaanid you can access it easily by pressing the ' key. Advent of the Goddess is the main story quests, starting with Generation 1. Highly reccomend that you do that alongside Blaanid as Generation quests are very important to unlock content and player growth.

EK is the ruling king of unga bunga right now. It also doesn't help that HS doesn't offer much other than more INT and damage for old magic skills. Ele knight skills are just that much more fun and simple to use. Try leveling with ele knight in nowhere to run baltane mission then switch back to magic and you'll notice how fricking slow magic feels in comparison, at least for me. Only thing I miss about HS is healing my pets and bros to 100%. HS is mostly a support talent anyways.
The next few arcanas might be even more unga bunga if you want to plan for those.

everyone who says all this stuff about EK/melee never actually used it in lategame stuff. It needs a lot of investment and it still falls short unless you have something alongside it.
They haven't used it because they're elves with a victim complex. Magic is the lowest investment talent that's viable in lategame.

I'm literally ccing and 1 shotting everything in techs, blowing out irusans ass, and the best damage dealers in theta are ek. Fighter is better but definitely not needed. Archery and magic look underwhelming for the investment atm but maybe I'll kneel after newcanas
spoken once again like someone who doesn't play warrior, blazing has a 1000% damage multiplier on a 7 second cooldown, functions as a "go everywhere" tool, and lets you jump to a second group after you oneshot the first one. shattering and windmill both get used interchangably so EKs are constantly shitting out AOEs, and volt is a ten second CD (that will oneshot anything it hits). you're also forgetting EKs can throw out fireballs and lightning at the drop of a hat due to their silent casting mechanic, meaning they can make cooldowns completely meaningless if they want to

Post both your level 50 arcana right now. Outside of FH, which isn't an EK skill, magic is faster for clearing nowhere to run. With ice spear and hailstorm you don't even need to bother with positioning or cooldowns.

Damage boost from awakening is nothing to scoff at also useful if your bursting down stuff or need Iframes along with that pairing it with continuous awakening tech can be useful for the refresh proc. Other than that though it one of the last things you dump points into with egos.
I always wanted to play around and put points in awakening tree for my weps but the reset price kills any interest. Like all korean MMOs, you're punished for wanting to try things out.
