Probably because, out of everything else, it's the most unique thing about her design.
Not to (i wanna say) downplay the rest of the design, but you can't say that her Magneton head, along with the magnets in her hair acting as her arms, isn't immediately striking.
Yeah, setting aside the exaggerated hourglass figure that can understandably be a hit or miss for a lot of people and the obvious smut aspect, it's genuinely a fun and clever design. Didn't even take a lot, too: just put Iono's hair on Magneton and make it act like arms and that's it.
It doesn't even have to be Iono for the concept to work because, as chabble demonstrated, you can do the same with characters like Miku, Rin and Len and it'll be just as charming.
Honestly I'm tempted to do other characters in a similar manner, but I feel like it'd dilute the originality of the concept, so I'm practicing self control (one day I may draw Magneton Peach with little Mario/Luigi Magnemites)
I've been tempted, however my issue is that I don't want to start a commitment with it, then only have like 2-3 people sign up. I tried testing the waters to see if people would be interested in something like that with a Ko-Fi, but I only got one dollar after publicly announcing it on several places (and that came from someone I was talking to about it directly on Discord).

Nope, for several reasons.
1. If an idea doesn't completely catch my interest, I can hardly focus on it and I end up getting sloppy.
2. Whenever I DO listen to the things people want me to draw, it has nothing to do with the stuff I generally draw like, "Oh, I think you should draw this character from this cartoon as a futa!". Like when the hell have I done anything like that?
3. I did a massive commission project a few years ago that took 2.5 years to finish (gamedev stuff) that was so horribly, I literally feel sick to my stomach at the idea of taking on a commission now.

This is how I did my Gardevoir's eyes: the ring of bones around the eye have a stretch to modifier targeting the end of the ones coming from the center of the eye in a star pattern and then the star bones set to damped track to the squares.
The only bones that get weight painted are the ones in the ring.

His pokegirl transformation stuff has a bit of a lore behind it where it's the result of using a "Rarer Candy" (theres also a reversal candy if I recall), so yeah, her body would more than likely be natural, just a result of the candy's scientific magic turning her original body into a separate part of her controlled with magnetism or whatever.

Yeah, but I’d say when it comes to humanoid Pokemon, I’d say they can have children with other humanoid pokemon, but the mother has the dominant gene. Sort like the Asari from Mass Effect, but the offspring are capable of being either male or female.
A lot of the Genderless/Gender Unknown Pokémon, like the Magnemite line, reside in the Mineral group. So let's say that Ionoton is in the Mineral/Human-Like egg groups.
If I recall, theres no "Genderless" pokemon in the first place, I think it's "Gender unknown" if I'm not mistaken, so they have genders, but no one has been able to figure out how to identify it on some species.

This is how I did my Gardevoir's eyes: the ring of bones around the eye have a stretch to modifier targeting the end of the ones coming from the center of the eye in a star pattern and then the star bones set to damped track to the squares.
The only bones that get weight painted are the ones in the ring.
Also, I'm just getting ready to go to work so the thread will likely be dead by the time I get home.
