Yeah, idk. I didn't like the timer as a kid. I heard you can bypass it later in the game, but the first time I lost all my dungeon progress I stopped caring.
I seriously don't understand how so many people got filtered by the timer. After the tutorial you can learn the song of reverse time which gives you plenty of time to complete a single temple in a run. I guess not a lot of people spoke to the scarecrow that tells you about it.
you can learn a song to make time move slower. 1 min=1 hour usually but the song makes it so 3 min=1 hour. you lose all your rupees and items but you keep key items like equipment and heart pieces.
It's like one of the worst sold zelda games. Nobody plays it for it to be considered "overrated".
Why? Just play the game. It's still one of the best ever made as-is.

i wouldn't mind seeing Nintendo try to do a Majora's Mask 2 though - not a mainline Zelda title or even Zelda related but just something with the same DNA. family friendly but very dark setting with dark stories, a repeating time loop, masks as a mechanic was very cool and i loved the symbolism behind them. it was kind of like Silent Hill for kids in some ways but without it being like dumbed down.
That is kind of what Nintendo tried to do with Twilight Princess. It’s even a sequel narratively.
yeah but i think that was a minor point of its conception, really it was about living up to that Spaceworld trailer everyone saw and got pissed off about Wind Waker over.

OOT+MM together on PC sounds cool as frick, combined as one game. i believe there's a rom like that but you still have to emulate

3DS version with restoration mod is the ultimate version available.

sure. start working on the N64 decomp team. when there is an adequate or full x86 build, start modding it to how it was supposed to be. heck, you can even take the good from the 3DS remaster.
