If these were Onix's stats in Gen I, how would it stack up against Rhydon and Golem? Seems like he would still be a lesser version of both, just a lot closer
Almost everything can run special coverage (persian with bubblebeam, tauros with blizzard) so it wouldn't really counter anything in the OU tier. Still, it would be much much better than it is now
With Duraludon, Ursaluna, and Bisharp getting cross gen evos, Steelix is probably going to be an unexpected mon that gets a cross gen evo later on
