You game standing up?
laying on sofa/bed
>sofa
That's a seat
A chair is a seat
You played yourself.
>sofa
You mean Davenport, grandpa?
I game doing whatever I please now
On the bed, smartass
>$1500
Lol poorgay
goycattle
>the greatest thing to happen to pc gaming is a clunky brick that runs games on 720p ultra-low 20fps

Who is trying to force this moronic meme and why? Frick off Black person.
blame steam marketing department for posting new threads everyday advertising their shitbrick
>muh shills
I see it in every thread though. Frick off chink.
Stop shilling your dogshit product on here and people will stop calling you out for it, it's easy. Nobody's buying a 2kg shitbrick to play at 20fps, just use xcloud gaming on your phone with a $70 controller and you get 2x the experience.
I play GTA 5 at 60+ FPS, Shitch wouldn't even run it at 5 lmao.
You play 10 yo games, with a phone you can play any AAA game you want you got played like cattle
I play Resident Evil Village at 60 FPS, shit like Cyberpunk and RDR2 are completely playable as well, at around 40 FPS. You are just a coping, poor turd worlder.
I play all those at twice the fps in high quality on my $1k phone when you have to spend time tweaking your homosexual OS stfu cattle
>tweaking
Lol I tweak nothing.
>1k
LMAO sure sure lil guy. You aren't playing shit.
you don't tweak because your shitbrick won't let your lameass
give it 2 years before steam makes it obsolete like the index
Steam Deck obsolete $1500 PC that's a lie if I had ever seen one
If you want to game outside chair get beast PC and low edge device like smartphone with streaming same latency as steam deck anyway
Steam deck is not the greatest that happened to PC its GPU
Steam deckies have cult issues tbh its us vs them mentality even got banned by some angry janny like this
before for telling that wait a sec that's a bot
Modern gen phones can emulate better than Steam deck with even better battery life its insane
One of the most common games shown in steam deck threads for battery life is Light Novels and old emulation games which can run at android for longer and better than steam deck
Only games Modern gen phones can't play natively or emulated is recent modern gen AAA games but those games are mostly slops so no point playing them even steam deck struggles to play recent modern gen AAA games with cope such as 720p FSR below Low-Med or settings optimized for deck
I can emulate old PC games and other games with same quality settings like deck with 1 - 3 hrs more battery life and much more portable than steam deck so steam deck advantage is reduced only saving grace for steam deck is PC mods even then its pain in the ass to mod it should be called tinkers device
I think steam deckies struggle to understand that their niche use case is not applicable for every player and people no point doing that bs
Deck is Ultra Mobile Personal Computer not a full fat Personal Computer or even full a UMPC
If you want to argue deck is a PC then it should have both mouse and keyboard peripherals which deck only have for mouse with trackpads
Smartphones don't go parading around as Personal Computer even if it can function as personal computer with USB C dock like steam deck
Deck is hybrid of console + UMPC so it should called be ultra mobile personal console
SIR
reminder the goydeck is also slightly weaker than an ultra-budget shitbox with just a 5600g and no gpu
it's actually embarrassing levels of hardware
>Nobody's buying a 2kg shitbrick to play at 20fps
Meant for
.
>20fps
moronic xtroony kys
agreed
oops o no I just bumped the thread
hey tendy, how does piss taste? I wouldnt know, I am not a console scrub
>720p ultra-low 20fps
>moronic tendie troony still pushing this meme
1- it's 800p, 1080p connected to PC (like the switch)
2- and supports up to 120fps
3- most my games run on Medium-High settings.
>1- it's 800p, 1080p connected to PC (like the switch)
the hardware is not strong enough to run shit at 800p without shitting itself, and a lot of old games don't support 800p anyway, it's either 720p or 1080p
works on my machine
So you don't play any FPS, RTS, platformers or any other games that require mouse and keyboard?
>FPS
I do, but only singleplayer like HL and Quake 2
when I want to play multi, I do it on the pc but I haven't played much for a long time
>RTS
haven't been a fan after Generals Zero Hour
>Platformers
? they play better on gamepad
You must not have played many FPS games on PC, it's near impossible to use a controller once you've used MKB (gyro isn't that good either).
>they play better on gamepad
How so? Controllers force directional input to be mutually exclusive, making a change in direction far more cumbersome.
Other than classic Tomb Raiders, I don't see big of a difference between KB and Gamepad playing platformers
Platformers are literally conceived for consoles and their analog controls
You can play them just fine and if you really want a mouse and keyboard you can just plug those in.
Flickstick, gyro, trackpad.
Sounds like a skill issue on your end
I cannot imagine that someone who has actually used mouse and keyboard genuinely believes these compare.
I like my steam deck, but I'm not delusional about its shortcomings.
I have like 80% winrate in pvp shooters on PC and I agree with the other guy. Shooters are greatly playable with Steam Deck gyro controls and trackpads
Objectively, flickstick+gyro is superior to mouse, and trackpad is just as good. In practice this isn’t true for most people because most people have spent their entire lives using a mouse. Actually the trackpad is very good for a younger generation who is used to “touch with simulated inertia” due to phone controls. Point being, git gud. If you can’t make flickstick-gyro work it is literally skill issue on your end actually gyro sorta sucks on Deck because moving your controller means moving your screen
>flickstick+gyro is superior to mouse
no it isn't but i'll allow your opinion
It is. Gyro is equivalent to a mouse in terms of precision driven by gross and fine motor control of the wrist. Flick stick is faster and more accurate than large swipes, it provides equal travel time to any angle and requires less muscle memory to achieve the same level of accuracy in placement. The fact that modern “gaming mice” have DPI switch buttons is proof that managing large swipes in conjunction with fine precision is an unsolved problem even for KB/M.
And that’s not even counting the increased movement precision afforded by analogue movement input over WASD (though that does also come with a tradeoff in terms of ease of reversing direction)
sounds like a lot of bullshit to me.
t. been gaming for decades just fine without a gyro.
I didn’t say mouse wasn’t fine. It is fine. Gyro is not such an improvement over mouse that you’d be a fool not to switch right away. But objectively, it is better, which means it’s not a poor substitute for a mouse. Using mouse is fine, you already know it, but someone who takes the time to practice flickstick will eventually be as good or better than if they had devoted that time to mouse instead. It’s not an inherently hobbled input schema like turn-rate analogue.
next thing you'll tell me is I need a wireless mouse or one with holes in it.
RTS are dead, platformers are for consoles, and FPS is fine unless you play competitive multiplayer which I have not since pre 2010.
My PC is now a peripheral machine, I still use pc for fighting games since I need fight stick and ethernet, racing Sims since I use a wheel, if space Sims weren't dead I'd play them with a flight stick, mouse is just another peripheral that I only care to use with RTS which is also dead. When I get VR it'll have some use on pc, everything else is deck.
homie I use a controller for fps games on my desktop, I was born for this
How much are you paid to shill?
It isn't a PC. It never was and never will be. It didn't happen to the PC gaming. It's a handheld masturbation device for cucked peasants and unwashed plebs.
>Man, I can't go back to play on chair.
Read the manual. You must pull it our when you feel pain. Ofc you can't sit, your ass is a mess.
>greatest thing
a lavalamp
Nothing ever will beat a PC, because we're working using PCs, so choose some other target audience.
TL;DR: Yeah, I have noticed the campaign of the ungodly spam regarding handheld devices. PC is THE ultimate tool, it will always be THE masterrace for the foreseeable future.
go back to your BlackRock threads
Just answer the question. How much are you paid to shill?
How much are you paid to shill?
ironic
PC is still better tho. PC will still be better for the decades to come. I know what you cuckies dream of, but that technology is somewhere in the future still. The fact that your master will slow down and stagger the progress to make as much money as unhumanly possible, doesn't play well with their own ads.
TL;DR: PC is still superior to handheld devices in literally every single way.
What if it is a handheld PC?
It can't be a handheld PC, because you can't hold 2+ big screens, the lan cable, keyboard and mouse in your hands at the same time. Wait, I didn't even mention the tower, or the brick itself. Frick.
TL;DR: No such thing.
You are stupid as frick. You can connect all that shit to a Rog Ally and a Steam Deck.
>sets up a PC
>you're stupid tho
many such cases
Oh you just want to argue in circles like a moron.
>buys a mATX board
>doesn't properly mount the cooler to make space for GPU
what a fricking moron
There is no circle, there is no good faith, genuine argument. This trash tred is a corporation pushing their shit on plebs. [End of]
Anybody who works in IT and plays a lot of games for decades, a bit more than filthy casuals, has a PC. And a laptop. There is no question about it. Because technically nothing beats them. What kind of an electronic devices do you think people program on? develop games on? develop systems on? work on? host test servers on? use remote access and virtual machines on?
None of that shit is handheld. it'll only ever be, if one would be able to communicate with the electronic device directly using their brain, completely bypassing any sort of input devices.
TL;DR: again, for the imbeciles. There is no question about PCs being superior in every single way. You want to dispute it, but that is because your goal is to try and sell some garbage to people, who are working in IT. holy kek.
I can play everything I can play on my PC on my steam deck, at higher FPS until 90fps cap. This will always hold true because the deck has low resolution so my PC doesn't have to render as much.
I love my PC but all it does these days is act as a remote machine.
>I can play everything I can play
Keyword being ((You)). Universally you won't be able to play ANY game you can play on PC on your current gen handheld. It doesn't even matter, if it's an open system. Simply because some games make use of over9000 hotkey combinations, usually good "RPG's" or online "RPGs" like Ultima Online.
TL;DR: Your argument is very situational, which kills the idea of PC being a universal device. Hence PC is better.
Then plug in a keyboard and mouse into it... And just like how new hardware comes for PCs a deck 2 will most likely surface.
Why not go further a get a proper laptop, or build a brick, or get a brick, or build a tower?
>just do this
>just do that
I'm just enjoying being the masterrace PC already, I don't need extra steps. Btw, I also have a laptop (that I carry every day). You can run modern games on, steam, etc. on, but that is primarily for work.
>it's muh PC
np. you do you. Go host a web and a local game server on it, then we'll see how it'll fare during gaming. Btw, open something like the photoshop (kills your shitbox), or more like GIMP lite, and change some textures for your mod for the game X, while you're at it.
no. it's a handheld gaming device, that larps as a cucked circumsized PC, while realistically providing no comfy multi-tasking and work related ability. You won't even be able to comfortably access your own home NAS and organize your game, and/or music/movie/porn collection.
>8 wives, 16 jobs, 32 kids
>I can't
the jokes just write themselves nowadays. Play on your smartphone then.
you should have posted a moron, because that is what you are.
>muh small PC
get a or build brick, homosexual
>https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=brick+gayming+pc&ia=web
/vg/ tier post
then go there. what's the problem? I'll stay here and explain to consooomers and ad spamming bots, why any PC system beats any handheld system. And why it always will.
Explain to me how a whole ass laptop will ever be more convenient than a handheld, artard.
>have a good job/career
>sometimes work en route
>log into 8 different online systems and the router while working
>all while posting on Ganker
>btw the game is still running just great and is available with a simple alt+tab key combo
That's just a strange brag about you having to work all the time. That in no way is explaining how a laptop is more convenient than a handheld.
I just did. A laptop is a handheld, but with great multitasking. So, it is superior.
>a laptop is a handheld
Did it really only take one simple question to out you?
if you have small ass hands, I don't know what you're doing with a handheld anyway. Yes, I can hold my laptop with one hand and work on it with another one.
also, netbooks exist, but I don't have one.
What I'm saying, is if you absolutely need a portable gayyming device, that will be almost useless for basicly everything else, you can just play on your smartphone or your tablet. Genshin runs on phones, Minecraft does, Roblox does, VR does. In any case an extra handheld is simply a waste of money, if you already have all of the above. (including a PC).
Based on this, Switch shouldn't exist.
>Switch shouldn't exist.
I agree. Switch hype did die down tho, didn't it? One doesn't hear about it nearly as much nowadays. I expect the same to happen to the steam stuff.
From where I sit, the main appeal of a system like deck is for the 3rd world countries, but they're all playing on their phones anyway, so.
Can you imagine this butthole constantly hitting your arm on an airplane, playing on his laptop with a mouse?
I'm not gaming while on the plane. I'm watching stuff. Because you bring up a good point in general, the pleb ranked public transport always has tiny ass seats made for the cucklets. You can't even stretch your feet out on those. And good luck with figuring out where to put your knees in the first place.
no one wants more posts like that
>no. it's a handheld gaming device, that larps as a cucked circumsized PC, while realistically providing no comfy multi-tasking and work related ability. You won't even be able to comfortably access your own home NAS and organize your game, and/or music/movie/porn collection.
Works fine as a PC, you can even install Windows.
>Works fine as a PC
why would I by a Steam Deck to use as a PC?
wtf
it's a handheld toy.
>by
buy*
stupid iPad
Can you make the bait less obvious? Thanks.
>why would I by a Steam Deck to use as a PC?
If you only want to play on handheld and only need a PC for basic stuff then it works out fine. Not ever product is for (You) specifically.
>Good luck with that joke of a spec.
Tons of weaker laptops and mini PC's for sale right now. They are also PC's too, just like the Deck.
>Tons of weaker laptops and mini PC's for sale right now.
For gaming? People still sell NEW gaming PC's with 8 or 12gb ram? Nvm the 6k speed, it doesn't fricking matter, whenever the current ripoff standard is 32gb ram anyway.
does it explode if you increase the speed in CK3?
>np. you do you. Go host a web and a local game server on it, then we'll see how it'll fare during gaming. Btw, open something like the photoshop (kills your shitbox), or more like GIMP lite, and change some textures for your mod for the game X, while you're at it.
What the frick are these goalposts? Why would I host a webserver from the same device I play games from? Yes, I could do it but why would I.
for the work related matters, obviously. Why wouldn't you set up a web server on localhost for your tech related hobbies and work is the real question here. If you're not working in IT at all, then use a smartphone, like the rest of the tech illiterate plebs. You can play on a mobile phone just fine. Or on a tablet.
Posting from my Deck :^)
what else are you doing from your deck or your deck is doing while you're posting on Ganker using it?
>what else are you doing
>i need to have second monitor with youtube running
>and third monitor for my irc and discord
>I need music playing at the same time too
your reward centers are shot, homosexual.
You can set 8 hotkeys per trackpad easily and you have 4 buttons on the backside for modeshifts. That's 32 abilities per trackpad without issues.
I play Tales of Maj'Eyal on mine with sometimes 40 active abilities and it works great.
I'd like to correct you: You can bind 21 hotkeys per trackpad.
Radial menu allows for 21
Touch menu allows for 16
Hotbar menu allows for 16
Sure, but that's hard in any practical context. I find 8 to be the sweet spot, maybe you can do 10 with precision, but any more is pushing it imo.
But yeah you can do 84 per pad (21 times 4 mode shifts) as the theoretical maximum.
So it's a PC but you can undock it to play games in handheld mode, got it.
The level of seething in the post is so high I wonder if it's a bad faith tendie false flagging. But I digress the use case for a Steam Deck is a portable device to game on. Me being a father of two and full time worker means locking my self in my gaming room (which contains my gaming PC and boardgames) is not a valid option for being a participating parent at least while they are awake. Leaving the room open leaves my valuables at the mercy of a 2 year old who wants nothing more than to touch anything her father likes. This steam deck allows me to play my PC games in the living room and sleep and quick resume where I left off if I need to entertain children help with making bottles for my 7month old and spend time with my wife all at the same time. You cry and seethe that your PC will never be surpassed but my PC has been by the convenience of handheld, quick resume features and the ability to take my library anywhere. You are just not in a point in your life to understand advantages of such a thing you'll make it anon. Don't worry
Based gamer dad, same here. My son is 2y old and his brother will be born in March.
>Based gamer dad
sorry to be the one to break the news to you, but there is no such thing in this universe.
>Works fine as a PC, you can even install Windows.
Well, that's a facepalm with Windows. Anyway, let's get real here:
>CPU: Zen 2 4c/8t, 2.4-3.5GHz (up to 448 GFlops FP32)
>GPU: 8 RDNA 2 CUs, 1.6GHz (1.6 TFlops FP32)
>RAM 16 GB LPDDR5 on-board RAM (6400 MT/s quad 32-bit channels)
Good luck with that joke of a spec.
>PC means big box that you can barely lift. Small form factor can't be a PC.
The
Deck
Is
A
PC
You
Fricking
moron
if it's a PC why isn't it called the Steam PC?
didn't they try that already?
except, the PC in the deck stands for Portable or sometime Public Cuckery. Cucked out of good, large, multiple screens, cucked out of superior input methods, cucked out of proper multitasking, cucked out of money.
On a serious note tho, I'll just repeat myself, if you need a portable device running Genshin, Minecraft, Roblox, VR, whatever on a tiny ass screen, just use a fukken smartphone.
building a pc is easy as frick, you're not intelligent because of it
holy shit you are so stupid.
just buy a hub
You can also literally get a dock like the Switch instead of a hub.
Know what's better than just a PC?
An Ultra Mobile PC.
Yes, I agree. Alas, it doesn't exist, because you can't communicate and recieve feedback from an electronic system directly with your brain. Just yet.
Why can't a handheld be a PC?
this is why
never stated or implied anything of sorts. Nice strawmen you're fighting, anon.
The deck is a PC. You didn't refute that
Same thing happened to me when I got a Switch Lite. Got a Deck now, like it but honestly, I would prefer one the size of a Switch Lite.
>no mouse
no thanks
you can plug USB devices to the Deck
love my deck
>keyboard without insert/delete, home, end, pgup/down
troony
Where did you get that Sakuna figure?
Not that anon, but it's the pop-up-parade figure from Good Smile, I also have it
FYI that figure line looks nice externally, but they're not kidding with the "low cost" bit, they cut corners on internal construction, the pop-up-parade figures are extremely fragile
My sakunny's ankles broke randomly from being exposed to sunlight, I had to superglue her back together.
their US shop
https://www.goodsmile.info/en/product/11572/POP+UP+PARADE+Princess+Sakuna.html
I went from beating 4 games in 2022 to beating 26 games in 2023. I love my 'eck
i'm the exact opposite. i got one and every time i use it i just think "wow i sure wish i was just playing this on my PC with 4K 144hz monitor right now"
>play older/indie games and sidescrollers on deck
>play more modern games and FPS on PC
Are you moronic? I mean it's not rocket science. If you bought a deck to play AAA trash on it at sub 20 fps 144p that's on you.
then just get a switch. the whole point of the deck is that it can play AAA games.
Switch games are way more expensive and they run like shit because the hardware is too underpowered.
The whole point of the deck is that you can play indie games and games that aren't graphically intensive. At acceptable performance, unlike the Switch.
Switch can't even play GTA 4. I also can't mod my games in it, nor emulate anything.
I bought steam deck oled, and it really is a great companion device.
Will also slow useless graphical circlejerk, now that we finally have a decent minimum spec device for game development on pc side.
homie you could always play with the graphics on low.
This is a shill thread
>teehee how is the switch selling so much teeheehee
>no! you want to talk about the deck?! no! shill! no! nooooooo!
>marketing tendie games with 50+ porn threads and 10 Kotaku threads aren't shilling XDDD
Hiro must've cut a sweet deal with Gabe so that blatant marketing threads are allowed.
There were much more threads about the Nintendo Switch when it was about to be released.
Watcha playan on yours bros? Got my steam deck oled recently and been playing Watch Dogs, battery life is insane compared to the old LCD deck.
I will never understand portable gaming. I'm using big soft armchair, adjustable table and a 32" monitor. I can literally sit 20 hours a day without a problem. And when I'm out, I don't need or want to play games.
But what if I want to play while laying down? Or when I'm on the road? It has its uses.
>But what if I want to play while laying down?
you can still play on PC and it'll still be better. Not to mention, why the frick do you even want to play while laying down in the first place? Unless you have a very serious medical condition, you should just cease to exist, you useless lazy blob of biomaterial.
> Or when I'm on the road?
This Black person doesn't have a powerful laptop to work and game with, on top of his decent PC. What a poor cuck.
>It has its uses.
Yes. For people, who know frick all about technology, electronics, or poorfricks, who can't place anything, except a mattress, in their so called houses.
once I got myself in a face to face debate about the power supply not being the most important part of a computer but the fricking chair you sit your ass the entire day and got kicked out of the room like I if I were rockefeller or something
Thinking about getting one of these for my Dad. I'm assuming it plays War Thunder
>warthunder on a fricking steamdeck
do you hate your dad?
I'm interested in the Deck but this does feel like a shill thread. The "my gaming PC is collecting dust" is kinda heavy-handed
As someone with a deck I can understand it. I barely even leave the house and didn't really think I'd even use it much, just got it for novelty to check it out, but I ended up using it all the time. You'd be surprised how much time it takes away from the desktop.
I think people just forget that there are a lot of people who just prefer the form factor of a handheld over a controller and TV. It's like people who browse the internet / watch video on a phone or tablet instead of the PC/TV. It's why suggestions like use a laptop don't actually convince anyone.
Here's my perspective on it. The wife bought one and never uses it, so I can use it whenever I want. I installed a few games and don't use it either. I've put more gaming time in on my laptop which is admittedly even weaker than the Steam Deck and various consoles because I've been playing games for decades and have multiple generations of consoles gathering dust. I literally used the Wii more last year than the Steam Deck.
How was the Steam Controller Gankerros?
I picked up an 'ock for my 'eck and the Gaben controller is the only thing that has touchpads similar to the default deck layout.
I don't doubt that I'll most likely end up using an Xbox controller most of the time but I would actually like to use the desktop or play PC centric games from my bed. Buying a wireless keyboard and mouse just sounds a little obtuse in comparison.
I was blinded by the deck for my steam controller. The problem the steam controller has is no 2nd analog stick. As soon as they fix that it'll be great.
The deck is a great remote control for a PC and an ok replacement for FPS gaming. I like to shill it for fun but it's a bit lacking in other areas. Second joystick and a proper d-pad would be great.
Basically pic related.
> deck
Meant controller
>Larger touchpads are much better than the tiny deck ones
>Right touchpad is better than a stick in most cases, but not all
>Left touch bad is worse than having a d-pad in most cases
>Haptics are a meme and I hate them, but a lot of controllers are sadly going this direction
>Ergonomics are weird. Not terrible like the OG xbox controller, but not great either
>Construction feels kind of cheap and buttons feel mediocre
It's fun to play around with, but overall I'd say there's a lot more negatives than positives. The right touch pad (which is admittedly really good) is all it's got going for it. Even then it's only good in games that don't shit themselves with simultaneous mouse and controller input (like dragon's dogma) since the emulated joystick mode is shit.
Feels like a prototype of something that could have been great.
I disagree about the right stick being better than a stick. My aim in cyberpunk is infinitely better on my deck than on a steam controller because you can turn much more precisely with the stick than the pad.
Here's an ultimate pro tip:
Get into steam remote play from your 1500 dollar PC to your deck. The added latency is negligible and it opens up so many games.
I want better docked performance. 1080p still needs to be the performance target. Deck 2 wen
The deck 1 is already a furnace portable, trying to push it further docked would cause a house fire
I play docked almost exclusively at 1080. Hasn't given me problems, outside of FFXV. Which can only run on average at 1080.
Highest at native though.
Target fps being 30 btw, which is what it runs at in consoles. 60 would obviously be nicer but it's a handheld that runs a game that demanding - I may as well be asking it to blow me too.
That's what the steam link box and a gaming PC is for.
mine works fine docked at 1080p but everything up to like 2017
REMINDER THAT MOONLIGHT AND SUNSHINE IS WAY BETTER THAN THE REGULAR STEAM STREAM METHOD AND IS BASED AF
Thank you for your efforts, 50 cents have been deposited to your Valve account.
Why do every Deck thread have such a low IP count?
Because there are people who like to discuss instead of doing drive-by posting?
>portal fails miserably
>snoys crawl back to shilling the deck
Its so comfy man I love my steamdeck
It's peak comfy. That's why I setup my desktop PC on my HDTV, and use a wireless keyboard and mouse on my recliner. Office chair gaming is horrible
>Office chair gaming is horrible
I prefer it. I wouldn't want to drive a sports car with a couch for a seat.
buy a better chair
>$1500 gaming pc obsolete
odd, I use it for more than gaming.
i guess you should just stick to consoles?
ti9mestamp your PC please.
How many decks have been sold?
We have no idea, sales numbers haven't been updated in over a year.
"Multiple millions" according to Valve, estimates put it around 3 million
It seems unlikely to have passed 5 million as Valve probably would've said something
Not great, but considering it's a system without exclusives and almost no advertising it's not terrible either. I think it should be treated as enthusiast hardware.
>and almost no advertising
It's been shilled like crazy everywhere, there's always at least 2 obvious paid shill threads on Ganker for example. They did the "giveaway" during game awards before and ads of it everywhere.
It's one of the biggest failures I've seen.
I am going to let you in on a secret;
There are no paid shills on Ganker. It's a meme
>companies that pay nearly millions to have streamers stream a game to 10000 people would NEVER pay some Indian 5 cents to effortlessly shill a product on a site that fits their demographic 100% and have millions of users
valve bots are pathetic and should jump off a bridge asap
These threads stay up for hours. Are you really trying to say that valve is paying everyone to talk about the deck on a Japanese bug collecting forum?
Are you really that moronic?
>everyone
They're clearly paying some pajeets to make these threads daily and bump them 24/7, they've been doing this for years despite the threads having really low IP count.
But we are bumping it right now and i am not a paid shill. Does that mean you are a poo in the loo?
>we
lol
Yes, stupid, we.
Even if you are saging, every time I respond to your idiocy, it bumps the thread.
huh?
i'm not buying a steam deck.
pier pressure doesn't mean pewp to me.
>Pier pressure
at least someone isn't a marketer. ty.
>The n-gage sold more than the deck
Probably not anymore.
SpottemGottem sold more than Beethoven
>seething tendie samegays the last thread for 13 hours straight
>F5s the catalog for 2 hours until a new one shows up and starts again
Imagine living like this. If only he had games to play.
Those "seething tendies" are the only reason these threads get close to bump limit.
How's that even a good thing when 3/4 of the content is passive-aggressive shitposting?

>no one mentions epic
>b-but epic!!!

Love the deck. I don’t use it for PC games though. I use it as my computer and emulation station. And I use it to play ps5 in bed. Have a wireless mouse and keyboard and external monitor for it.
lmao
discordsisters... it's over... they got her...
Could I get by this gen with a Steam Deck or do I need a PS5? Not interested in the usual AAA Western slop.
Why the frick would you even consider a ps5 if you don't want western slop?
Everyone else seems to love theirs. I hate mine. The button layout cramps my hands, the performance is terrible, the battery life is unforgivable given that performance, and remote play introduces so much latency that it may a well not exist when the broken-ass dock even wants to work with my PC. I'm convinced everyone is pretending to like these things in desperation that it may finally make Linux a viable gaming platform.
Sounds like you should have bought an Ally or a Go.
>battery dies in 45 min
>lights on fire
No thank you.
Only issue I have is with my tiny hands not reaching the shoulder bumpers, but I just remap L1/R1 to the back buttons.
The placement of the buttons/d-pad are what do it for me. They're in nonstandard places thanks to the homosexual touchpads they thought were so important to crowbar in and the deck is heavy enough that I'm essentially supporting it with the same thumb I'm trying to manipulate freely. The shoulder buttons are also way too high making switching between them a pain. The sticks themselves are a little loose, kind of like a Dualshock 3 or prior. The whole thing just feels like how not to make a controller, and I was happy with my Wii U for perspective.
Running through a ASUS RT-AX86U Pro using only Cat 6 cables. It comes through with artifacting out the ass and with unplayable latency. Use Sunshine instead and it comes through with artifacting out the ass and noticeable but better latency.

Idk what's wrong with your set up, but it literally werks on my machine.
>They're in nonstandard places thanks to the homosexual touchpads
No they're not. If the sticks or buttons were down there instead of the touchpads that'd be awful.
>Running through a ASUS RT-AX86U Pro using only Cat 6 cables
Might be a driver issue with your PC or something then.
If the hardware isn't the problem then its something you did wrong with the software.
how freakishly small are your hands, are you a midget
I'm 6'1 but have comically small hands and feet.
>not posting those hands
Shiggy diggy
It's more to do with the distance in the depth of the Deck then it's hight. Literally straining as hard as I can to move my finger to R1 here.
>remote play introduces so much latency that it may a well not exist
Literal skill issue. Mine adds about 8ms of latency which is less than most of HDMI to TV setups add.
Make sure you got a good router and running your deck on 5ghz spectrum.
>5ghz spectrum
I do not game on wireless.
i got used to mine but my biggest issue is that yeag remote play kinda blows and also im a windows homosexual so i can only do the weird hacky streaming gamepass stuff. i also dont want to take the time to install another OS and do a dualboot thing. overall does what i want even if i have to install third party bullshit like glorious eggroll.
Linux is fine without the Steam Deck. It's been my operating system for over a decade at this point.
I'm convinced you have malformed hands or are full of shit unless you post your deck with a timestamp.
It's honestly hilarious the Deck mind broke so many autistic Samegays to this very day. It's honestly sad how much they really get buck broken by a single UMPC that's doing well by a universally known company
>Inb4 Steam Drone
I have a Deck and Switch ;^)
>I have a Deck and Switch ;^)
why?
>$1500 gaming pc
Are you sure you actually had a gaming PC? My video card alone cost $2,000.
ack gays are just as mentally ill as switch gays

This. It's too versatile. It's portable enough. I use it at work, at home, and will be taking it on a cruise next year. Best purchase I made for all of 2023.
I have the same folding keyboard. It's a must have deck accessory in my opinion. The thing folds up to the size of my phone.
My friend has an even better mini mechanical keyboard for his. Doesn't fold though.
how good is the deck compared to a pc in the same price range?
>how good is the deck
suckass. You get one little tiny screen for ants. Imagine not being able to watch youtube and shitpost on Ganker on the same time, all while your default character is auto grinding in some online garbage game on your 3rd screen.
>>made my $1500 gaming pc obsolete, collecting dust
Should bought legion go.
And have you tried using it with moonlight?
>Should bought legion go.
The detachable 'mouse' can be a major source hw failure. You can play most of the modern fps games with controller and the screen is too small for rts games.
Nobody's buying your shitbrick Gabe
>He doesn't connect his computer to the living room tv
>He doesn't pc game with a controller on his couch or recliner
>Not using steam remote play
But why?
can I pirate games on it tho? If so, I might buy one
You can. I haven't tried piracy outside of emulation but it's completely possible.
I wanna get this but mainly because I want to dock it to my TV and play, yes, standing up. Maybe occasionally play in handheld mode on my big comfy chair, depending on the game.
>Use an hdmi wifi dongle in my pc
>Get a 144hz portable monitor
>Dualshock 4 connected with bluetooth
>Get a flexible arm to mount the monitor in my bed
I can play anything I want on my bed and even use a wireless keyboard to do some work, you guys are really missing out
