They make the remakes first to exploit the mindset of "we need to buy this game we already played so they make a sequel" to get a small boost in sales. Yes, they will make a sequel soon. No, you do not need to buy this remake for them to make it. It will sell millions without anyone who ever played the original touching it. Wait for the sequel.

Its weird because it looks 1:1 even the colors are colder that your average Mario like in the OG game, all the enemies so far seem to be exactly the same but with more polygons but there are two things that bother me
The UI feels boring and too celphone RPG like and the enemies don't seem to "dance" like in the original game.
Game should limit animations to keyframes like Super Mario Wonder or YIIK. Frick YIIK unironically does a better job than this holy shit.

Looking at the remade graphics got me appreciating just how good the original still looks. The new one doesn't look bad by any means but the original will probably look good forever.
The game didn't have a subtitle in the original JP release.
Given that the boxart is also referencing the JP original, I assume they dropped the subtitle because of that too.
Would be kind of cool if they added Yoshi as a secret 6th character, and made it obscure enough that it was SnowGrave tier so no one believed anyone telling them about it.
