even with accelerock dusk Lycanroc's sharp claws make up for the atk discrepancy and make them nearly identical in power.
Powercreep has left Rampardos far in the dust there are just pokemon now that just have Rampardos's atk with none of the the drawbacks or abilities that make them just as nuclear if not more.
Maybe if Rampardos got rock head and lowered it's speed even more, filled out it's def and spdef, gained accelerock and got rock head it would be good in trick room.
He could make it out with grassy GLide
It would need massive base stat buffs to make it either fast or a tank in order to become viable. Being both frail and slow is a death sentence no matter what.

honestly fossilmons in general need higher bsts baring Archeops and the gen 8 "fossils" that have insane signature moves and abilities that patch their speed.
My bro Bastiodon was robbed, he looks like a ground/steel but was still made a rock/steel instead because gf was still autistic with giving that typing to every fossil back then

Reckless and Accelerock, go full Crawdaunt with it.
Reckless Head Smash lets it put gigantic fricking holes in walls (If you feel like popping tera, it can even OHKO Dondozo) and Accelerock makes it not entirely dead weight against offensive teams.

I imagine if something out speeds and 1 hit KOs the Pokemon, it doesn't faint yet. It will use the move and then it faints.
If you click the move at any point and you miss, it faints like a dodged self destruct.
The other way (and what gamefreak probably would do) is that it'll be stuck using the move constantly and won't faint until the move misses or runs out of PP, even if a hit would otherwise take it out.
I guess that's kinda cool

Sheer Force. Smogon actually recommends running Rampardos as a mixed attacker in whatever bottom tier he ends up in.

that's like its one thing, just take away more special attack instead. It wouldn't even be as minmaxed as stuff like Paldean Tauros
They have 40 points less in attack. And less hp.
The only stat it would rival is defence by 5 points and it's speed.
And if you want to just make it a speed sweeper you may as well just crank everything to speed and attack. I was making it more bulky in general since it's already suffering from a rock type.

Ramparados is a weird pokemon. You can take it in a few ways.
Either crank it's speed up and make it a suicide bomb.
Or boost it's defences and try to make it bulk. 90HP is something you can work with. But I think it's either going to be boost it's stats. Or Give it a new form.
